  • @mradamcram look up uhmm... Chapter four by them, there older music is better :0 In my opinion at least it is I used to listen to oldies and My first bands I ever listen to when I got into metal was; cannibal corpse, black dahlia murder, and a7x(back inda days wen they weren't tht known) and lamb of god :D

I know this song isn't their best, they kinda weaken but upgraded instrumentally wise they got better kinda :/. Idk :b I forgot wat I was talkin bout c:

  • who would wanna take the place of the rev? he will be looked at with a sort of stench from the other members. its gonna be hard, he wont fit in

  • I'm a musician and am working on getting a good band together.. cause music is my life. my old band could have made it.. but they pawned my 5000+dollars worth of equipment and got on meth and other drugs, and that hurts. i don't judge ppl and could care less if you do drugs. so i write lyrics and scream very well now.. until i get my equipment back. if you know any bands that need a screamer i live in KY. will travel, as well as my friend owns a studio for metal bands here in KY. There's more to

  • @mradamcram look up a studio version dumbass, this is a shitty quality fan video.

  • @mradamcram lol look up the music video for a little piece of heaven and let me know if you change ur mind

  • @WildAngelify Don't you know??? The Rev is in his little piece of heaven...

  • You know before I wasn't really impressed with Arin but then I found out he played drums on Not Ready to Die and now I think Arin might have what it takes to be their new permanent drummer now I just hope he can be a good song writer too

  • im freaking crying not fair

  • Such a great new drummer, he's going to do good job of filling in Jimmy's spot. RIP Jimmy we all miss you, hope you're enjoying jamming with Dimebag, Cliff, and Ronny Dio

  • No one can takes the place of the Rev

  • ALL THE SCREAMS AND CHANTS ARE DEDICATED FOR A TRULY AMAZING AND ONE OF A KIND DRUMMER OF A7X: JIMMY "THE REV" SULLIVAN. • @MrSaxxia O rly?

  • @MrJrSlime shut the fuck up u fucking prick if you dont like the rev y the hell would u even bother looking up avenged sevenfold

  • Comment removed

  • @metallicanerd13 Dont even read his comment, he is just a troll

  • @MrJrSlime I know for a fact you are doing this just to troll and piss people off and get a laugh out of it... But I'm going to fuel it anyway. Why don't you take my fucking cock and choke on it you pathetic little piece of twerp dick. While your at it, make sure you gargle the surprise that follows MKAYYY??? Mkay! Live on Rev in the Afterlife.

  • Amazing of Mat to be able to sing this.. I would be balling my eyes out..

  • 2 people were crying so hard they hit the dislike button.

  • i love how fucking excited everyone gets just when the lights come on :)

oh you fans make me smile <3

  • whoever disliked this can suck a testicle

  • The first line in this song makes me feel like I've known The Rev my whole life. Reminds me of driving around the night with all of the city lights on, swimming in a lake with bestfriends..

  • Wtf?! you guys are stupid, The Rev aint there coz he's dead - R.I.P Jimmy :'( - the drummer on stage is called Arin IIljay, and thats their new permanent drummer.

  • I would have gave both my fuckin nuts to have been able to see this

  • @Kyn68 my friend ZurethaMetal(youtube user name) saw them live a few weeks ago. she says she waited six hours(maybe three hours) just to get in the stadium. i wouldn't do that for flogging molly or we the kings. you have to be serious fans to wait that long to get in a bands concert

  • @Starcraftgamer97 yea thats true and i sure as hell would =)

  • I always get chills when I hear this song :/

  • Wow. The deepest part of the song at the end when the rev sings for one last time and some fag's shouting "wooo! Woo! Woo! ". Way to ruin the moment.

  • @wickedend6661 i like how all lights go out except for the one on the piano, though. *try to ignore yelling* lol

  • I love it how they bring the REV on stage again

  • @daddyo1992 how did they manage that? dont tell me he did a little piece of heaven and came back to ruin a wedding and kill everyone o.O

  • @xpreXteenXviolencex look at the piano. The piano stands in the spotlight when the Rev sings.

  • @daddyo1992 Jimmy never left the stage

  • @daddyo1992 What do you mean?

  • @ShoopdaWoop265 The spots on the piano...

  • you fucks were so lucky, thank you for shearing, wanted to cry

  • you fucks were so lucky, thank you for shearing

  • where was this concert @

  • D: This fucken song never fails to make me cry ... u_u

I love this song i really do but it just makes me fucken cry! D:

    *sigh*

Love The Rev! :D I was, am and always be obsessed with The Rev <3

  • this is why I say fuck u god, you take from us the best drummer in the whole world ):

  • Love avenged sevenfold? then vote for them in mtv's march madness competition. vote have them the champions!google it and vote! give the rev something special!

  • @Zzirgrizz84 They probably only disliked it because it made them cry :'(

  • Comment removed

  • watching this makes me wanna cry :( RIP the Rev

  • demon security guard @4:40

  • @1957wasafineyear hahaa that scared the shit out of me!

  • rip the rev

  • who play the piano??

  • @aqejarnz Nobody was playing the piano. They wheeled a box on stage that had a piano in it, but nobody was playing it. It was a recording because it's the Revs song and it was a representative that nobody else could play it except him. RIP Jimmy.

  • who was plying piano?

  • Awww....he misses his brother

    rest easy jimmy

  • 4:42 the fire eyes of the bald man!

  • tears & more tears :(

  • @sutter204 Of course the rest of the band helped and wrote some lyrics for the album too but the did the most work of the band on the album. He wrote A little piece of heaven, afterlife, almost easy, bromton cocktail, and alot of other stuff to do with the other songs. Jimmy really was a huge part of that band and i don't know what they're going to do without him. Even before he died, he did the most work on the nightmare album. They said he was up for days busting his ass off

  • Okay we can all agree he's better than Portnoy...

  • @Dakota122449

What are you talking? Shit. Rev is nowhere near the drummer that Portnoy is.

  • @LeagueIsLife Two different styles. That's like comparing Dave Lombardo to Neil Peart.

  • @hockeyplaya131

Actually they're quite alike because you know who Rev's favourite drummer was...Portnoy, exactly.

  • @hockeyplaya131 Except it's not even close to being like that and both of those guys are shit...

  • @flylikeagaysex nigga you must be trollin'

  • @hockeyplaya131 I'm not trollin. I'm just pointing out the fact that Dave Grohl is hardly a drummer and Neil Peart is a robot. No soul. Plays like a drum machine.

  • @flylikeagaysex Nigga, you suck at trollin'. Nobody mentioned Grohl.

  • @hockeyplaya131 I meant Lombardo. He's kind of shitty too.

  • @LeagueIsLife Portnoy also had 20+ years of life and drumming on Jimmy. Portnoy has openly admitted that Jimmy would have been better then him if he had lived. Portnoy even got a Deathbat tattoo.

    So...

  • @flylikeagaysex

Yeah, the experience isn't what made him awesome, it's the fact he went to the Berklee College of Music. and the fact he got a deathbat tattoo don't mean sh1t. He got it to commemorate the Rev not because he was gonna be better than him, completely irrelevant.

  • @MentalSin2010 He wrote way more songs than that.. He pretty much wrote the most on the self titled album

  • @SuckDeezNutzBitch thats not true at all. he wrote a little piece of heaven and afterlife. the rest of the album was basically everybody.

  • since when they play fiction live?

  • @chinolanglang apparently since they got a new, sloppy drummer to play the Rev's parts.

  • @chinolanglang 2011

  • where'd you see them?

  • Arin didn't Play it right :( Oh well, he had everything else right. Glad he's with them, he's still a fine drummer.

  • saw them in kennewick it was soooo amazing... i had goosebumps...!!!!!!!!

  • I can never listen to this song without having tears in my eyes and chills ): R.I.P Jimmy -3

  • i was there best fuckin concert ever

  • i know

    im just sayin

all his work is and always will be a MasterPeice

  • I haven't really noticed much people commenting on the feeling that this video (or other versions of this live performance) is giving out... I personally could feel the emotion that was obviously floating on stage... And although this is most definitely not a big favourite song of mine, I got severe chills watching this...

  • does anyone know the guitar tabs thst syn plays

  • @jasonm1420 if you listen he plays the left hand piano part on the guitar

  • @screamoCORE14 do u no the guitar tabs for it

  • From our point of view, the piano's got its back to us, so when Jimmy's voice comes on we can actually realistically imagine that Jimmy is sitting behind it, playing and singing... but from the band's point of view they can clearly see that there's no one there. I find that notion rather depressing...

but there's no doubt that Jimmy's presence can be felt throughout this performance

  • wow i really can't believe hes their new drummer! i am so exited!

  • dude! hes from confide! ive seen them live, so technically ive met a7x's drummer

  • you notice how the rev made most of the A7xs hits

one of the major one is Afterlife

  • @xXmunny29Xx A little piece of heaven too, and almost easy

  • @SlimAyDee

i know, i said one of the most famous song is Afterlife

Jimmy has more up his sleeve though, and i think we can all agree with that

  • @xXmunny29Xx Are you all forgetting about the songs he wrote for Sounding the Seventh, and Waking the Fallen?

  • @hockeyplaya131

he was a7x's main song writer

  • @xXmunny29Xx He wrote Afterlife, Almost Easy, A Little Piece of Heaven, Nightmare and Fiction by himself and all the songs he did with Pinkly Smooth

  • @xXmunny29Xx ...

Yeah, people say he made most of the lyrics. I think he

    kind of did. xD

This makes me wanna cry. it felt like The Rev was there.

  • @shack6713 no he made some songs

  • @shack6713 he made some songs

  • @avengedsevenfold96 My main concern is, The Rev wrote most of all the songs and compositions.

  • @jasoli52 same but matt is good at writing too and although it wont be the same, they will do fine

  • @AlexCainMusic6661 Yes, I agree, he rewrote all of nightmare....makes me want to hear it with Jimmy's original lyrics...and it is epic. Syn and the boys will just have to pitch in more on the orchastrations. So Far Away came out good and Syn wrote that and somebody had to do the composition. I have a JimmyBat on my right hand like Matt so, I am not dropping the band any time soon......EVER!!!! ~foREVer~

  • @jasoli52 Matt didnt write all of nightmare. Off the top of my head I know Jimmy wrote Welcome to the family and Save me and Obviously Fiction but yeahh

  • @AlexCainMusic6661 Matt, in his own words in an interview said that the track Nightmare is the ONLY one he didn't touch the lyrics to because Jim loved it so much the way it was on demo.

  • @jasoli52 Well I mean songs like Victim and stuff. Jimmy obviously didnt write lyrics to that because its about his death. but i know what you're sayin

  • @AlexCainMusic6661 Actually besides nightmare, danger line and fiction all the other songs only had a few lines of lyrics so jimmy got a few lines in on other songs to before he died. Victim for instance was the first song written for the album in 09 (instrumentally)

  • do they play both fiction and a little piece of heaven or only 1 of the 2? I'm goin to their concert tonight :)

  • Y bat country? So overplayed, should have played beast and the harlot of the wicked end

  • @the8888 or all 3!

  • I am jealous! During the Uproar tour they didnt played Fiction "/. Do you remember the setlist?

  • @Mastermind92 - Nightmare - Critical Acclaim - Welcome To The Family - Danger Line - Buried Alive - So Far Away - Afterlife - God Hates Us - Bat Country - Unholy Confessions Encore: - Fiction - A Little Piece Of Heaven
  • @AlexCainMusic6661 I am really jealous "/ They didnt play bat country, fiction or a little piece of heaven but we had almost easy and beast and the harlot tho.

  • @Mastermind92 I was at upraor in Sacramento, it looked like it was just too soon, I don't blame them.

  • @jasoli52 True...they might of had to get mentally prepare to more on and during the Uproar, they were taking one step at a time.

  • Shit, loving the guitar Syn adds to Rev's part. This is how you make a tribute. Also, good job Arin. Hope to see a badass Avenged Sevenfold stagename soon. :)

  • I never! in a thousand years! thought they would ever play this song live

  • I was there!!!!!

  • i was there, right in front... cried like a bitch and threw syn a marlboro lol

  • The band probably balled there eyes out after this I would have (R.I.P. The Rev)

  • @MentalSin2010 nahh they played A little pieve of heaven after this

  • Arin was in confide before A7X I think he it gonna do good as the new drummer

  • arin is a great drummer but none could ever replace the rev

  • arin is fucking awesome !

  • i would shit my pants if i ever got to sit behind those drums

  • R.I.P. Rev. You won't be forgotten. I too, saw this live. It was truly incredible.

  • I love how they have the piano illuminated.... Jimmy's sitting there playing, duh!

    R.I.P. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan

  • arin plays quite good ! :)

  • Matt is singing, the Rev is singing, and the Crowd are singing all the lyrics, on the debut of the song live. And people claim that Avenged don't have any talent..? Right. Yeah that and Jimmy was as boring and talented as a patch of soil. This song is epic, and it might be that the Rev wrote the best song from this band as his last gift to the world.

  • There's nothing much to do except crying by listening to this song... Arin does a great job.. I'm glad they chose a great drumer as him <3

  • @fuckingxnightmare well... you could sing along like i did, just like the crowd

  • @ninjasrawesome1 Yeah.. right XD

  • The part when jimmy sings gives me chill's..

    R.I.P Rev <3 /:

BTW the drummer is amazing, welcome to the family :)

  • fuck man their brave as fuck playing this song live!

  • I cried...

  • Did anyone see the Ghost At 4:41 :o

  • Who is singing the "let it burn" part?

  • @tomthekilla

Jimmy is,its a record, just like in Critical Acclaim or afterlife.

  • @tomthekilla the rev. they dubbed his voice

  • Im seeing these guys live febuary 5th, can anybody give me details like how long each bands set was, the merchandise that was there.... and is there any autographs or do you have to pay a shit ton for some meet and greet package

  • If I saw this song being performed live, I think I would start to cry during the 'Let it burn' part...

  • Sonny Tremblay

  • yeah i had a hard time finding out which band this drummer was in before avenged sevenfold but i finaly found out it was a band called confide and i didnt realy like them but hes a good drummer and his vocals arent bad so i think hes gunna be realy good in avenged sevenfold

also i like how everyone in the crowd was singing every line of the song and the sound of the bass drum just made this song sound so relaxing

  • @MrNickp2300 I put what band Arin was from in the description as soon as this video was up -_-

  • @MrNickp2300 and i didnt look in there haha

  • Comment removed

  • Oh man this song is soo freaking hauting Jimmy was a great guy. makes you think how fragile life is. R.I.P. Jimmy

  • is there any songs being played with arin that dont suck from this concert ?

  • that show was fucking amazing.

  • Tears. In. My. Eyes. THIS is how you do it. THIS is how they honor his life. I couldn't be happier for the band, carrying on, but this is how you honor a brother. Proud to see them carrying on Jimmy's legacy with Arin. Amazing. Simply. Amazing. So proud to be a fan of this band. (also: lol boobs.)

  • Who else has goosebumps?

  • no way! they played this live? ommgg

  • Ive been waiting so long for this song live, and he played it perfectly, welcomeee :)

  • 4:41 guy with demon eyes

  • @CorruptWolf haha thats preaty scarry

  • this is just so fucking eerie.. how they did the whole piano thing..

  • @thextastexofxbert I think they dubbed it, along with jimmys voice

  • @AlexCainMusic6661 yeah they would have like with all the vocals of the rev (like when he sings in critical acclaim)

  • @Phckr3 yeah they did it with afterlife and a little piece of heaven

  • who was playing the piano

  • @exilerwe It's supposed to be jimmy. Very nice tribute to him and his song.

  • LET IT BURN ! YES LET IT BURN JIMMY!

  • going to see them tomorrow in lowell MA

  • i wish they i could off seen Fiction live i saw them at uproar in tampa this n 2010

  • He sounds like he's doing a great job!

  • Sounds like he's doing a good job and really, I think that's all a Sevenfold fan can ask for. Personally, I just want someone who can do the songs justice. I think we all know that Jimmy was unique and he brought that to the stage; no one else can be him. But it's good that someone else is being given a chance to create a little more magic with A7X and to bring comfort to the band and their fans. I don't know about you guys, but that's all I want: someone who can play and help things heal.
