Same thing is going on Montana they are destroying the elk population. I stand up for what I believe in. I gut shoot them let them run off and die. Wolves need to go I've been poppin one at a time. Fuck the government and odfw. I hunt over in la grande as well I'm just waitin for them to make there way over there so I can cut em down
Think of it as three humans two of them being pregnant that are innocent and helpless with no where to run killed by murderers and that may change some peoples outlooks cuz if we don't speak for animals who are? Especially when we recieve so much from these animals!!!!!!!!!!!
Suzanne Stone and the defenders of wildlife and USFWS should be in prison for the wildlife destruction these yukon wolves have done to our wildlife. Destroyers of Wildlife is the correct name for Susie the wildlife hater.
Maybe the bastards at ODFW that own all the private land in between the BLM spaces should pay up... No reason these wolves should run from private space to public and not have the real taxpayers pay, the landowners. They are the ones who should pay for this, not the cattle ranchers
For lack of a better statement, these wolves need to be taken out now.......Suzanne Stone and the defenders of wildlife should be held accountable for this.
Thank you for showing the reality of living with the Federal Governments Wolves. Wolf introduction is a criminal enterprise, based on scientific fraud. Yukon wolf densities are so bad here in Idaho, they are going to infest Oregon in no time at all. Good luck to all of you, and may you shoot straight.
Situation: 11/08/11 two live cows with injuries were found on private forest land east of Milton-Freewater, OR. Wolves were suspected and the owners of the animals contacted ODFW and asked for a determination. ODFW examined the animals on the same day.
Evidence of wolf presence in the area? Yes. Radio collar information and tracks
observed by ODFW on 11-05-11 shows that Walla Walla pack wolves were in the location where cattle were pastured.
@allaragallagher You seem like it was no big deal. Maybe those cows were special to those people some how. You may not think that it is possible to be friends with a cow, but I am. I've had mine since she was six weeks, and now she is almost two years old and will have her first calf in march. She is my best friend and if anything like that happened to her I would cry my eyes out. Even though I don't have any wolves where I live, I do live close to wallowa county. I live in Milton-Freewater
Current legislation is under review under early 2012. No money available until then. Plus it is already on the list to be cut when Oregon will shorten funds in certain areas of ODFW that includes wolf management and compensation.
In regards to the typo... Google Defenders of Wildlife Defenders compensation program ends September. Click on the pdf newsletter. We are talking about livestock predation by wolves only. That compensation program ended with the Oregon and other states starting their own programs. Defenders didn't feel the need to continue the support livestock producers out of their own funds when the government stepped in. For Wallowa County, Oregon, it ended Sept. 1., 2011.
This would NOT be part of NATURE as you say allargallagher if these vicious Canadian wolves would have not been Transplanted here... get educated please.. Evidently cattle and farming are not part of your world...
wolves killing livestock is not nature. we deserve the right to protect ourselves and our livelyhood from these animals. this breed of wolf is not even the native breed to this area. they have no business being there. its sad to say but its going to take a wolf tracking down and killing a person or heaven forbid a child, before the wolf lovers realize how stupid they are. i am guessing the person below, allaragallagher, is a wolf lover who lives no where near wallowa county.
Maybe you don't understand The people of Idaho Montana and surrounding states are under attack from these illegal placed wolves in some small Idaho towns people can not let there kids walk to school pets are being killed in there own yards. Not just nature there was a reason they were killed off in populated areas this is not Nature it is WAR for the pll who deal with this threat every day.
"get over it" - typical wolfaboo response. Ranchers living in wolf-impacted areas are the ones truly living the reality of it all, because they are the ones who have given up everything they hold dear in order to start RAISING ANIMALS that their NEXT MEAL DEPENDS ON. They receive /one check/ per year, and you're out here blathering on about how they should "get over it", which is utterly disgusting and despicable.
I have plenty of family and friends that live in the Rockies that will tell you that the kind of mentality you are displaying here will have you suffering and starving in no time. It is a complete no-brainer that you either manage predators, or you go under. Saying "get over it" is just the icing on your BS cake. How would you like it is someone stole money from your wallet daily and other people told you to "get over it". That is the most childish response I've seen today.
I just cried...This particular pack needs to be removed...it is acclimatized to livestock, and as the pack grows, it will only get worse...THIS has already happened to Idaho's elk...we have over 1000 wolves in this state, & they continue to kill & kill & kill.....
I'll continue to kill wolves since no one else wants to do anything about it. I'm not even elk hunting anymore because of it it isn't right

Excellent presentation. Wolfes need to go. We don't need any more predators. For those who want see a wolf, I suggest Portland Zoo.

I would ask the Native Americans or rather /also Canadian Natives how they would trap and remove the wolves.
