  • brilliant video

  • Thumbs up you are studying this in Duisburg!

  • crnano.org/overview.htm

  • wow. 3 years on, now we have motor only 1atom wide. truly remarkable.

  • @Jezus slave. Are you in the habit of saying 666 in multiple posts in the hope that more stupid people like yourself will help slow progress. The lack of IQ you exhibit is dumbfounding. I think there should b a separation of church and reality. Oh wait there already is one in every chapter.

  • A new stage of putting sign of the beast -666 on human˛s hand or forehead !!!

  • @catfacefrog ya exactly, when they find a cure for cancer it will probably be some kind of nano bot or synthetic micro life form

  • with nano motors like this the govenrment will have total control over the nano mads through microwave technology or even lazer tech -mind control is nearly here nano science is fascinating but what if it got out of control !

  • ted.com/talks/paul_root_wolpe_it_s_time_to_question_bio_engineering.html

    Watch from 11:00.

It is already possible to remote control living things.

  • It would be a way of transfering light energy into mechanical energy at the nano level.

  • Nothing new relay . Colorful simulations, simulations, simulations and simulations to secure funding for the next 5 years. Waste of energy!

  • @SGRAND32

Right, okay. Learn more about it before making ignorant conclusions based off of a single 14-second video.

  • How much power could this thing theoretically generate?

  • think what impact nano technology will have on computers, my new desk top weighs

2 milligram except for all the plugholes

  • people are talking about paradises caused by nanotech, but we already live in a kind of a paradise! we have computers and internet which shows us what's happening in the world really fast, and we've good medicines, and enough food! in the very past the people hadn't all of these things, and nanobots will make a few things easier, but that will be normal for our children and nothing amazing, and they sure won't think that they're living in a heaven or something!

  • nonatech is going to change the world for sure

  • how does it work?

  • cryonics repair technology?

  • What the hell are you talking about?

  • Since this is only a digital simulation of what the motor looks like, how can you be sure that the particles actually behave that way?

  • i wonder what they would use it for... maybe for turning switches in nanochips

  • Transistors do the switching

  • I'm very excited about it, cause I will very soon start my doctorate on carbon nanotubes.

  • Go for it it's the future. Our children will live in what we consider today as paradise or heaven

  • Yes it is so exciting in itself, although that is what they told us 30 years ago in school, the advances in the 80's would end world hunger and create peace, pay off for US a hundred fold; blah blah. Science is not in a vacuum without the profit factor being uppermost in gov. subsidies and money-making corps involved-we saw that the concern is NOT for the average persons needs-greed and power will rule the day-just a reality check -only when the people really make the decisions will we gain

  • woot 19,000 viewer nice model

  • god i hope they don't self replicate.

  • an excellent point

  • Just a question, "ps" next to the time, refers to pico-seconds right?

  • Nanotech it's amazing. It's one of the new technologies I prefer and mostly fascinates me. Basically an entire new world to build. I've also seen somewhere examples of nano-pumping sistem, nano-gears, nano-switches. they are impressive!!! In the near future our kids will study professions like "nano-engineer" "nano-architect" "nano-assembler" this is so cool!

  • hahahahaha

  • @paulbugmenot That is of course unless the nano-bots have consumed all living material on earth by then.

  • Its a physical motor, very simple compared to normal sized motors such as car motors and blender motors, but the astonishment comes from the fact that this motor is only a few atoms wide. Imagine how many motors like that you could fit into a chip of somekind... The whole idea is to improve on our nanotechnology... a nano-motor! ^^

  • @Alucard255 Don't viruses and bacteria and such have nano motors in them? Can't we just reverse engineer natures nano tech?

  • @Alucard255 all that i saw was an animation...
