How to Use the Vintaj BIGKick Machine by Sizzix to Etch and Emboss Metal Stampings

Btw, I'm not purchasing vintaj sizzix just regular sizzix. Also, I meant to say metal sheets not metal blanks. What if I want to emboss a metal sheet that doesn't fit dimensions of the vintaj embossing plate? Would it be ok if the sheet stuck out? Also just curious why you can't embos metal in these machines using regular embossing folders? I thought I saw one video where someone did so, but perhaps using cuttlebug.

The Vintaj embossing and etching folders are specifically made to work with metal, they are different from regular Sizzix folders in their design and function. The Vintaj folders are made to only be used with Vintaj blanks and Vintaj products. Unfortunately I can not speak to if it will work with other blanks and the warranty on the machine and dies states that other metals and blanks can cause damage to the machine and void the warranty.

Thanks for the demo. I will be purchasing the Sizzix bigkicks today. I have a few questions. Can I only use the vintaj blanks w/ these or may I use regular blanks to emboss, as well? Also, what if I want to emboss a longer piece of metal such as a metal blank? Would it be ok for some of the metal to be uncovered?

I have a sizzix already, so you said i wouldn't be able to use the metal folders with my current machine? it doesnt seem that it need a lot more power to process the metal, and I have feed metal through my mchine...is there a real reason why i wouldn't be able to use these? TFS

@cocolulubub Hi. You can use your Sizzix machine with the metal blanks but you will need the special metal embossing and etching folders. My apologies for any confusion, what you can not do is use regular sizzix dies with metal blanks, you need the special embossing and etching folders put out by Vintaj.
