Fucking Sand giants and spectres. I remember hanging out at the docks near the spectre tower and just constantly farming that one croc.

@Hammerman24 Or do you remember people pulling that one sand giant forgot his name but the famouse "whoever name giant to docks!! or to zone!! and they run passed you and u get your ass owned or other horrible ways to kill peeps at the docks via sand giants

EQ was teh shit...it was the danger level that made it fun...the danger forced people to travel and stick together, to form friendships.

If i'm ever a multi millionaire, im going to bring back the old EQ the way it was meant to be, before corporate whores fucked it. Free to play.

Maybe upgrade graphics, but only quality/ texture upgrades, everything will remain with the same look, just more detailed.

This. Is. Epic. The desert of ro... how I've traversed thee with my horse, such a long night... so many a time :)

EQ1 had this magic that no other MMO has made me feel. Maybe (most likely) it was because EQ1 was just my first MMO, and such a new experience.

I don't know, no other game has had the lore, art, sound, or music even close to EQ.

Also the community and danger made it really fun.

Ryushkin, that's true. The danger did make it amazing -- it kept the world feeling even bigger than the technological achievement it already was. It felt so real, just because you were actually afraid to die. In WoW, it's like a tiny slap on the wrist that just kills the immersion.

I wish PvP and the like was serious business in WoW lol

The danger was really a PITA too - how many other games can you actually level backwards and then make you run naked to your corpse for your stuff :-P
