  • I think this is going to be like the wii but with a few changes

  • I don't know. I won't get it for a while after release if at all. The remote is scaring me away from it. The thing looks square, rigid, and uncomfortable. I dont want to hold this bulky thing and play a game. You said it has analog sticks but everyone else is saying that it has nubs so I don't know. After watching E3 though, it looks like I'll be able to do the same thing as the Wii U when I buy a Vita-which I'm crazy excited for.

  • They shouldn't be saying "It's Dumb" unless they've played the game. I know those jerks did not play any games on it. It's too early to tell.

  • yo mario all the critics say that the touchscreen controller fits perfectly in your hand and is comfortable what do you say about that

  • The Wii U having HD is a good step, but the controller looks way over the top. I would of liked the Wii U more if the Controller was more like PS3 or 360 controller, but have a 3-4 inch touch screen above it. It would look a more practical, and it would turn a lot more people on to the idea of a new Wii.

  • You never know how this will be till you try it out for yourself, then you can decide if it's cool or not.

  • it doesn't play GC games because, more than likely, the Virtual Console will be back and feature GC games on it

  • what's funny is, people are reacting to the Wii U the same way they reacted to the Wii back in '05-'06. "Weird, stupid, retarded' and what happened? Amazing console, amazing features, amazing games. I think the Wii U will be awesome

  • my wii has been broke for 2~3 years soo this is good :D also you can use wii controllers and the disks will be 25 MB

  • It really depends on the developers if this is going to be successful. But I have no intentions of rushing & buying this anytime soon.

  • @deloreanx right, cuz it's not coming out out for a year and a half. idiot

  • Dreamcast 2.0

  • i'm not that excited, but I think that it would be cool to try out. One of the best features is if someone turns tv off, you can just play on the controller. but I am a little disapointed. i thought they would have a better thing ready to give out. Four swords would be a pretty good download and I am so happy that it's free. Im defiantly getting ocarina of time but i can't decide between mario kart and super mario. Help? please.

  • i like it so far

  • and ninja gaiden 3 good

  • dude....you can use a wii controller ._.

  • Hearing your complaints at the end about the name, I think they would've been better off calling it the Nintendo U. Wii = We and U = You, and it's one syllable like Wii. It's perfect. Well, who knows. We might get another Nintendo Ultra 64 situation.

  • One more note about the controller: It's apparently much lighter and easier to hold than it looks. This is based on the hands-on segments I've read so far.

  • The more that time has passed, the more I've grown to accept the idea of this console. Besides, if they nabbed Ninja Gaiden 3, Tekken and Arkham City (an old game by then, but watch the Hugo Strange trailer to see why that's irrelevant visually), they must be doing something right. I'm also pleased to hear the online will be on-par with Live and PSN (minus the hacks; now we just need a "no more friend codes" announcement).

  • wii u is hardcore

  • @firerock277

    Yes indeed it is.

  • I'm super excited abou Super Smash but if there is no port or attachement for Gamecube controller, i'll just buy the 3DS version. I also think that the controler is weird, i can't imagine myself playing bf3 with this use thing.

  • I like the fact you could link the game to the controller and then play like on your bed. I actually like the feature.

  • @CrazyMan03

I will probably make another video. I like the ideas I have thought of for the pad.

I am honestly so excited for HD mario, zelda, smash. Wooot!

  • @foxmccloudds Oh of course. I got really excited when they mentioned Smash and aside from the Wii U, I need another console Zelda already.

  • so like in late 2012?

  • @DengrayKai211

Yeah, late 2012. Like the fucking thing is going to cause the end of the world. yup

  • Well what about Classic Controller Pro? Justifiable solution, I see launch games being enhanced ports.

  • wait a minute...i'm looking very carefully at pics. i'm not sure but... does the controller use a sensor bar? because i'm not seeing one, it would be cool if it didn't, only cuz the sensor bar is a pain to hookup and breaks easily. not to mention it gets tangled easily to.

  • what most people want is a console in HD and 3D ( when they make a 3D tv that is ) and has a massive amount of memory in it. and three different controllers ( Like a advanced version of a Gamecube controller and that controller with a screen but a little more holdable, the third one i don't know ) and what they showed on E3. but i think they should have at least a new name other than wii in it.

  • that sucked sooo hard, what a gimmick. just fucking make more games for you hardcore audience... if u still have any

  • @AndrosJL0

a bunch third party harcore games were announced actually

  • @jasamdomo no one icluding me takes hardcore third party games seriosly on the wii they just all suck like im sure they will suck on wiiu.

  • @AndrosJL0

    ''no one''

You don't speak for anybody but yourself, retard.

  • I think its too early for a new console from nintendo.. but im pretty sure im gonna buy it. I just hope launch day is not hell on earth like wii launch day -_-.

  • I for one am looking forward to the controller. I think it'll make games like zelda much more more immersive. Think about it, being able to draw on a map with the screen along with item management. I anticipate that the Wii U will be able to use Wii remote, which means classic controllers will be compatible making it no issue for playing games like ninja gaiden.

  • Hmm... well New Super Mario Bros Wii U is the only thing that interests me for the Wii U at the moment. I reckon Zelda and the upcoming 3DS stuff mainly saved Nintendo's conference this year. Picking up my 3DS along with OoT3D when I get money in 2 weeks time!

Also, my first thought on the name Wii U... Kung Pow: Enter the Fist :P

  • The console shown in this video is a prototype..

  • @thesimsfan12

all working hardware is apparently a prototype until it's in a box for people.

The specs will stay the same though.

  • Not a fan of the name lmao. The Wyu.

  • The WII U has a better GPU than 360 and ps3

  • @crash41596 dude you can tell this kid is fucking stupid better hard ware and CPU and GPU he has no idea of what video card specs are

  • @Darkcloud1983 I really can't tell if you are agreeing with me or disagreeing with me but you sir do not know anything about a gpu or a cpu If anything you sound like a 12 year old 360 fan fag that is mad that nintendo is finally on top.

  • Wii U, what about the name guys? Do you think it's too early to say? I do.

  • @foxmccloudds

    I think its good name.

At lest be glead they didn t called it Wii2,that would been genericc and nintendo is not generic.

Also have faith on Nintenods Wiiu control. If they can make a remote as a playebal and good on it then i know it will also work on that controler.

I will never lose faith in Nintendo,Not in 2008 and not whit this ridiculas nitpicckings.

  • i just want it for 1080p mario and smash bros....nintendo make an improved gamecube controller!we need it for smash bros!!!!

  • @Alexred94

YES! Improve on a GameCube Controller. Hell, give us a wavebird with rumble. That would be fine. :D

  • The concept looked interesting. I'm not sold on the software yet; we didn't get to see any thing except for batman which ps3/ 360 will get much sooner anyway. That prototype zelda looked pretty cool. Otherwise I was disappointed by e3 this year. With the exception of sly 4 and tomb raider nothing wowed/surprised me.

  • well, it's a prototype, but the tech specs will not change more than likely. Unless the games like darksiders 2 and what not get delayed.

The controller is odd, I admit, but it will be a cool feature. I just think a traditional controller was needed as well.

  • @foxmccloudds The controller will take getting used to... Just like the old Wiimote. Cool that there's compatibility for those, also.

  • Ugly POS It should be called "My First Game System"

  • wtf dude your somking crack

  • wait its not impresive wat system has better specs

  • wf t is hardcore gamers

  • Comment removed

  • scratch that prototype lol lol

  • wtf how was that expected and the system in the back is prototype

  • at first i thought it was some sort of new thing for wii, but when i saw the graphics and all i was like hey it looks good though, the gameplay will be pretty interesting

  • I was very disapointed when they showed the Wii U.I thought it was an add on.But they didnt even show the console! But I am very happy with what they announced tho.controller still looks weird

  • They sure left you speechless and confuse. I still say it was the best conference. Now I'm wondering if I should save up for the 3DS or Wii U?
