@JaymeTakineth in that case, nothing is of value then... why should a movie going audience pay to see a historical film, about the Ancestors of a great and powerful Race if it's just going to be filthy misrepresentations and manipulations, and pay top dollar to see them? in that case.. it be best to make a movie of complete fiction such as the Chronicals of narnea, or the lord of the rings, or something completely historically safe and neutral, instead of insulting our GrecoRoman Ancestors???

This movie wasn't completely devoid of historical value.. but you can't expect them to search and search for actors that look like they're from ancient greece when they can get a big budget actor like Brad Pitt.. and they had to make the movie interesting for it's viewers so they changed some things. They could've set it in the modern world with guns and planes so it could've been much worse.

There are so many actors that could have played Aquilles, Greeks or Italians!

I love how they skip the horrid scene of Achilles being a womanizer =)
Better for the young ones!
I find this scene intriguing as to how they kill by piercing the heart through the shoulder, not to mention the jumping was a tad over the top
But then again, throughout the whole movie the fighting is exaggerated
For anybody who is interested I advise seeing the full movie, it's worth your time (note : the information in the movie is inaccurate if you are relating it to the Iliad)
