EVERYONE!!! there are 4! books about the game that tells alot of the back story that happened with ezio they had all 3 of ezios storys theres also one called the secret crusades <havent found this one but sounds like altair. it has what happened inbetween the years skiped in game what ezo thought as stuff happened ect " like the first scen in revalations u see how he got to masyaf and what he experanced there was the first chapter alone." the movie's are only half as good as the books

The art style took some time to get used to, but I can forgive it since it's only about a 20-minute film. It's a sad tale, yet, a very good one. Also, there is a noticeable age difference between Sofia and Ezio in Revelations. I guess the art style of Embers makes it seem like they're even farther apart in age, which is accidental I think.

Unless they make a spin-off, and start using the Assassin's Creed title, to look into different Assassin branches throughout the world during that time period, like with Shao Jun (trailer), from the Chinese Assassin branch taking on the Templar-backed Ming Dynasty, ______ of the Russian Assassin Branch, etc. I think that would be an amazing idea, if you guys get what I mean. ;)

Bring the series back before gunpowder. Make combat more challenging, yet more rewarding. Make the whole thing more realistic, like when we played as Altair in the first game, when we felt like actual assassins. Make the main storyline based around killing individual people.

@Spinozilla98 I love AC, but combat is pretty easy in it once you get used to counters. The addition of the gun/bombs and the killstreak type mechanic made it more entertaining to watch, but also made combat in AC much easier and cheesy in some cases. You don't have to use bombs or guns to beat the game, it's easy without them, I didn't use bombs much at all in AC:R, and barely ever used the gun. I can only imagine how much of a joke combat would be actually using them.

They both kill people, often in brutal or inhumane ways, and are both clearly zealous about their beliefs to the point where they have no problem killing those who get in their way. The goal of the Assassin's is to preserve free will, and there is an implied value of chaos in free will, where as the Templars believe in order, which would mean the opposite of free will.

@MetalicaFan2007 Desmond's ancestry, has went from Ezio, being the more recent, an Italian European, Caucasian man, to Altair, 300 years before Ezio, (I think), who is of Syrian descent, hence Masyaf, which is part of the country of Syria, which is located in Southwestern Asia. It is definitely possible that one could have an ancestor of a different background. (European - Ezio, Asia/Middle Eastern - Altair)

@xSonntox If you think about the possibilities of the Animus it is actually somewhat possible, if they wanted to take the time to explain it. Ubisoft themselves have said that the Animus as a plot device is very flexible, so I don't think it's really our place to say what can and can't be canon in this game, since we didn't create the story. As long as they avoid large plotholes, they will be fine. If they don't, teh AC nerds will rage for days about it and will wish a plague upon Ubisoft.

@xSonntox Now that you mention the "AC spinoff" type idea does sound interesting, I don't know if they would go for it because it could easily cause the series to become kind of gimmicky and too commercialized, but it's pretty clear that Ezio and Altair are not the only 2 "main" Assassin figures throughout history, they are just the only ones we get a chance to follow. It would be interesting to see what this struggle looks like in Asia, or even later on in 1700-1800s America.

I'm personally fine with a female assassin, it would allow them to take a completely different approach to combat, since Females need to rely on acrobatics and reflexes as opposed to strength. The movie showed some of the acrobatic maneuvers in combat that Ezio and Altair never did in AC1/2, like kicking a guy in the face with a hidden blade.
@billkak40 Yes but you have never been allowed to play as one. If you are playing as one, they would be forced to develop female Assassins much further. I think it's pretty obvious they have put serious thought into Shao Jun's concept, since her combat style is so drastically different from what we have seen in other games.

In fact Ubisoft already stated quite early on that the third installment will feature an entirely new protagonist. It's not unlikely that we will meet a new character before Desmond truly comes into his own. Don't state your opinion like it's a fact.

I highly doubt that the next Assassin's Creed (at least the next one that concerns Desmond) will have her in it. Unless they make a spin-off, and start using the Assassin's Creed title, to look into different Assassin branches throughout the world during that time period, like with Shao Jun (trailer), from the Chinese Assassin branch taking on the Templar-backed Ming Dynasty, ______ of the Russian Assassin Branch, etc. I think that would be an amazing idea, if you guys get what I mean. ;)

Bring the series back before gunpowder. Make combat more challenging, yet more rewarding. Make the whole thing more realistic, like when we played as Altair in the first game, when we felt like actual assassins. Make the main storyline based around killing individual people.
Why?
Because that's what assassins actually do.
Enough cannon battles, enough Greek fire. Give me five throwing knives and a hidden blade and we'll see how many Templars are still standing come sunrise.

@Spinozilla98 I love AC, but combat is pretty easy in it once you get used to counters. The addition of the gun/bombs and the killstreak type mechanic made it more entertaining to watch, but also made combat in AC much easier and cheesy in some cases. You don't have to use bombs or guns to beat the game, it's easy without them, I didn't use bombs much at all in AC:R, and barely ever used the gun. I can only imagine how much of a joke combat would be actually using them.

Well, when you think about it, Ezio IS kind of a terrorist. All the Assassins are.
They brutally murder people to keep their perception of bad guys in line and keep a grip on their idea of world order, which is to say none since they don't believe in forming people into one global movement.
They are Chaos, the Templars are Order.
It's been said that the Assassins aren't actually the "good guys" (look it up on the Wiki). They're just as "bad" as the Templars.

@DeguGamingNetwork I think if you are looking at their actions, then yes, the Assassin's are just as bad as the Templars. They both kill people, often in brutal or inhumane ways, and are both clearly zealous about their beliefs to the point where they have no problem killing those who get in their way. The goal of the Assassin's is to preserve free will, and there is an implied value of chaos in free will, where as the Templars believe in order, which would mean the opposite of free will.

My understanding of the definition of terrorist is one who creates terror from political, social, or religious motives. They further those goals through systematic attacks that often target the civilian population, which allows them to negotiate or, if all hell breaks loose, maintain human shields.
Because they are almost always outmanned and outgunned, terrorists must do whatever they can to give themselves an advantage, which doesn't mean they have to blow up things to do so.

I highly doubt that the Asian chick will be main character as the story at hand is still with Desmond and he has no oriental ancestors. @MetalicaFan2007 Desmond's ancestry, has went from Ezio, being the more recent, an Italian European, Caucasian man, to Altair, 300 years before Ezio, (I think), who is of Syrian descent, hence Masyaf, which is part of the country of Syria, which is located in Southwestern Asia. It is definitely possible that one could have an ancestor of a different background. (European - Ezio, Asia/Middle Eastern - Altair)

@xSonntox If you think about the possibilities of the Animus it is actually somewhat possible, if they wanted to take the time to explain it. Ubisoft themselves have said that the Animus as a plot device is very flexible, so I don't think it's really our place to say what can and can't be canon in this game, since we didn't create the story. As long as they avoid large plotholes, they will be fine. If they don't, teh AC nerds will rage for days about it and will wish a plague upon Ubisoft.

@xSonntox Now that you mention the "AC spinoff" type idea does sound interesting, I don't know if they would go for it because it could easily cause the series to become kind of gimmicky and too commercialized, but it's pretty clear that Ezio and Altair are not the only 2 "main" Assassin figures throughout history, they are just the only ones we get a chance to follow. It would be interesting to see what this struggle looks like in Asia, or even later on in 1700-1800s America.

I'm personally fine with a female assassin, it would allow them to take a completely different approach to combat, since Females need to rely on acrobatics and reflexes as opposed to strength. The movie showed some of the acrobatic maneuvers in combat that Ezio and Altair never did in AC1/2, like kicking a guy in the face with a hidden blade.

@billkak40 Yes but you have never been allowed to play as one. If you are playing as one, they would be forced to develop female Assassins much further. I think it's pretty obvious they have put serious thought into Shao Jun's concept, since her combat style is so drastically different from what we have seen in other games.

@omar999999999999999 Well, actually you don't know that. Assassin's Creed 3 will likely have a lot more to do with Desmond, but that doesn't mean the entire game will be based around him. In fact Ubisoft already stated quite early on that the third installment will feature an entirely new protagonist. It's not unlikely that we will meet a new character before Desmond truly comes into his own. Don't state your opinion like it's a fact.
