*tears a page from the book* hehehe like that's ever gonna happen!
Yup I totally agree with the whole Flynn/Eugene opening.. This opening however is cliched, very feminine and looks like it came from those Barbie movies.
sorry to rub it in the creator's faces, but flynns version is much more interesting. i mean c'mon! "this is a story of how i died..." catches ur attention, then hes all hilarious lol its just great how it is one movie that doenst need improving <3 btw i lovve flynnn... but dont tell my bf ;)
"this is a story of how i died". i like that catchphrase better. this opening seemed a bit off of the story theme. i liked the movie-released one better.
This whole opening reminds me of a kid's computer game. I love the storybook opening in Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, but Tangled is a different kind of film entirely; it just doesn't set the proper tone here.
Hm, while this is fun to watch in anticipation for the DVD, I much preferred the one that wound up in the final version. Flynn's ("Eugene!") narration added the character, the personal touch that this is missing, and the Storybook bit has been way overdone, especially in recent years. I mean, even Dreamworks made major fun of it in Shrek! So, I'm very very glad you go over things with a fine-toothed comb.
I love this movie, and the animation is GORGEOUS. :D
Wow. That was one of the best alternate openings from Disney I've seen. No, make that THE best one I've seen. It still kept the classic storybook theme Walt Disney used during his life, as well as some ideas that were later used in the final version. This is one of Disney's best films...EVER!!!!

Flynn's narration is way better, its funny. Plus the lady spoke to fast and the storybook thing has been used too many times already.

honhstly, if this is used in the movie, it is better to be done in cartoon.

You guys made a good choice of changing the intro.
I was hooked by Eugene's first sentence.

I wanted a storybook opening.....but one that was better than this :/ This one is too rushed so now I have to prefer Flynn's narration.

Lovely, but I see why they made the switch. "This is the story of how I died" is a more attention-grabbing opening.

Agreed, that would not be good. And I prefer Flynn's narration much better anyway.

I'm glad they deleted this, if the movie had released with this opening, they would have been yapping about how Shrek-like the movie was xD

I definitely preferred the final/ official ending:
1. The whole "Storybook" format is getting a little old. I mean, it was one of the Disney aspects parodied in 'Enchanted.'
2. Flynn's narration is much better.

Ehh I like the final cut much better, added to the sinister plot of Mother Gothel, and made the story more interesting.
