  • Indulge me please. I forgot a few. A cousin named Howard that was wounded in the Pacific, Prentice was on the West Virginia on 12/7/41, Harry on the USS Alabama, Sonny lost some toes in the Battle of the Buldge, Cecil a P 51 pilot in Europe.......

  • What a great tribute! What more can I say. I have had the privlige to have known several WWII veterans. Damon with; as he said; "With Archie Bunker in Italy", Jack was with the 101st, and became a POW, Claude was wounded at Normany, Uncle Eldon was wounded on Guadal Canal and my Dad. He was an ATC pilot. Flew the Pacific from the states to Austraila. Flew out some of the Bataan guys after the Phillipeans fell, was in Japan during the surrender and flew the "Hump" into China.

  • Wow... this captivated me. I am a Civil Air Patrol Cadet, and I plan to join the U.S. Marines later in life, I am only 15, but I completely live in a honorable world of respect to these men, fathers, brothers, uncles, great-grandfathers, nephews, cousin, and heroes.

God Bless what they fight for, even though this country's dark side is comming out these days. I appreciate evrything they did to preserve freedom for us selfish people.

  • A great tribute to many men that never got to come home. And thanks for a Heartfelt and sincere Statement!!
