  • I don't know why people think it was Stalin who ruined Lenin's pristine legacy, he was only carrying on what Lenin had already started doing. Even Trotsky did some very questionable things.

If you want to look for a pure legacy of socialist freedom in the Russian Revolution, you have to look all the way back to the workers' councils, and the Kronstadt navy,

  • This is mummifying a mass-murderer, deifying him, applying an "ism" to his last name, regalling him in flowers, that still can't extinguish the malodorous fumes eminating, and then collecting funds from stupid tourists paying homage to an Hitler-like legacy.

  • @chickenwretch

I believe Lenin is treated more like a George Washington type figure, rather than Hitler, by the Russian people.

Of course Georgie had a dark history too, and a cult of personality that is equal to him, but no one seems to care.

History is riddled with murder, but with my years of studying this old chap, I can tell you he was on the lower side. Most of the people attributed to his "murdering" were reactionists, and of course a revolution isn't a dinner party.

  • @havee3333333 Yes I can understand Lenin having the status of a founder of a new Russia, and as such can be compared to a George Washington. I think the comparisons would end there beginning with the concept of liberty vs that of 1 party rule. George came from a landowner gentry and Vladimir from an slightly upper middle class civil servant background. His profession being that of a lawyer could argueably place him as bourgeoise, although he despised the intelligentsia. Interesting man for sure.

  • @chickenwretch

Lenin actually didn't mean to set up a one party rule, rather a no party rule. He called the Communist party 'The Vanguard of the People'. His Vanguard Government was to simply watch over the progression from Socialism to Communism; he once said that Socialism is the transition from Capitalism to Communism. The Vanguard was also supposed to have limited control, but after his death, and Stalin's rise, that changed.

Lenin also followed some Libertarian aspects.

  • Interesting that the Russian people don't believe it dishonors Lenin by basically turning his mummified corpse into a freakshow..

  • They should pull out that old mummy & put the relics of the Czar's family in there instead.

  • What is the music that is, or was played inside the Mausoleum?

  • Communism may have killed directly. But capitalism kills indirectly and cotinues to do so every single day. Whether its bombing and invading a country for oil, or whether its insufficient safety procedures for nuclear plants and oil refineries especially in Japan and under the ocean. Or how about testing nuclear weapons above ground where their own soldiers and civilians will be affected. Both communism and capitalism kill. But capitalism does it much better and sneakier. Like cell phone cancer.

  • @summer20105707 Killing has nothing to do with Capitalism, that is just your brain warped around conspiracy. War is human nature, not a CAPITALIST ideal. Oil is everything to every nation no matter what ideology. The Nuclear weapons testing in US was mostly below ground. No idiot is going to detonate a 20MT nuclear weapon and let Radiation fly out everywhere, they probably take out the radiation.

  • @shadowhunter388

Mostly below ground. But not all. There are cases where they've radiated their own troops and own people. Wouldn't you say that planning the Iraq war on false pretenses was a conspiracy? Yes its true that war is part of human nature. But there is a dirty form of capitalism that uses war for profit.

  • @summer20105707 You might as well throw out your microwave.

  • @shadowhunter388

No I like the microwave. I'd rather throw away politicians instead.

  • yeah, crowds of fucken morons

when will this communist scare-crow be burned at last?

  • @casperado666

Flesh may die. Ideas don't die as easily. No disrespect intended but perhaps you should ask why the so called communist scare-crow maintains his popularity long after his movement has supposedly died. Perhaps its because capitalism continues to make the same mistakes it always. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer making it easy for potential Lenins and Stalins to come to power. When will capitalists learn to control their greed? The likely answer is NEVER.

  • @summer20105707 my family lived in the USSR. concerning democratic process - it was just as bad as capitalism (only a small amount of olgarchs owned the whole country) but an average individual had less to eat and nothing to wear and had absolutely no rights when dealing with the state officials. so i chose capitalism anyday. in form of social democracy like in Germany.

  • @casperado666

    fair enough.

  • Lenin's body is to be removed later this year after parliament voted for him to be gone despite protest by Communists.

  • @DavBlc7 are you sure?

  • I'll never go to Russia but I am there in sprit

  • Is it only me, or Im the only one raging when they call Lenin's Mausoleum a "Tourist attraction"?

Its not a fucking tourist attraction. Its a place to honor the biggest revolutionary in the world. A great leader who fought the whole world from a piece of land, and won, later rebuilding the country with bare hands. Its not supposed to attract some retards who think this is fun.

Pay some fucking respect you americunts.

  • @Kessador yeah well russia keeps bothering poland.

  • @silentsniperrr What? :O

  • @Kessador ahh im just messin.

  • @silentsniperrr The problem is that I completely didnt understand what you ment lol

  • @Kessador nah its just im half polish and damn stalin era russians basically ripped poland apart in ww2

  • @silentsniperrr Im Polish myself.

At least the country was rebuilded faster then were other countries damaged in WW2.

Poland had a crappy situation, because it was a USSR satelite, and because of that, most of their products, like agricultural, were taken away by the Russians. If not that, Poland would be a marvelous place, with an amount of food sustainable for its citizens.

  • @Kessador Lenin's tomb should be replaced with a communism holocaust museum honoring the victims of Marxism/Leninism. His body should be cremated and its ashes mixed with porcelain and made into toilets to be used in the museums bathrooms. That way visitors could piss and shit om Lenin for all time!

    Thus always to tyrants!

  • @Kessador it's a place where the communist mummy lies and where the pitiful oldfucks can worship it. it's like in the middle ages when a saint would be mummyfied so the others would come and kiss his asshole. communism is just another sick fucking cult. Dozens of my family members died because of this sneaky lisping jew, so i'd be glad to take a major dump on his shiny forehead.

  • It's a shame that Stalin had to ruin Lenin's true vision of the Soviet Union. It never quite recovered after his rule.

  • @Dezzreck America and the West ruined the Soviet Union. Stalin transformed the USSR into a superpower using repression.

  • @Dezzreck lenin was terrible. he said that it is better to kill 9/10ths of the nation so that the 1/10th remaining obeys him. he murdered millions

  • @IvanTheHealer C'mon, You actually believe that shit? I bet you can't find one source for that quote. Personally I'm not really a fan of Lenin or Leninism because genuine worker control has to come from the workers themselves, not a party that supposedly acts "in their best interest." But you have to consider the instability of Russia at the time, with WWI, famines, and especially the Russian civil war. I think it's going too far to simply say that he killed people senselessly.

  • @Dezzreck ughh..executive orders are hard to argue with

  • I am an American and would love to go to russia just once is that too much to fucking ask when I do I will put some flowers on Lenins tomb

  • lenin was a crooked idiot. Russia was and will always be better under the Czars.

  • @TheArmo1 dude russia was a terrible place during the tzars

  • @TheArmo1 Are you kidding? Women had no right's, crops were failing, they wouldn't pull out of WW1, food stamps were the only way to get food, the Tzar sat up there putting gold on his bread.

Lenin comes, implements the NEP, gives women full rights, allowed the people in Russia to actually be able to eat, pulled out of WW1, repealed a counter-revolutionary attack, and supplied schooling and electricity to everyone is Russia.

  • The historian said it best: a country is the result of its history, and it is sacrilege to try to pretend part of history didn't happen. For better or worse (and I think in many ways better), Lenin was one of the most important figures of a thousand years of Russian history. He has to be remembered.

It strikes me as ironic that in today's Russia, the communist woman at 1:00 is permitted to wave her flag and demonstrate. That same liberty would not be afforded to a democrat 30 years ago.

  • @nojyt 30 years ago there were demonstrators in Russia, you just don't hear about it because it would make the Soviet's look liberal so all the right-wingers keep that part quiet

  • @Potts132 I fear you missed the point of my message. In any case, regarding what you said, there are protests in China too, today. But few people are foolish enough to think China is a free and open society. Smart authoritarian governments know how much to let people vent their anger, and also know when to send the secret police in. Don't be fooled about Soviet-era Russia.

  • @nojyt Don't be fooled? I did live there you know

  • @Potts132 That doesn't make you an expert. It just gives you an opinion.

  • no dont burry it!!

i wanna buy it for fire wood, i bet hes dry enough

  • shut the fuck up. im serious, theres just 10 yr old fags on the computer spaming crap just like you. you just came to this vid cuz ur justa 10 yr old fag wanting to see a dead body so shut up dick head

  • everyone who commented on top of my commment and below mine are just a typical fat ass americans writing shit that they dont even study and are probably just some fat 10 year old on the computer writing shit all day

  • No rebuttal for Lenin's TRUE opinion of Stalinism???? No apology??? Apparently you cannot admit when you are wrong. A characteristic not uncommon in the frail, perverse, unprincipled imagination of the pro-capitalist. I'm not surprised at all with your actions. Furthermore, it mitigates credence to your claims of the superior bourgeoisie economic and social structure.

  • i don't have to admit that i'm wrong when i'm not, i mean, sure in your opinion i'am but then again, i'm finde with that, as far as word of mouth goes, i agree plus those reports depend heavily on the persons own experiences made, your grandfather may have made different experience back then for there is no definitive all valid assertion based on word of mouth. of course i'm an advocate of capitalism, socialism/marxism/communism so far has NEVER worked anywhere in the world,

  • Let me clarify for you...TRUE MARXISM has never EXISTED anywhere in the world for any significant period of time. It DID however prove that it can overthrow the seemingly "invincible" bourgeoisie war machine in the October Revolution of 1917,and therefore is...the greatest event in the history of humanity. The problem is, Lenin died just 2 years after the communist Soviet Union's emancipation. Stalin took over and because of perversion with civil liberties, Marxism was betrayed. Those are facts.

  • anyways, let's just agree to disagree , it's personal preferences and beliefs, no disrespect intendet, not at all ;)

  • No disrespect intended to you either. All my disrespect was initially aimed at "your friend" because of his behavior at Lenin's tomb, and ALL of my disrespect remains aimed at CAPITALISM itself....and I will die fighting to bury it forever.

  • okay, i can clearly see that you've made your choice, so did i too, well, i can't say good luck to someone who fights what i promote :D but anyways, i can tell that you're a decent person so i'd go with kind regards for that matter ;)

  • a friend of mine once went there, and had taken a photo of him being inside while having a little U.S. flag waving in his hands with a sick smile on his face , now that's a great picture :D

  • Your friend is a coward. Tell him I said so. Make yourself useful unlike the efforts of your last posting. U.S. flag? Easy to do when Lenin is departed. Lenin was a man that could have saved YOU from the oppression you will further endure under the thumb of the American bourgeoisie. Long live Lenin. Long live Marxism.

  • he's nowhere near a coward, plus if i told him someone called him a coward on youtube that praises marxism and lenin in the same line he would just piss his pants in laughter, and that's the only reaction approriate to that ! when you're looking for cowardism and oprression just take a closer look at your so beloved marxism and lenins lovechild stalin ;) as far as my friend goes, he did a great job waving the U.S. flag smiling next to lenins remains ;)

  • No...he IS a coward. Smiling with a U.S. flag ins indicative of that. As for my beloved Marxism and "Lenin's lovechild Stalin", clearly you are in the interest of bourgeoisie disinformation. You must educate yourself before we continue any kind of debate here , as you possess no factual foundation. Stalin was not Lenin's lovechild, but instead in Lenin's last writing that he was to read if not paralyzed, he petitioned for Stalin's removal for betrayal of the proletariat. Anything else????

  • you wouldn't have the guts to say that to his face, that's why i care less about comments being made from the safety distance of a personaö computer, but anyways pal, you obviosly chersih some facts as you call them, that rely very much on the sources that have issued them, if you know what i mean. i know first hand from my german gradmother about what troops contributed what to getting rid of nazi scum, i'm not going to talk the soviets off of their share,

  • No...I WOULD have the guts to say that to his face. What's the worst that will happen? He is going to physically assault me? A small price to pay for the unrelenting ethical plight of the proletariat. It's ironic that you take issue with this, because the whole debate began with YOUR FRIEND'S act of capitalist humiliation in the face of a departed man, a revolutionary hero...Lenin. The proletariat is happy to give you and your friend a little of their own medicine if provoked first.

  • As for U.S. flag, cherish it...for it would not exist today if not for the proletariat RED ARMY of the Soviet Union. It was the Soviet Union that drove Hitler's German forces all the way back to Berlin where he would commit suicide in cowardly defeat. Yes, the COMMUNIST nation, the nation of "slaves" as Hitler called them, the Soviet Union. Show some gratitude. If not for soviet Russia, you and your COWARDLY friend would be speaking German right now, under a shroud of oppression unseen before.

  • but what you claim the soviets of having a part in WW2 is way off lines.the russian troops were amazed about german bathrooms having"water coming out of the wall"as my grandmother told me in laughter, and we all know how the russian share of germany after ww2 ended up after they have imposed your beloved maxism onto its back and we also know about the ultimate communist soviet fate, and thats enough facts for me,and that's the reason why my friend was waving the U.S. flag next to lenins remains

  • No offense intended to your "German Grandmother", but MY grandfather is ALSO from Germany and sees the argument in a much different light....from MY side, which was based on logic and practical reasoning to begin with...NOT word of mouth. The fact is, word of mouth can be fabricated along the way and is often distributed in the interests of the provider's own selfish argument. The argument of the proletariat is not one of selfishness, but instead SELFLESSNESS and EQUALITY. Benevolent in nature.

  • wow...... ur retarded

  • How did he get a picture like that on the inside? The guards are pretty zealous about the no pictures rule; including camera phones... Did he bribe them?

  • no, he didn't have to bribe them , he was just using a moment of the guards negligence, but i'm pretty sure giving them a "tip" would've also donethe thing like you said :D best wishes.

  • ameen comrade...

  • Happy Birthday Vladimir Illich

  • Lenin was an asshole and fucked half of the world with his shity communist theorie! Fuck Marx-Engels-Lenin-Stalin and whole communist whores of the world! Communism=fashism

  • fashion?

  • they need to stop covering lenins tomb during victory day parades, the leaders should go back to speaking from the mausoleum like they did during the soviet days.

  • Here here

  • oh yea kwamezuv1984? Is that why you are in the USA and not Former USSR? Loser!

  • your question doesn't make scene idiot.

  • Oh really? You praise Lenin, correct? If Lenin was such a leader to praise why did your family have to move from what ever state of the Former USSR they were from (I would guess Ukraine) to USA?

  • you guessed right, Ukraine . they left because Ukraine was a disaster after the collapse of the USSR and still is. Ukraine has gone to hell. i never said anything bad about America anyway.
