I agree with having a sense of humor, it's vital. For example: being in the military you tend to develop a self-loathing, "I hate my life" kind of dark humor that goes on between you and your buddies. The repartee between two privates is almost always priceless. But it's universial to all hard/stressful jobs. Railroading is no different. Keep up the enthusiasm!
