I've put out 9 videos and I've got 8 subs, yet I watch people do the exact same games and things I do and they have 50.000subs+.. It bothers me, but they will come in time and I do this for the love of gaming not for the sub or view count, but it does help.

Ken, do you know how hard it is to get noticed now'a days? Its probably worse than the music industry, people try and promote there channel on youtube and it gets flags as spam, make a facebook page and no one likes it because no one knows who you are! its hard but like you say hard work will get you there, but not for everyone :(

It's bad for me, 3k viewers a day, less than a subscriber a day on average, and maybe 2-3 videos a week recently... Ues some of them may just be walkthroughs but that's what my subscribers want, I watch the community and respond to subs but my subscribers to views ratio is very low and annoying. I wish I could get a load of help from people like Machinima. Guess I will upload 2 commentaries this week and get a load of views but no subs. Perpetual loop of nothing annoyance :/

ken just a quick questionas in relation to the post you replied to , what if someoen was to have pretty great content and unique but not have the numbers say few hundred subs and average like a 1:2 view to sub ratio on there vids would they get a shot compared to someone who has 10k subs and like 3k views on average with not good content at all?

i just wondering as i starting to make videos again not saying m stuff is great and unique. just hard work to ge tnoticed (cut short due to limit :( )

For you guys that give Ken shit, know this, he is incredibly helpful. Every time I send him and email talking about directorship he replies in a helpful way and he manages to get some ideas going because he gives you a goal. When I first spoke to ken I was at 1300 subs, now I'm at 4000 (nearly).

At last I get to watch something else than fuckin' COD. Machinima needs more guys like SpeirsTheAmazinHD. Now his channel is entertaining AND provides information. When I watch machinima I want videos that are WORTH something or at least they are entertaining, but most of the videos I see from directors are COD videos where a 15-17 year old guy talks about some bullshit that nobody is interested in, and it absolutely have nothing to do with the gameplay.

@TheSilverPepper i completely agree with you tbh. However Ken's job is to find people with an already significant following who are likely to make Machinima the most money. If you partner someone who does not have this Machinima are wasting money paying them which they could use on bigger channels and get more money from ad revenue in return. Sadly , this means the rest of use will find it harder than ever to get grow as Ken won't risk partnering small channels with lots of potential.
