@Mathewmartial, not sure bout your maths there fella, im paying 130p per liter petrol at the moment, that works out about 2.07 dollars per liter, an american gallon is equal to 3.7 liters, so 2.07 X 3.7= price of fuel. That comes out about 7.65 dollars per gallon does it not for UK consumer and @arkanumr surley a weak dollar is a some what posative things as it helps your export market to grow by making your products cheaper, hence why china has been keeping the value of the Renminbi very low

well for us guys in the uk, i can see petrol being at £1.50 per ltr nearing summer and diesel being around £1.70
and at the moment im paying £5 per 4.06 ltrs which for me last for about 22 miles. and thats ina 2 ltr car and before the price went up say 2 months ago, i was doing 29 miles on £5 at 4.27 ltrs
so seeing it all being up in the us at the $5 mark in 2012 quite possible since it seems the us gets over a ltr less per gallon than what the uk does. so were both paying same
