  • good job man!

  • are you trying to create your own 3D engine to compete with todays best?

  • Im pretty sure an asswipe like you has the baddest PC on the market, yet you suck at every game you have installe don your PC.

Some people don't mind creating stuff from scratch while idiots like you wait for the next best thing.

  • No, he's creating it so he can learn more about computer games.

There's no point competing with "today's best"... Too much effort.

  • Yep, Cyborgtroy nailed it. Regardless this engine is on hold right now. For probably a long time, I have to many other things to do. Programming was a side thing.

My main this is 3D Modeling. Maybe one day Ill revisit this engine and finish it, but for now it will stay on hold. I never did get my last tech demo on line, it has shaders and looks pretty nice now but the level editor and VBOs were just giving me to much trouble for now.

    Discontinued, for now.

  • Too bad, it was coming along nicely. I'm in the process of making my own scene rendering engine. For me I am planning to make a specific game so it helps me figure out what kind of tools I'll make.

  • why would you compete with the "todays best"?

  • Nice 3D engine.

  • Are the Functions Of the Game like The battle and Trade System Built into the engine or is their like a built in text program that supports C++ That You Use To Code it in the Game?

  • Hey Matt,

I dont understand how Engines are made with OpenGL And C++.

What does C++ do to build the program? Does it build the application window?

Does OpenGl Generate The 3d Models? Does C++ program the Collision Detection?

I dont understand how it is done.

  • Well this is how it goes: we all know what OpenGL and DirectX are right? They are called API's. These API's have tools in them to help program. You could use any of several languages, not just C++. C++ doesnt do collision detection for you,you provide mathematical rules for what happens when to things are touching basd on velovity, direction etc C++ is a programming language, OpenGL isn't As for generating 3D models, openGL does this using very complicated maths, and uses info from the programer

  • Also i make my models in 3dsmax or a 3D package and then import them into my engine with a model loader that I have programed. And thank you googolplex101 for explaining those things to DavindXD.

  • did u make the map in 3dsmax? like the texture and everything?

  • Hello,

This is all frustum, right? And not a perspective. Could you please direct me to some nice coordinates tutorial and how to convert them?

  • kl but i got a better game engine in graphics wise and its very easy to make

  • were do i get this game engine i am a desperate indepent game developer and i have 3 months to finish my game but i need a game engine :'(

  • i think you should use the Sylphis3D engine

    devnet(dot)sylphis3d(dot)com

  • will it be easy to use?

  • well, i don't really know because i don't know nothing about game making :)

  • (i'm kaszas2000 only in my bro's profile... :/ )

  • Make one!

  • "C Delphi C# Xbox 360 PS3 Wii DirectX OpenGL." It is impossible! :D

  • thats the tags, to get attention, this engine is programmed in OpenGL & C/C++.

  • Very nice looking, what kind of framerates are we looking at here?

  • Umm, on my good pc i get 200+. Crappy pc i get about 40fps. Still being optimized thou.
