  • ROFLMAO i came here because some jackass said this is what should be used during a grizzly bear attack

  • @dramey03 lol, I wouldn't suggest using this on a bear. We carry bear pepper spray, bear bangers and bear bells which would be the ideal tools for use defending against a bear and getting a bear to leave you alone.

  • LOOL HE GOES HARD IN THE PAINT

  • Why does this have so many negative points? At least in this one he actually hit something. All the other videos I watched with batons was just the maker swinging it like a retard on crack at the air.

  • @TheForgottenWolf Thanks, before we made this video we had a lot of people calling asking us to explain how it extends and how it collapses. This video clearly demonstrates both of those. We threw in the hitting of shelves as an added bonus. At least hitting something is better then trying to break the wind.

  • are u serious? well i guess if a closet attacks u it might work

  • OK, I'm gonna try not to giggle and sound like a smartass, but try to make constructive suggestions. Pls consider having this baton demonstrated by an officer in full gear, showing how it's deployed and the DETAILs of how it collapses. Batons collapse by different means, and some of them are PITAs to close (hence, all your inquiries). Then, ask a certified martial artist to demonstrate some strikes and techniques with it, showing it won't collapse during jabs, etc, and cite the dimensions, too.

  • A watermelon has the same density as a human skull smash one of those to pieces to munch on and ill be satisfied.

  • With appropriate training, the expandable baton is a very effective tool for self-defense.

Personally, every person that I've hit with mine has stopped their crap and capitulated. Sometimes it was pain compliance and other times it was crippling injury. Regardless, the expandable baton gives a wide range of force options and carries or conceals much better than two feet of hickory...

  • that was a completely pointless demo, it's a high impact weapon, unless it's being swung really hard into an object the demonstration of it's effectiveness and durability isn't really being.... tested

  • @3antaralhatab We are planning on doing a demonstration of our ASP batons. Any suggestions on what would be a hard enough target to swing it against?

The main point of this demonstration was to show how the baton extends and collapses. Before we published this video we would get about 3 calls a week asking us how the baton extended and collapsed.

  • I now know how to put something on my belt and attack a wood rod, I feel safer already!

  • @CarcusMarvey that maybe the best comment I've ever read

  • That demonstration can use a little work.

  • @HardenedSteel91 We are looking at doing a demonstration of our ASP batons. What would you suggest we look at doing in that demo?

  • How sturdy is this baton? Watch as I beat the shit out of the surrounding shelves and cabinets.

  • Mad LUL

  • nice job!

  • i know this is a stupid question

but since u cant conceal it, is it legal in NYC to show it with its holster?

  • @cootiecatta Not sure, we are located in Canada so I am only familiar with Canadian laws

  • @FCSurplus can a normal civilian own?

  • @airsoftguy85rocks In Canada yes. You can't conceal it though.

  • @FCSurplus

oh really? I live in toronto and Im over 18. what stores can I buy one of these batons at? where is yours located?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 I don't know what stores in Toronto carry these batons. We are located in London, ON about 2-2-1/2 hours from Toronto. You can also order the batons on our website and have them delivered in the snow.

  • @FCSurplus

oh damn.. well how much would a 21 inch expandable baton cost? and how big is it closed? and does it have a foam handle or a full steel handle?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 We have a 21 inch baton for $34.95. It collapses to 8 3/8 inches.

  • @FCSurplus I forgot to mention, the 21 inch baton has a foam handle.

  • @FCSurplus

i also forgot to ask, how much would a sheath be? for the 21 inch baton?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 The sheath is included in the 21 inch $34.95 batons.

  • @FCSurplus

Oh really? sounds like a good deal. I really want to buy two of these for collection novelty purposes, but unfortunatly I dont have a credit card. I was wondering if I were to offer you $90 cash for two 21 inch batons with 2 sheaths, would you be willing to drive to the Greater Toronto area (specifically Richmond Hill) and meet up?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 If you go to our website and go to the 3rd step there is an option to print off the order and send the order in with a money order. We ship via Canada Post and UPS.

  • @FCSurplus

hmm, how is the grip on the handle? foam handle? rubber handle? or just all metal?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 It's a foam handle on the 21 inch baton.

  • @FCSurplus

I also forgot to ask, if you ship batons accross Canada, is there a chance that customs or something will not let the baton be shipped or something?? Is it a guarantee that I will receive whatever I have purchased?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 We are located in Canada so there won't be any problems with customs when shipping inside Canada.

  • @FCSurplus Can an average citizen purchase this from your store or only law enforcement?

  • @strapinhotpockets Anyone over 18 can purchase this from our store. We record the name and address of anyone who purchases a baton.

  • @FCSurplus

hey so in Canada, are youy legally allowed to carry this around if its in its holster sheet thing? if not do you need some kind of a permit?

  • @gunsnrosescolin2 The Canadian federal law says it's legal as long as you don't conceal it.

  • @cootiecatta these are illegal in ny

  • what a great demo

  • @holyess ^^

  • Is there a small enough one that would fit concealed inside my pants or pockets?

  • @jgq85 It is illegal to conceal this weapon,

  • @FCSurplus that depends on where you live, and the local laws concerning such weapons.

  • @jgq85 it is illegal but yes the 16 inch version is only 6 inches closed and fits nicely in the pocket or if you would like a bigger baton the 21 inch version is only 7 and a half closed

  • one thing i always wonder about baton is how well does it perform a jabbing motion. will it collapse if you try to do a stabbing motion?

  • It takes quite a bit of effort to collapse the baton once it has been fully extended. I would assume that in a stabbing motion it would be fine as long as the item your stabbing isn't a brick or cement wall.

  • Would that be able to fit hiden on your leg?

  • It could, but you would need to come up with your own holster. The holster it comes with wouldn't fit around your leg.

  • All i gotta say is that it is one bad ass self defense weapon

  • A Baton is not made to stab, it's not a sword. It's used to hit large muscle groups. The butt of the baton is used for glass etc.

  • Can also be used for leverage, hand/arm locks, and other submission methods in the unlikely event of grappling with some chucklehead or scumbag on the street.

  • A very effective demonstration.......

  • i have one of this! 26´to!

    very good product!

  • Can it bust out car windows?

  • I've never tried it with these models however I did see a police officer break the window of the cab of a tractor trailer with a similar looking baton

  • yes it can thats one of the points of the baton it can smash windows just open

  • @caddad69 oh yea
