I really hate this level. I tried it five or six times and couldn't victory seemed so far away... But I'm only level six and my characters aren't so strong unfortunately.

lol i didnt know thats how easy it was because on my playthrough i always block the apc but i always fail due to the distraction of those foot soldiers reinforcement and a short amount of command points but its a good grief i watched this video now i can moved on

So very easy, I just used Sal the trooper, and a couple female shockers just to stand by him, equiped him with the short range but powerful imperial gun, and threw a damage boost on him and he smoked it in one shot. Tank lover, female lover, plus the damage boost and he can do some crazy dmg.

Thanks. You got lucky here though. The first time I tried this, enemy scout occupied my camp since you leave it unattended so I had to do it again and move one of my scouts there. Also, am I the only one who felt like playing a tower defence game during this mission?

What obscenely high level were you when you recorded this? I was level-grinding until I was beating myself in the head with the controller from boredom, and I still am only around level 8 for my scouts and shocktroopers!

Actually, you can beat this mission in one turn.

Rosie (LvL 20)

Equipment: Mags M20R

Orders: Defense Boost & Damage Boost

After issuing the orders all you need to do is move Rosie behind the Armored Personell Carrier and target its weak spot. Though, I'm not sure if those orders are available on the first play through of the game at this point. I might have to check it out under my brother's save file since he is close to this point on his first play through.

Well, when I was doing my play through after beating the game the first time I used Hannes to take the car out in one attack. All you need to do is unlock his Ultimate Damage ability and issue the order damage boost. He can drop the APCs health down to zero with a single attack.

I immediately realised that the enemy APC adheres very closely to the grid-structure of the map, and that it'll always attempt to take the most direct route.

Using this knowledge, it was easy to set up an ambush exactly like the one here within 2 turns

God-fucking-dammit. It took me four frustrating tries to pass beat this mission, and I did it by the skin of my teeth (had four Scouts who liked each other gang up and snipe the car from behind with an Anti-Armor Order on one of them). Maybe it's because I'm not a strategy buff, but this game has proven more difficult than Ninja Gaiden at times.

Dude all u need is Rosie with Demolition boost. She clears in 1 attack its much faster.

Well, that looks like a much safer way than the way I got my A rank. I just used Alicia and Alex(Shocktrooper) at the A3 block and team attacked the weak point.

The kidnapping ruse (as Varrot elaborates) was meant to act as a means for extortion. Though the two nations (Gallia and the Federation) were allied, Gallia would still retain independence. With the princess as a ransom, Gallia would be forced into being subsumed into the Federation ranks. It was really a more sneaky, less costly way to conquer Gallia (as opposed to the Empire's strategy of sheer might).

Anyone know if there is a named, weapon-dropping soldier in this fight? Didn't find one.

Man this mission was so easy, you can do it with only Rosie and taking no damage if you hide her between thoses two containers you were shooting from beside of XD If you could level past 20, it would be a great place to grind, like 40k exp for 4 mins lol
