The detail available in this video is remarkable, especially how clearly the cilia are visible. Is this straight brightfield LED illumination, or is something further being used to better create contrast?
This was just brightfield with LED illumination and iris diaphragm stopped down appropriately. The clarity of the video is due to the HD camera and adapter. The microscope is also good quality, but nothing particularly special - standard Plan Achromat objectives. Thanks for the comment.
