Thanks so much for posting. This is a great performance of "Didn't We". The only version I've seen that was better came from Liza Minnelli from about the same time.....but YouTube keeps bouncing that video which is a shame because it is a master class of acting and singing. This is also wonderful version, but keep your eye out for the occasional Liza posting because it is spectacular. Thanks again for posting this remarkable performance.

Wow...I've seen many interviews with Barbra and she rarely if ever talks about Jason or motherhood. This is a rarity. Her reflections on raising a boy are rather revealing as well. From what I've read and watched of her over the years, she has always tried to find that difficult balance in her choice of men. Strong yet not so strong as to be emotionally unavailable.

Some history behind this interview...this was within weeks of her divorce from Elliot Gould in 1971. They had nine years together (altho they were seperated the last year and not living together). Imagine what she felt singing this. ( altho rumor is they were both cheating on each other by 11970). I adore Babs and to sing this during an interview is astonishing, such a beautiful performance!!!
