Comes from an old negro spiritual based on basic Christian hope. I played this tonight with clips for my youth program of people in pain, but ended it with clips of people in joy, placing Christian quotes throughout. I asked my students to meditate on their hope in restoration that is to come and pray for this hope to grow in their lives. They were pretty reflective afterward. Moby is awesome.

A well stated comment afterwardswhat. As long as we continue to seek vengeance in a violent way, an eye for an eye, forgiveness is far. Each act of violence creates more hatred and rage. To hate violence, to fully understand the desolation it leaves in it's wake should have us refuse to further violence no matter the harm done to us. In this way, perhaps healing can begin.
