I cried!!! This is a great program and I love how a lot of schools are doing this.. It sends a great message to people everywhere.. My high school did this a month after a friend of mine died from an alcohol related accident .. It's like I had to go through the same thing twice .. Very touching .. Rest in peace Israel Anthony Raya.. We miss you
OUTSTANDING work! I am a Criminal Justice Teacher at Coral Reef High School in Miami. I am showing this to all my classes and if one of my kids is saved from tragedy by watching it, you all will be a part of it.
this was soo good! i wouldve loved to be a part of this but thats what i get for being a freshman at concord..lol...but this was soo good! and u did a great job picking jordi to this hes an amazing actor!
My school did this last week. Very emotional program, but I'm very glad that they do this. I think every person, teen or not, should think about it before they get behind the wheel, or even drink. This is very sad.
My school actually did this just last week and I had the honor of being a part of it. Though it was not as intense as this, it was still a great film..
@GuavaFilms do you know how they make all the casualties and injuries look so real if this is all just act? man the blood, the scars and the deep cuts/slashes/puncture through the skin look so realistic. i also heard the people in the act are taken away from the public for a day in a "secret place".
@rurokenshin4 - yes the people from John Muir Hospital do a phenomenal job making the injuries look realistic. Also, yes the 'living dead' are taken away after the live crash simulation to a 'student retreat' until the large assembly the next morning, where the video is featured during the mock funeral in the school's gymnasium for a standing-room-only audience.
Amazing video. So much more intense then what my school did. Granted, the program is always intense. The participants did a wonderful job. As did Guava Films.
This video made me cry... 2 months ago, I was a victim to my own distracted driving. Fortunately, alcohol was not a factor. I got distracted and was going about 20 mph over the speed limit, which was 65. I lost control and the car rolled 3 times... I walked away with a concussion and a few scrapes. Its things like this video that make me wonder... What if I had hit another car? What if I had my friends in the car? They would be paralyzed, if not dead.
I understand your point. It's really up to each school - some want the Grimm Reaper and some don't. Thanks for the props and show me your E15M 2010 video when done~
Amazing 3 part series, the only recommendation I would make is to not have the guy dressed as "Death" in it next time. It makes what is a very real life depiction of a DUI MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) a little unrealistic with him in there. I'm sure the audience can gather that people died with out him. Other than that, absolutely SUPERB job on this. You have motivated me even more to do this at my HS here in Alberta, Canada June 2010. Thank you!
