It also seems like quite a design oversight to put the charging port and the HDMI port on adjacent sides of the product. If I want to dock it and have it all set up at my home theater system, I don't want the HDMI cord sticking out of the side of the dock. It makes more sense for them to both be on the backside so it can very discretely sit on my desk or with my home theater system.

The Samsung MHL adapter requires a charger be plugged in at all times for the video out to work and does NOT keep the phone charged even though the battery status says its charging. Now I have to buy this shitty dock.

The phone automatically switches to landscape mode when in HDMI mirroring mode and is locked there. So a dock that holds the phone in the portrait position really makes no sense.
