Rosie grew up in San Diego ca and went to granger jr high and Mission Bay High school. She is half mexican (mother ) and half white. I think she wrote angel baby when she was 14 yrs old. I know a few yrs back she was still doing oldies concerts now and then.

The original Originals from "Angel Baby" were an incomplete amateur band with a saxaphone player who wasn't really a saxaphone player and a drummer who skipped more beats than Rosie's heart, so by the time that Rosie recorded this song for the Brunswick label, not long after her one hit wonder, she had already gone solo as "Rosie Hamlin (formerly with The Originals)".

After "Rosie Hamlin, formerly with The Originals" had recorded this song for Brunswick Records, Highland Records (the company that had released "Angel Baby") quickly released an earlier version of "Loney Blue Nights" for which they still had the distribution rights. By the sound of it, I would guess that that was this version, so this was probably recorded WITH The Originals after all.
