My set up for gaming : und55d8000 55'' led samsung + a set of 5.1 energy take 1 classic set of speakers (the best speakers ever!) +an rxv667 yamaha av receiver ..everything connected using media bridge high conductivity hdmis,coaxial and audio digital wires and banana plugs + the best fucking comfortable recliner couch ....when I'm gaming I feel like I died and went to heaven! \_*0*_/

i have a pioneer vsx 1019 ah k 7.1 dts master audio reciever and plan to get a jbl eon 518s pro sub and 3 pairs of wharfedale atlantic series 500 speakers and the high end center also and a jvc 200 inch projector i cant wait to eventually complete the system its gonna be fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might seem like a stupid question have never set up a sound system before but do the speakers need to hook up to anything besides power and the outputs on the receiver, do the speakers need a amp too, trying to do a basic set up on a tight budget, so far I am looking at a Pioneer receiver to go along with my Pioneer LaserDisc Player and Pioneer record player, thinking of Polk Audio or Pioneer Speakers. Does the Watt and Ohm rating matter to the receiver.

What is that a 36' lcd with 60hz and some cheap walmart speakers? I don't see how anybody can play video games on a small ass t..v. If I had it set up like this I don't think I would show it to anybody. Keep shopping at walmart, and finding those great deals, and as for me I would have a bigger LED with nothing shorter than 240hz.

@bjmagnus the 750 overheating capabilities are great, but I've heard reports that at 4GHz it struggles for long periods of times. Unless you get a pretty good liquid cooling system, you'll fry that baby. I would try it with mine, but... Meh, tell me if you short everything out though if you do :D
