i would love to feel the emotions experienced in order to write this song. music = emotion. everyone = made of emotion. well, why doesn't everyone write music? instead of trying to express their emotion in other ways. same goes for any art. it goes so deep that at first, it can only be recognized by you, but if everyone else had views at the depths of art, they would be able to completely understand anyone. i guess.

This is my favourite song off of this album, it's perfectly composed. Unique sounds are progressively added throughout the song, each listen is more rewarding than the last. I get an uncomfortable wave of chills at 2:10 every single time, it's just his voice, and then suddenly everything jumps in to accompany him. It's like for a moment you feel like all is lost, everything is gone, then you get a blast of reassurance and hope. Excuse my cheesiness, but it's beautiful.

I can't believe it. I heard this song playing quietly in a bus in France, at first I thought my iPhone started playing this song accidently by itself. Then I checked my phone but No, the song was unexpectedly coming from the radio. I cannot believe that my favorite band is becoming more and more mainstream, and its hurts. Bon Iver was something that truly only I enjoyed, something just for me, as I have been following them since the publishment of their first album. Sharing Bon Iver hurts.

I swore he said "the frost took up the axe" sort of saying the winter brought an end to the inner and outer relationship. And then it was the sample of the axe sliding on the ground. It gave the most amazing perception of what was felt. Hopefully he would be pleased to know even when his lyrics are misunderstood the music speaks so loud as a whole that it can transform it's beauty to form the key to another door. But it reminds me of my ex girlfriend (we listened to Bon Iver ALLL the time) and that kinda' sucks. But I'm really a huge fan.
