Categorizing is not pathetic. Every band, although its intrinsic differences, can be linked to a certain or several movements. If it is not, it is revolutionary and started a new movement by itself. Mad Caddies aren't revolutionary but they fused several styles creating something of their own indeed. I like all music, but Beethoven is different from Miles Davis or Pink Floyd. Categorizing is not a question of being small-minded, but rather of understanding music history.
