i see what ur saying about the fact it contains parabens. but parabens are just preservatives....... helps keep your products in date longer and safer. you should try their paraben free skincare range though, the acai range :) 100% natural, paraben free... oh try their midnight recovery concentrate too..
UPDATE 04/23/10: Recently I have been spending a lot of time and energy learning about ingredients that are often found in beauty products. As a result, I no longer endorse this particular product due to the fact that it contains parabens such as methylparaben and butylparaben as well as other chemicals.
@kellytirman Parabens are just preservatives and many products would need them to increase shelf-life (they are usually lower in concentration and in the bottom of the list of ingredients). Some concerns may be allergic reactions, contribution to breast cancer, and disrupt body's hormones. in regards to allergic reactions "natural" ingredients that act as a preservative are more likely to cause reactions such as Vitamin E, tea tree oil, thyme essential oil, and phenoxyethanol.
@kellytirman In 1984, 2003, and 2005 the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR), an industry-sponsored organization which reviews cosmetic ingredient safety and publishes its results in open, peer-reviewed literature, investigated the safety of parabens. All three times the CIR concluded that parabens were safe as long as they did not constitute more than 25% of a product’s content.
