I am very willing to answer any question you have since I am in the health care field and we are developing a rehab intervention on MS. shoot me an email if you have any question wuha@wusm.wustl.edu

Thanks for being you. I'd say at first glance the only thing we have in common is MS. After listening I'd say we have more! Spirit, fortitude, willingness to try new things (i'm all about healing with foods) and just wanting to share so other people with MS know they are not alone. Was having a bad "MS" attitude week thanks for appearing in my life. Cheers and health!
sup girl, hey i got MS to and u know we gotta keep our heads toward God. You know thangs lookin up doe cuz dey got dis new treatment for MS called the Liberation treatment and they been curing people with MS. you should look into it. We gotta make sho we keep prayin doe!
what's up girl...thanks for the comment! You are absolutely right about keeping our heads up towards God. God bless you as well! I am definitely going to look into the treatment you mentioned. Thanks again!
Diet plays a huge role in the well-being of ppl who have MS. I have MS and I've noticed that certain foods make my symptoms better or worse. Stay away from processed foods (i.e. foods that have preservatives in them and other stuff you can't pronounce; growth hormones). That's why it's best to eat organic food or just go back to the original way humans used to eat, which is more water, fruits and vegetables, and less fat. Remember this: death starts in the colon. So watch what you eat. Peace...
SKIP the nutritionists because in the long run they wont make much of a difference. I have Crohns so I should know !
MS is very serious and all these autoimmune diseases are tough and progressive, and to make matters worse when men get them they tend to get more severe cases than women. Hey Director, you needs Real Modern Medicine. Search on YouTube for Tysabri and you will see for yourself the difference it makes.
GL Director and to You too. Both have very serious battles to fight.
thanks for the comment. I have to admit though, I see a holistic doctor and it really is helping...I am fortunate enough to be able to still seek holistic treatment to try to get rid of this... and honestly, she helps people with all types of illnesses. See with the right aids, the body can continue to do what it was designed to do, Heal Itself...send me another comment or shoot me an email if you want to talk..
"and honestly, she helps people with all types of illnesses"
Look, I would be doing you no favors at all by just agreeing with you. Unfortunately for me I have been to "holistic" professionals and after years I would go to the next one and by then I realised that there was only a 2% chance they could help me, but I still tried anyway, it was so f___g useless and I was so f_____g desperate.
After all this, I dont believe in holistic medicine, PERIOD. You dont have much $ so, save it.
The holistics tell you they help all sorts of people, but they in EVERY culture of the World, and sure they help "all sorts of people" - to just FEEL good.
Look, I am not trying to sell you anything - you can get a DMD (the best is Tysabri but tthere are others) for FREE seeing as you dont have life insurance and as I think you are a student.
There is YouTube MSer, ID " vbeachy " he recently qualified to get Tysabri free. OK, looked it up, video # v=WFK8_eLZm4k
Search for a CNN article today - google this: "Promise of holistic healing draws cancer patients to Mexico clinics "
It is not an MS story, but you can what is helping people - real medicine - and you can see what is not helping but nevertheless people want to believe and are being exploited. Like I was.
I have been looking at a variety of MS testimonials and am most touched by your perspective and candor. I hope that you find a MS support group in your area, they'd be lucky to have you with them.
I was just diagnosed and hope that I can cope and explain it as well as you do here.
I wish I could help you directly. I have put together a walking team for this year's MS Walk here in DC. I hope that the money we raise will help others like us.
Thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear that you have been recently diagnosed, but we will make it through this together. I have to find out when the MS walk is in NY. I do plan on going. You'll have to let me know how it goes in DC! k.i.t.
well she is in a nursing home because she is in the last stages where she cant walk. But now I am in the process of looking for treatments for her since im old enough and I understand it more.
what types of treatment is she on and how old is she? From what I have heard I thought relapse/remitting was a beginning stage. I've heard there are some treatments out there that really improve the quality of people's lives with this disease.
Well I was 3 when it began and Im 19 now and she is 43 and I really dont know because she is in a nursng home and her doctor comes through every month and check for improvements. But she is Bed Bound, Not able to walk, and has a feeding tube because her throat is paralyzed.
my goodness, my heart goes out to you...and I will definitely keep her and you in my prayers. I know this must be very difficult for you. So you've been looking up treatments? I know there's a couple of self injections that may be helpful but I'm no doctor. There's one called rebif, and another one which is newer called Avonex, I think there is another one too but if you want to look up those maybe that can be start.
