i'm not affiliated with expertvillage, but i am a drummer. to answer your question.....practicing on a pillow is a great way to develope strength and endurance for the wrist. i do it everyday before i start practicing on an actual practice pad. it help me a lot!! like everything else start slow and gradually speed up. try it and see for yourself that it makes you work three times as hard to be able to do what you can do on a practice pad!!

yeah i try and do that for like 10 - 20 minutes a day and trust me you will get noticable results in a few weeks.
