This has got to be the best I've heard Dave's voice in a long time. Don't misunderstand. He's still amazing. His vocal on Sounds Of The Universe are as good as always. But listening to this.... the whole thing is just d@mn incredible... but listening to Dave just drifts me back to the late 80's/early 90's. Incredibly emotional! I really miss this kind of emotion from current DM.. Martin's songs are still very good but I think the producers haven't been able to grab the sound for his songs since Alan left the band.. (Ultra is an exception, although its sound is too simple for me and less layered than their previous works. A bit depressed and melancholic but very emotional and cathartic with "Insight" at the end. All in all a classic album.)

This is a song by the band Mirror, a great canadian band. I do believe the album was either limited release or digital download only, and in either case is no longer available. Check the mirror website to make sure tho :)

I went to a cool talk on Baroque Art at the LA Downtown Library. The lecturer spoke about a painting by Velasquez; "Las Meninas". You should look it up on Wikepedia [sic]

Anyway, there's this whole issue about how you see the painter standing with his canvas pointed such that you must conclude that he's painting *you* (the viewer).

Seeing a frame inside of a YouTube video and title of "MIRROR" suggests that it is you, the viewer, who feels Nostalgia.
