Peyton Manning is not even that fucking good... Just fucking ridiculous these dumbasses thinking they know everything about Football. Let me tell you Peyton Manning is a Top 15 QB at best. People need to start improving their Football knowledge...
@Tru3Innovator77 I think Tom has a little edge just because he has 3 rings, but if Tom never wins another ring or mvp and Peyton can get one more ring he can go down as better than Tom.
peyton manning is the best quaterback every then it tim tebow but peyton the best by far he will also malways be the best football player and anyone who thinks differnt dont anything about football
@SgtBlargThe6th Petyon could begreat if he learns to trust his players a little bit more, he's more of a solo type of guy, Brady trusts his team and that helped him get three rings.
@dopplesoldners but really what is a dopple soldner at least people know what I'm talking about and at least I can spell, and anyway Petyon Manning is overrated not many people want to admit that a 9-10 post season record led his team to a superbowl with 3 TDs and 7 INTS has been around more pro bowlers than any QB ever to play and only has 1 Superbowl justy wow put Kevin Kolb in that system and you have still a solid 9 win team at least Kolb is probally better in the playoffs than Manning.
@Donkeykong21425 I don't disagree Peyton Manning is overrated. I hate Peyton Manning. That was not why you had the intellect of your namesake. My comment was in regards to you saying that Peyton would be good if he "trusted his teammates" more. That simply isn't the case. Nothing would make Peyton good.
Dopplesoldners is an English spelling of a german word. I'm sorry if it's a tad more creative than naming yourself after a primate from a video game.
@dopplesoldners I love people who think that they are intellectual also you know fuck all about NFL! anyone to to try and question the ability of peyton manning is a fool
i think peyton will play for at least 5 more years, till there he can win 3 more superbowls so maybe he can become the best ever, but we never know. and no i don't have a myspace but check this out: you are only the third manning fan that i know and respect LOL.
@gmatsue84 yeah good luck with that manning alyways chokes in the playoffs and when he loses he blames it on his offensive line, why can't he just admit defeat and be a man, he didn't even deserve this award chris johnson did when you rush for 2,006 rushing yards in a season you are beast it's ridiculous, but people think it's a tradtion for a QB to have it Petyon is nothing without reggie wayne and dallas clark
Dude, i don't like that either ok? When manning lose it's O-Line fault, it's because of a missed FG, because of reggie wayne, but you are right, he's notthing without him, now what's your point?
@gmatsue84 well to be honest I'm a pats fan and I just hate it when people say Petyon is better than Brady, sure Petyon has better stats but that's just because he throws the ball more. Also when you look at Brady's wepons they don't look that good Wes welker is 5 foot 9 Deion Branch is 5 foot 10 Brandon Tate drops passes and Julian edelman is a quarterback who plays reciver see what I mean.
I'm a patriots fan and brady IS better than manning, i think you got it wrong! mudcurb asked how many years peyton has left and i said he has 5, and i'm not telling any lie cuz he can win 3 more superbowls (I DOUBT IT!), so don't worry, i agree with everything you said.
While peyton had clark, gonzales, wayne, harrison, addai, garcon, and i don't know who else brady had branch, givens, patton, welker, edelman, tate, woodhead, troy brown and the only HOF was moss =D
@Donkeykong21425 hes a QB hes supposed to throw the fucking ball, pointing out that he throws the ball more is the dumbest thing ive ever heard in my life
@Donkeykong21425 and i guess Manning is the first to choke in the playoffs? and he has every right to blame his offensive line, theyre supposed to make sure no one gets through, are you fucking retarded? in fact pretty much every QB, including your loose nut Brady blames their offensive line when they get sacked
@WesBWMS the thing is Petyon's Offensive line is so good I was just watching the game on sunday and they gave manning enough room to rush for about 30 yards are you kidding me talk about great offensive line and then when Petyon throws a pick he's like oh fuck you Jeff saurday, even though he wasn't invloved in the interception petyon just doesn't want to admit he's not perfect so he blames others to make himself feel better.
i think peyton will play for at least 5 more years, till there he can win 3 more superbowls so maybe he can become the best ever, but we never know. and no i don't have a myspace but check this out: you are only the third manning fan that i respect lol
another thing is jim caldwell was fired from a football team before im telling you we need a difforent coach look at us this season 6-5 wtf then ppl say caldwell led us to the superbowl last year no he didnt the team did it he just sat back and watched then once we got to the superbowl caldwell calls a RUNNING PLAY then look what happens he calls one play and fucks everything up and peytons interception didnt help.
yeah i can agree with that, i just hate when people say "ha manning has 4 MVPs, he's definetively the best ever" and how can you have 4 MVPs and only win a superbowl, how can people consider you the best ever if you only got one ring and threw a PICK 6 in a SUPERBOWL, best every doesn't do that. and honestly he's not thaaat winner.... tracy porter can tell you that
@gmatsue84 yeah he isint the best ever hes in the top 5 i whould say but he is a great qb and every qb has something about them peyton is smart on the field and hes holds that team on his shoulders
same for brady, montana, elway, vick, rivers, and so many others. but manning's problem is in clutch situation. HE SIMPLY CAN'T make good decisions under pressure, 4 picks in 01 championship, pick 6 in SB44, 3 interceptions vs pats 2 weeks ago including the last where he had to kneel it to get it to the overtime. that's why he is top 6 to me
@gmatsue84 yea but he can pick a play under preasure look how manys times hes succeded last year colts vs pats 17 seconds on the 4Q and he won the game in 17 seconds thats not a bad decision under preasure. but the prob is that he uses to many short field plays he needs to stop passing to the same wr's all the time what happend to those long deep pass plays then that coach jim caldwell is a bum he needs to be fired i dont care the only reason colts did good last year is because dungys playbook
but thats manning's problem, in regular season he is a beast, but when he really needs a win he can't pull it off, and that's why he can't be the best ever..
@gmatsue84 yeah agree.but what he needs to do when this season is over they need to get new plays and manning needs to practice with every wide reciever and b able to even make a good pass even when hes under preasure he needs to stop throwing the ball to the closest wr and throw it to the one thats open. if you look closely the whole year peyton has thrown passes to the closest wr's he got to remember theres LINEBACKERS THE AND EVERYTHING.WE NEED TO PLAY OUR OLD PLAYS.
@gmatsue84 what the colts also need to do is practice with the offensive line they need to get better they dont have that long in the nfl there mostley veterans so we need to get jeff saturday and the rest of the boys to make shure peyton dont get presured and our deffense needs to step it up bob sanders needs to quit getting hert hes bin getting hert for the last 3 years he used to be awsome wtf happend.anyways if we can do all this we can get to the superbowl again fire jim caldwell to.
wait let's get back to what i said. Peyton had an amazing team in 03, 04 and 05. in 03 he threw 4 picks in the national championship, in 04 he set the TD record in a single season and lost before the superbowl. what i'm trying to say is that he is not bad when he is under "pass rush" pressure, but when he is in emotional pressure. caldwell sucks everybody knows and you may need to change a bit your playbook, but manning needs be a great QB when he really needs = playoffs
@gmatsue84 agreed but caldwell needs to be fired i cant belive coach dungy gave his position up to him he should have stayed one more year and find someone else now we got a bum coach that cost us the superbowl.but if you look at it it wasent mannings fault he threw a interception reggie wayne ran the rong route.now what we gonna do everybody is saying manning dont have long ppl say 5 year some say 3 years what do you think he never gets hert..add me as friend bro
""Two receivers to the left Garcon to the right,, Manning in the shotgun puts Collie in motion, looks in his dirECTION, IT'S PICKED OFF IT'S PICKED OFF, IT'S TRACEY PORTER AGAIN, HE'S RUNNING FREE HE'S GONNA GO ALL THE WAY, HAND OUT STRETCHED, IT IS A SAINTS TOUCHDOWN! SEVENTY YARDS ON THE RETURN! SEVENTY YARDS ON THE RETURN BY PORTER! HE DID IT TO FAVRE AND NOW HE'S DONE IT TO NUMB-NUTS!!""
Take this into consideration...Matt Cassel hadn't started a game since Highschool then comes in and replaces Brady and takes the PATs to an 11-5 season. Is it bc Matt Cassel is great? No it's bc he fit into the system. Drew Brees is a great QB but lets face it every other pass is a well devised screen pass straight from the offensive coordiator, plus much of the credit for their success has to go the Defense. The Vikes were a winning team without Favre sorry.
@KurtisxLogan Every QB in the NFL is a "System QB." Nobody is out there playing "jungle ball". They all have a pre-planned scheme, a specific approach, and a strategy implemented with plays from a "playbook" (A System).
If you want to claim certain successful QB's are a product of the "System," you need to look no further than Peyton Manning. He has played in the same offense for 12 years. Favre and Brady have had to learn new offensive systems with different O.C.'s, Manning hasn't.
@Pick6PeytonSB44 Manning is the "system" idiot. He runs the offense entirely..I would love to see another QB try to do that. Tom Brady got hurt for a season and his team went 11-5 and Cassel posted the same kind of numbers that Brady posted. Farve has been doing a lot of moving around but, NO TEAM under any cirumstance would allow Brett Favre to call his own plays. The Patriots will be good wihthout Brady and the Vikings will be good without Favre..The Colts 3-13 at best. Get a clue bud
@KurtisxLogan Now i know you're talking out of your ass. Cassel had 22 TD's and 11 Ints with 3600 yards with a team that Brady had 50 TDs 8 Ints and 4800 yds.
Brady went 18-1 and got to the SB.
Cassel didn't make the playoffs.
Now you tell me, do you still think Cassel posted the same kind of numbers Brady posted?
@Pick6PeytonSB44 Cassel lead the Pats to an 11-5 record. Brady comes back and leads them to a 10-6 record and gets blown out in the playoffs, at home. Please, The Patriots could do well with many different QBs, even a crappy Matt Cassel. But you take Peyton away from the Colts, and they're done.
@wirymo123 Cassel took the Pats to 11-5 and missed the playoffs with the same team that Brady took to the Superbowl. He was 16-0 in the reg season and 18-1 overall. What that means is that if Brady takes a team to 12-4 and makes the playoffs, Cassel can take that same team to 7-9 record, and that's not good enough for the playoffs. The 09' team when they went 10-6 was a different team with a brand new and very young defense which they still have. It's rebuilding time for the Pats.
@wirymo123 Don't blind yourself. A 5 game difference is Huge in the NFL. 16-0 vs 11-5 and no playoffs is a huge difference.
Take Peyton away from the Colts and they're done, I agree, unless of course they get a good QB to back up Manning for 3 years while he learns the offense like Cassel did with Brady. I'm sure Manning can mentor a good QB as good as Brady did. The Colts went 6-10 WITH Manning in 01'. That's what Manning does with a bad team. He needs good players around him too.
@wirymo123 Anyway, good luck this year. Maybe Manning will redeem himself in this year's Superbowl. Manning is on pace for another MVP so enjoy the season. We'll see where Brady and Manning end up when it's all said and done. Until then, maybe the Colts face the Pats in the playoffs this year and we all get another freaking great game. If not, we still have the reg season game in week 11, I think.
So I guess Peyton in 2001 is the same Peyton in 2010 if you put this Peyton Manning on the 01 Colts I can assure you it would be an entirely different season. Manning is the offense and basically the offensive coordinator no other QB have ran their offense like this. If you took Peyton Manning off the Colts today they would win maybe 2 games. He's in an entirely different league than anyone else in the NFL now, and in the past.
@purdue2009 If you took Peyton off the colts today, their failure of success would depend on who takes over at QB. If it's Curtis Painter, they fail. If they a good QB took over, they would be fine.
The Colts are not a bad team, they have plenty of good players.
No other QB has ever ran the entire offense like Manning, i agree. But i also think that may be the reason for the 9-9 playoff record. Manning is in over his head with all that he does. He makes alot of foolish decisions.
@purdue2009 Look at the last 5:35 of SB44. He abandones the run game which was working all day. He goes pass happy and puts it all on his shoulders. He tried to do too much and what happened? Boom, Pick-6, game over.
If he had a real O.C. he would've reigned him in and said, "mix in some runs, keep them off balance, kill some clock."
Manning was on pace to score and leave 2 mins on the clock for his tired D to try and stop Brees from driving for a FG and the win. Why?? it's foolish!!
@purdue2009 Being the O.C. is a great way to enhance your legacy, put up Huge stats, get MVP's, and win in the reg season.
But it's not the way to get Rings. Look at his only Ring. Manning had 3 TD's, 7 Int's in 4 playoff games that year. That's the Worse Ever for an SB winner. Outside of the Pats comeback, his team absolutely carried him like no team has ever carried a QB. What's that tell you? Hs team is good enough, he doesn't have to do it all, but he wants to be the only heroe.
@Pick6PeytonSB44 Trying to do too much leads to what happened in SB 44.
I think he's one of the Greatest Ever. Who knows if he'll ever be The Greatest.
But if he wants Rings. He's gonna have to get out of his own way to get them. He needs a Coach or O.C. that is not a cardboard cut out like he has now to reign him in when he plays with too much rope and hangs himself like in SB44.
That Pick-6 Was an Absolute Debacle. It was Horrible. He abandoned the run game and game over.
@KurtisxLogan I don't mind Manning getting the MVP every year. He's a stats monster and he's the Greatest Regular Season QB ever, and that's a huge accomplishment! But you're kidding yourself if you think Brees, Favre, Brady, or Rodgers and Rivers don't change the calls at the line based on the coverage they see. All good QB's have that flexibility.
MVP stands for most valuable player idiots...not who's posted the best stats. It's who is more important to their team. Could the Colts go .500 without Manning? Fuck No. I'm sick of all you ass hurt bitches who can't grasp that no other QB does what Manning does. Brees, Brady, Rivers and yes even Favre are system QB's. They do almost exactly what they're told from their coach's. Of course they can audible but stil it's the coaches call. Manning is a coach he calls all the shots on Offense.
This is funny you're talking about how good you're doing to yourself..... typical Colts behavior. Why would I throw in the Towel you're the one whos full of shit.
For those who don't think Manning should have won the award: The Colts rushing attack was ranked dead last in the league in 2009, Manning lost one of his starting recievers (Gonzalez) to a knee injury for the season in week one, had to break in a rookie wideout (Collie) and a second year player (Garcon) to fill the void. Most importantly the Colts were undefeated until Manning was rested. Out of the other contenders Brees had the 5th ranked rushing attack and Farve had the 13th.
They didn't have a rushing attack because they didn't need one, they built the team around the Passing game just like the Patriots did, they only ran when they needed to. Nevermind the fact they had one of the Top 3 defenses in the league.
Also they had the EASIEST schedule in the NFL, no one can doubt that, they had a cakewalk. Thats probably why when they played a real team ( SAINTS) they got the Shit kicked out of them.
@Faelsun lol top 3 defense? They were 18th ranked for ypg and 8th for pts allowed. Hardly top 3. Colts had the 11th toughest schedule in the league. As for the superbowl interception, watch the replay closely: the play is clearly an option route by the reciever (which means he reads the defense and reacts). Reggie chose to cut inside rather than out, Peyton read Reggie, made the throw and the Porter made a great play and jumped the route.
@Faelsun go to: stampedeblue (dot) com/2010/2/23/1322513/2010/2/23/1322513/inside-the-numbers-2009-season Assuming you're smart enough to be able to understand it, the Colts had the 11th toughest schedule.
Why would i got to a Colts Fansite to get the Facts about the Colts lol?
Are you fucking stupid?
I just use the NFL sponsored Strength of Schedule report hosted by ESPN thay says that the Colts only played 5 teams all year with a win rating Above .500.
I'm smart enough to get the facts from a reliable source asshole.
@Faelsun lol you're such a simpleton. The ESPN strength of schedule only looks at win loss records of opponents - nothing else. The strength of schedule by Stampede Blue takes into account all aspects of football. And yes it is from a Colts source but it is simply stating facts and figures which cannot be influenced by opinion (i.e. can't be biased). And btw the ESPN strength of schedule for 2009, ranked the Colts 13th toughest!!! Get your facts right!
Stampede Blue is a Colts Fansite and will more than likely figure out a way to say the Colts had a tough Schedule. But FACT is the Colts played FIVE teams that were over 500.. and just barely AT or over 500 ALL SEASON.
FIVE TEAMS ALL SEASON.
Your bullshit Colts fansite cant deny or bullshit out of that simple fact.
Your defense was ranked higher than the Saints verifiable FACT.
Your pass Defense was ranked higher as well.
For Two main reasons, you had good D and a cakewalk Schedule.
I dont waste my time with BS colts fansites, their about as truthful and reliable as Colts fans... which isn't saying much. I'm not even a Saints fan, but you Colts guys just beat all logic.
I look at the evidence I see the stats and teams very clearly, Colts 5 games all season against a .500 team, .... what else do you need to say.... nothing.
Not really it's just Colts fans like you, I call them Dicks, think they know alot, but they really don't, full of shit really. Dallas fans talk alot of shit too, but ultimately they admit the truth..... I cant say the same for Colts fans.
@Faelsun lol small mind, putting all Colts fans together in a basket. Every fan base has fans that talk shit. It's like saying all Americans are fat, typical simpleton comment.
No Colts fans don't talk shit that requires a sense of humor. Colts fan cry and bitch like the Justin Bieber fan club, or some fucked up Hannah Montana concert full of rabid idiot children who cant be reasoned with or spoken to rationally.
Its almost like the Colts fanbase believe they are special and better than everyone for no real reason. Maybe listening to the ESPN broadcasters too much has gone to your head, too much Manning Fiction.
Lol how so, is this Colt logic? Pointing out the fact that you had an easy schedule, too many interceptions all season long, a Defense that constantly has to bail out Manning, I'm not losing control all I have to do is cross reference the schedule you're the one who gets all his "facts" from a Colts Fanboy site.
@Faelsun lol 1) In your opinion they had an easy schedule, however your source which you said you follow (ESPN Strength of Schedule) and my source (Stampede Blue - although you didn't even read it) both say otherwise. 2) he had 16 interceptions but Brees had more turnovers. 3) Please highlight the matches in which the defense had the "bail" Manning out. 4) You are losing control because you are insulting me 5) I got 1 fact from Stampede Blue (strength of schedule), the rest from the NFL website
Denver game he gave it away, thank god your defense was there and .. of course that Denver couldn't score or you would have lost that 3 interception give away, Jaguars same situation Peyton gave the game away and after he was done throwing interceptions and The Defense bought him time against the lol potent Jaguars offense they had a miraculous comback from the mighty jaguars.
@Faelsun You serious? You're going to cite the Denver game? Manning threw 4 TDs (which equates to 24 of the 28 pts the Colts scored!) You want to talk about bail out games? Drew Brees vs Miami week 7: 3 ints and 1 TD (another one on a qb sneak - credit to the online more than Brees), defense scored 2 TDs, special teams scores 1 on return and the rest were rushing. So Brees scored 12 of 46 pts for the Saints compared to Manning who scored 24 of 28 pts for the Colts.
16 season interceptions vs 11 Yeh I think the Denver game is a good example of Typical Manning football. And in the Denver game if it were not for Denvers total inability to score again by all accounts you should have lost.
Yes but they played them multiple times, im talking about Total games played.. The saints had more than half the season playing above 500 teams the Colts just had 5 games or barely 500 teams.
@Faelsun lol I included the teams that they played twice... I'm not saying the Saints had an easier schedule (they didn't) but it was similar to the Colts, so you can't use that as part of your argument.
No you didnt any fucking idiot can look at the Saints 2009 schedule and see who they played and when. But the biggest one is that they had the entire NFC West which is such a shitty division right now anyone could steamroll them... it was like having 4 give away games vs the Lions...... who are tragically in my teams division.
@Faelsun lol yes that did 6 games against teams above .500 If I said 6 teams equal to and greater than .500 than I would be wrong. Learn to read before you comment.
If you want to go there the Colts had less than 5 winning games and Two of them were against the NFC west anyway..... the entire Colts schedule honestly except for the Pats game was a total walk away.... the only hurdles you had were those Manning interceptions hes been giving away all year long.
@Faelsun lol yes ALL the interceptions Manning threw all year... 16 to be precise... wow that's alot! As I said earlier Brees had more turnovers so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
16 is a big number. Its alot. his QB rating was a good 10 points under brees, he has a better O line and a better Defense.. he passed for lower percentages and gave more balls away to the team. Brees won his games some of them from behind, Manning had to let the Defense buy him time in between interceptions to win the game.
7Comebacks in the easiest schedule in the AFC is hardly worth mentioning... again the only game they played of worth all season was the Patriots game.... comebacks against the rams, 49rs and jaguars are not anything to be proud of.
@Faelsun Again it is in your opinion that it was easy even though numerous sources (not just mine) say otherwise. The comebacks were against: Miami (playoff contender), 49ers (playoff contender), Texans twice (playoff contender), Patriots (playoff team), Ravens (playoff team), and Jaguars. Only team on that list that is a gimme was the Jaguars.
Well I have confirmed your sources are shit, 49rs were doing two things all year long jack and shit, the Texans... yeh like the Colts were losing to them, Miami wasnt even .500, Ravens had no shot, and of course the Jags
Like I said the Patriots game was IT for the Colts all year long.. nothing else was relevant.
And no it wasnt 13th toughest it was just fucking 13th.. in my opinion too high considering you only played 5 winning teams ALL SEASON. But even they had NO 5 places ahead of you. 13 out of 32 doesn't mean tough it means your doing better than the .400 teams.
Also another FACT The Colts BARELY got by a struggling or average Patriots team, the Saints DESTROYED the Patriots... and the Pats game was the toughest game and actually the only earned win the Colts had all season... thats another Fact.
Whatever you know full well the Saints threw the last 3 games of the Season, the same way every other top playoff team did..... sure it made annoying Dallas fans think they are better than they really are, but they won the superbowl..... all teams do this going in... unless your stupid like the 07 patriots.
But the Patriots games were early to mid season matchups, those were not throw away games and you know that, your just in typical Colts BS fashion, bullshitting the truth of the situation.
So did the Colts..... its called talking shit...... teams do it.... but the reality is most any smart team drops the last games of the season if they can to rest up. I know you know that..... your just trying to be a dick.
They still gave it away, cmon your not really gonna tell me Tampa is better than the Saints are you. The Vikings did the same thing at the end of the season..... your not getting anywhere with this.
@Faelsun lol never said the Saints were better than Tampa, just that the Saints lost with all their starters (including Brees) playing the full 60 minutes. I know most teams drop games, I've seen it with the Colts numerous times, but in those games they typically sit their starters, NO didn't.
@Faelsun lol you serious? Do I really need to spell it out for you? Well, what I'm saying is that when Manning played all 60 minutes the Colts didn't lose a game; when Brees lost 2 games when starting for the full 60 minutes.
So those are throw away games, you're not saying anything just making childish observations.
If you want to get technical about it, Who won between Brees vs Manning in the Superbowl? Answer Brees, more TDs, more yards, more completions, more everything and better. Who choked in the Superbowl? Eh?
Ah now you're just getting desperate and petty Colts fan, so what they dropped the game, just like you dropped one to the Bills whos defense consisted of Betty white playing nose tackle.
@Faelsun lol yes we lost to the Bills, and who sat out virtually the entire game? Peyton Manning (along with many other starters). So Colts win with Manning, Lose without him... seems to fit the definition of Most Valuable Player.
Yeh but I'm not making an issue of it, your just talking Bullshit, I know the colts threw that game just like the Saints Threw the Dallas and Tampa bay games.
Manning doesn't deserve MVP because his defense has had to bail him out soo many times, for fucks sake the Jacksonville game was a defensive win he threw 2 pics that game against an easy match up,or the Denver game He threw 3 in that game alone... the D bailed him out again.. the D and O line are the MVPs of the Colts.. not Manning.
@Faelsun Clearly you're a hater so nothing I say will change how you view Manning (which is sad). All I can say is that I (along with 39.5 of the MVP voters) believe that Manning deserved to win the award. Brees is an amazing player and there is a very strong chance he will win an MVP in the next few years. Thanks Faelsun, you're comments have been most amusing.
@someguy1893 dude im a patriots fan and the regular season dosent count only the postseason and if the saints lost to the bucs and the redskins your mighty colts should have had beat them but they lost anyways like they always do
@wnedys4life No worries man. This may be a silly question to ask a Pats fan, but honestly, all things equal (i.e. same D, same o-line, etc), who do you think is the better QB? Brees or Manning?
@Faelsun As for the rushing attack, to say they didn't need one is completely incorrect. The Colts have always spoken about being a balanced team, they simply couldn't run the ball in 2009 (they were ranked 30th in yards per game). So without the threat of a running game, opposing defences only had to defend the pass (and they still couldn't stop Manning!!!).
They didn't stop him because Like I said They had an EASY fucking schedule.
The second he had to play a real team they got Raped.
The only thing they proved vs the Saints was one, the AFC was terribly weak that year, and two Manning was obviously the inferior QB of the Two.
Great QBs dont lose SBs with interceptions, Manning is just a mortal interception Chunker like Favre .. just that in the long run he will end up with more career interceptions than Favre... which is sad.
And we know he shouldnt have won, the Saints depend on Brees a hell of a lot more than the Colts depend on Manning. Brees had better stats, less interceptions, higher completion percentage and more touchdowns.
And what happened in the Superbowl, Brees schooled Manning and Manning threw the game losing Choke. Thats how we know who is better and who DESERVED to win.
@Faelsun lol Brees was sacked more and has more total turnovers than Manning!!! Manning had 16 ints and 0 lost fumbles. Brees had 11 ints and 6 lost fumbles. No doubt Brees outplayed Manning in the superbowl. But keep in mind he was playing against an average defense that had it's best (and most important) defensive player (Freeney) injured. I never said the Saints didn't deserve to win, they outplayed the Colts on the day. But to say Brees is better than Manning is ignorant and naive.
Indianapolis had the 13th ranked Defense last year as apposed to New Orleans 19th ranked D. NO was 21 in rushing Indy was 24 .. Indy was 14th NO was 26th in pass D. Rushing D was a near Tie.
@Faelsun lol passer rating doesn't take into account fumbles and sacks (two very important components when measuring the performance of a QB). Manning's numbers are better when you include all the circumstances: which of the other QBs had to play with: a new head coach, 2 starting rookie wideouts (no Harrison or Gonzalez), and no supporting rushing attack? Also where are you getting your stats? According to the NFL website Colts were 32nd in rushing, NO 6th???
Brees has a heavily injured receiving core, he is still throwing for a higher percentage than manning actually about 5% higher, also I hate to bring this up, but its only mid season, manning has plenty of time to throw some of those 4 to 6 int games he likes to do. Also Rivers is kicking his ass again this year in the stats department... actually if you want to use mid season stats... Orton is outperforming Manning.
@Faelsun heavily injured receiving core? have you seen the Colts injury list at WR? Gonzalez OUT, Clark OUT, Collie has missed games, Tamme is injured, not to mention the injuries at RB. I'm sorry but you can't say that Brees has an heavily injured recieving core and Manning doesn't. I agree that Rivers is having a better year than Manning and I would say that he's the MVP at this point in the season (as he is throwing to even worse receivers than Brees or Manning).
@Faelsun I'd also agree that the Colts won't make it to the SB this year, there are simply too many injuries for the team to overcome. Simply making the playoffs will be hard enough.
Actually they were not dead last you lying POS they were 24th, and they were second in rushing in the post season. New Orleans had the 21st ranked rushing attack not the 5th you stupid fuck, and Favre had the 2nd best rushing attack, Christ you could fuck anything up couldn't you? Look if you're going to comment on something stop getting your half ass bullshit information from your god damn stupid Colts fansite, its shit.
Peyton was also in a close race for first place in interceptions.
@Faelsun lol where are you pulling those rankings from? Go to the NFL website and look at the rankings for rushing from the 2009 regular season: Colts 32nd in average yards per game and 30th in yards per carry; NO 6th in ypg and 5th in ypc; Vikings 13 ypg and 19 ypc!!! If you're going to comment and call me a liar make sure you get your facts right dickhead!! Lol Peyton was 10 interceptions off "first place" you moron. Yet another fact you've got wrong!!!
Nope sorry thats BS and you know it, Colts were no where near last place in Rushing. My facts are correct, like I said your BS facts from your fansite will never be correct, so your observations are clearly BS.
@Faelsun lol dude they're not from Stampede Blue, they are from the official website of the NFL. I'm obviously not BSing, and you're just making yourself look like a fool. Btw you have yet to tell me where you got your facts from, which you claim to be correct!!!
The Colts were not last in Rushing, what kind of bullshit are you trying to pull.
Is this some Crybaby colts shit to cur sympathy.
Poor Fucking Manning Threw and interception and lost the superbowl so you have to somehow pretend he had a hard schedule, pretend all those interceptions are someone elses fault, or blame it on fatigue because you had no running game... all of which is of course bullshit.
@Faelsun hahahaha i cant help but laugh at your angry ass all cussing and shit! haha so i guess someones tired of ther team getting raped by the colts! get a life other than the internet nerd haha
Actually I'm a Packers fan, which may surprise you.. you probably thought I was a Saints fan or something. But objectively as a Packers fan, if I had to choose between Manning and Brees to be QB on MY team, no way I pick Manning over Brees and a lot of other fans would say the same thing, we already had one Interception chunker,
Id rather have the shorter QB who has the best accuracy in the NFL then a guy whos gonna throw 20 to 26 interceptions a year.
Actually fool this is the 3rd time Brees has obviously been more deserving of MVP, its the Second time Rivers has outperformed Manning, hell Even Favre and Big Ben had better numbers than Manning.
As for your strength of schedule crap, everyone knows .. thats not a Colts fan, that the Colts had the easiest cakewalk schedule in the NFL, for a team with that kind of talent to have 5 total games with teams at 500 or over is ridiculous, they almost tried to give you the superbowl.. with only one team all year that really could have beaten you in the regular season, the Patriots. They even gave the Colts the entire NFC west, the weakest division in the league, SAD.
@Faelsun As for my crap? I don't care if you don't want to read my sources, but the one you said works, that you said you followed (ESPN), ranked them 13th not last like YOU said. You talk about me getting my facts right? Not one of mine have been wrong! You are a joke.
@Faelsun lol and the Saints played 6. Clearly you're just a hater with nothing better to do than attack those who are percieved to be the best. You back up your arguments with rankings you pull from god knows where and ignore the evidence presented by me! Get a life!
I doubt youll see my boys in the Playoffs well probably make 2nd round unless were lucky, but unlike Colts fans I'm a realist.
But we do have you 3rd game of the season I believe, it wont be so bad though your team is over rated. I mean the Saints beat you up pretty good, and since the vikings and Saints are the only teams above the Packers and Cowboys.... im not certain... but very confident we can curb stomp your punk asses.... get back to you on that.
you are sucha fucking idoit. Have fun getting raped by Freeney and Mathis with that pile of shit you call an o-line. Peyton Maning is going to rip through your secondary like there is no tommorow. Woodson will be covering Wayne the whole game so Manning will have a field day throwing to Clark, Garcon, Collie, and Gonzo. Funny how you call the Colts over rated when GB has been the most overrated team in the NFL the past few years,
Meh you're right to a degree our O line is shit and needs alot of work, really we need a new coach and GM but thats another problem, its not our QBs fault he puts up more than decent numbers, if he improves any more this year we have something there. But I can admit our faults which is more than I can say for Colts fans.
And just so you know we chewed Dallas up and spit them out last year, so our O line might be weak, but good luck down field ace.

Tom Brady- 2 MVP's 3 SB rings

@Tru3Innovator77 I think Tom has a little edge just because he has 3 rings, but if Tom never wins another ring or mvp and Peyton can get one more ring he can go down as better than Tom.

Donkeykong21425 1 year ago
@Donkeykong21425 I don't disagree Peyton Manning is overrated. I hate Peyton Manning. That was not why you had the intellect of your namesake. My comment was in regards to you saying that Peyton would be good if he "trusted his teammates" more. That simply isn't the case. Nothing would make Peyton good.

gmatsue84 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 yeah good luck with that manning alyways chokes in the playoffs and when he loses he blames it on his offensive line, why can't he just admit defeat and be a man, he didn't even deserve this award chris johnson did when you rush for 2,006 rushing yards in a season you are beast it's ridiculous, but people think it's a tradtion for a QB to have it Petyon is nothing without reggie wayne and dallas clark
Donkeykong21425 1 year ago
@Donkeykong21425
Dude, i don't like that either ok? When manning lose it's O-Line fault, it's because of a missed FG, because of reggie wayne, but you are right, he's notthing without him, now what's your point?
gmatsue84 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 well to be honest I'm a pats fan and I just hate it when people say Petyon is better than Brady, sure Petyon has better stats but that's just because he throws the ball more. Also when you look at Brady's wepons they don't look that good Wes welker is 5 foot 9 Deion Branch is 5 foot 10 Brandon Tate drops passes and Julian edelman is a quarterback who plays reciver see what I mean.
Donkeykong21425 1 year ago
@Donkeykong21425

WesBWMS 1 year ago
@WesBWMS the thing is Petyon's Offensive line is so good I was just watching the game on sunday and they gave manning enough room to rush for about 30 yards are you kidding me talk about great offensive line and then when Petyon throws a pick he's like oh fuck you Jeff saurday, even though he wasn't invloved in the interception petyon just doesn't want to admit he's not perfect so he blames others to make himself feel better.

yeah i can agree with that, i just hate when people say "ha manning has 4 MVPs, he's definetively the best ever" and how can you have 4 MVPs and only win a superbowl, how can people consider you the best ever if you only got one ring and threw a PICK 6 in a SUPERBOWL, best every doesn't do that. and honestly he's not thaaat winner.... tracy porter can tell you that
gmatsue84 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 yeah he isint the best ever hes in the top 5 i whould say but he is a great qb and every qb has something about them peyton is smart on the field and hes holds that team on his shoulders
mudcurb1234 1 year ago
@mudcurb1234
same for brady, montana, elway, vick, rivers, and so many others. but manning's problem is in clutch situation. HE SIMPLY CAN'T make good decisions under pressure, 4 picks in 01 championship, pick 6 in SB44, 3 interceptions vs pats 2 weeks ago including the last where he had to kneel it to get it to the overtime. that's why he is top 6 to me
gmatsue84 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 yea but he can pick a play under preasure look how manys times hes succeded last year colts vs pats 17 seconds on the 4Q and he won the game in 17 seconds thats not a bad decision under preasure. but the prob is that he uses to many short field plays he needs to stop passing to the same wr's all the time what happend to those long deep pass plays then that coach jim caldwell is a bum he needs to be fired i dont care the only reason colts did good last year is because dungys playbook
mudcurb1234 1 year ago
@mudcurb1234
but thats manning's problem, in regular season he is a beast, but when he really needs a win he can't pull it off, and that's why he can't be the best ever..
gmatsue84 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 yeah agree.but what he needs to do when this season is over they need to get new plays and manning needs to practice with every wide reciever and b able to even make a good pass even when hes under preasure he needs to stop throwing the ball to the closest wr and throw it to the one thats open. if you look closely the whole year peyton has thrown passes to the closest wr's he got to remember theres LINEBACKERS THE AND EVERYTHING.WE NEED TO PLAY OUR OLD PLAYS.
mudcurb1234 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 what the colts also need to do is practice with the offensive line they need to get better they dont have that long in the nfl there mostley veterans so we need to get jeff saturday and the rest of the boys to make shure peyton dont get presured and our deffense needs to step it up bob sanders needs to quit getting hert hes bin getting hert for the last 3 years he used to be awsome wtf happend.anyways if we can do all this we can get to the superbowl again fire jim caldwell to.
mudcurb1234 1 year ago
@mudcurb1234
wait let's get back to what i said. Peyton had an amazing team in 03, 04 and 05. in 03 he threw 4 picks in the national championship, in 04 he set the TD record in a single season and lost before the superbowl. what i'm trying to say is that he is not bad when he is under "pass rush" pressure, but when he is in emotional pressure. caldwell sucks everybody knows and you may need to change a bit your playbook, but manning needs be a great QB when he really needs = playoffs
gmatsue84 1 year ago
@gmatsue84 agreed but caldwell needs to be fired i cant belive coach dungy gave his position up to him he should have stayed one more year and find someone else now we got a bum coach that cost us the superbowl.but if you look at it it wasent mannings fault he threw a interception reggie wayne ran the rong route.now what we gonna do everybody is saying manning dont have long ppl say 5 year some say 3 years what do you think he never gets hert..add me as friend bro
mudcurb1234 1 year ago
ok im sorry but when does someone run for 2000 yards or pass for 5000 and not win mvp.

777zippy777 1 year ago
Take this into consideration...Matt Cassel hadn't started a game since Highschool then comes in and replaces Brady and takes the PATs to an 11-5 season. Is it bc Matt Cassel is great? No it's bc he fit into the system. Drew Brees is a great QB but lets face it every other pass is a well devised screen pass straight from the offensive coordiator, plus much of the credit for their success has to go the Defense. The Vikes were a winning team without Favre sorry.
KurtisxLogan 1 year ago
@KurtisxLogan Every QB in the NFL is a "System QB." Nobody is out there playing "jungle ball". They all have a pre-planned scheme, a specific approach, and a strategy implemented with plays from a "playbook" (A System).
If you want to claim certain successful QB's are a product of the "System," you need to look no further than Peyton Manning. He has played in the same offense for 12 years. Favre and Brady have had to learn new offensive systems with different O.C.'s, Manning hasn't.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@Pick6PeytonSB44 Manning is the "system" idiot. He runs the offense entirely..I would love to see another QB try to do that. Tom Brady got hurt for a season and his team went 11-5 and Cassel posted the same kind of numbers that Brady posted. Farve has been doing a lot of moving around but, NO TEAM under any cirumstance would allow Brett Favre to call his own plays. The Patriots will be good wihthout Brady and the Vikings will be good without Favre..The Colts 3-13 at best. Get a clue bud
KurtisxLogan 1 year ago
@KurtisxLogan Now i know you're talking out of your ass. Cassel had 22 TD's and 11 Ints with 3600 yards with a team that Brady had 50 TDs 8 Ints and 4800 yds.
Brady went 18-1 and got to the SB.
Cassel didn't make the playoffs.
Now you tell me, do you still think Cassel posted the same kind of numbers Brady posted?
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@Pick6PeytonSB44 Cassel lead the Pats to an 11-5 record. Brady comes back and leads them to a 10-6 record and gets blown out in the playoffs, at home. Please, The Patriots could do well with many different QBs, even a crappy Matt Cassel. But you take Peyton away from the Colts, and they're done.
wirymo123 1 year ago
@wirymo123 Cassel took the Pats to 11-5 and missed the playoffs with the same team that Brady took to the Superbowl. He was 16-0 in the reg season and 18-1 overall. What that means is that if Brady takes a team to 12-4 and makes the playoffs, Cassel can take that same team to 7-9 record, and that's not good enough for the playoffs. The 09' team when they went 10-6 was a different team with a brand new and very young defense which they still have. It's rebuilding time for the Pats.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@wirymo123 Don't blind yourself. A 5 game difference is Huge in the NFL. 16-0 vs 11-5 and no playoffs is a huge difference.
Take Peyton away from the Colts and they're done, I agree, unless of course they get a good QB to back up Manning for 3 years while he learns the offense like Cassel did with Brady. I'm sure Manning can mentor a good QB as good as Brady did. The Colts went 6-10 WITH Manning in 01'. That's what Manning does with a bad team. He needs good players around him too.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@wirymo123 Anyway, good luck this year. Maybe Manning will redeem himself in this year's Superbowl. Manning is on pace for another MVP so enjoy the season. We'll see where Brady and Manning end up when it's all said and done. Until then, maybe the Colts face the Pats in the playoffs this year and we all get another freaking great game. If not, we still have the reg season game in week 11, I think.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@KurtisxLogan You want to know what Manning would do on a bad team?
Look no further than the 01 Colts, 6-10 record with Manning (the coach, the system). LOL
You're a retard if you think Manning is the whole team.
Yeah idiot, he's the whole team, LOL that's why they're 9-9 in the Playoffs, because Manning is "the system" LMAO
If Peyton IS "The System," then they need a new system for the Playoffs!! Cause the one they have now is mediocre at best, 9-9? WTF!!
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@Pick6PeytonSB44
He's in an entirely different league than anyone else in the NFL now, and in the past.
purdue2009 1 year ago
@purdue2009 If you took Peyton off the colts today, their failure of success would depend on who takes over at QB. If it's Curtis Painter, they fail. If they a good QB took over, they would be fine.
The Colts are not a bad team, they have plenty of good players.
No other QB has ever ran the entire offense like Manning, i agree. But i also think that may be the reason for the 9-9 playoff record. Manning is in over his head with all that he does. He makes alot of foolish decisions.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@purdue2009 Look at the last 5:35 of SB44. He abandones the run game which was working all day. He goes pass happy and puts it all on his shoulders. He tried to do too much and what happened? Boom, Pick-6, game over.
If he had a real O.C. he would've reigned him in and said, "mix in some runs, keep them off balance, kill some clock."
Manning was on pace to score and leave 2 mins on the clock for his tired D to try and stop Brees from driving for a FG and the win. Why?? it's foolish!!
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@purdue2009 Being the O.C. is a great way to enhance your legacy, put up Huge stats, get MVP's, and win in the reg season.
But it's not the way to get Rings. Look at his only Ring. Manning had 3 TD's, 7 Int's in 4 playoff games that year. That's the Worse Ever for an SB winner. Outside of the Pats comeback, his team absolutely carried him like no team has ever carried a QB. What's that tell you? Hs team is good enough, he doesn't have to do it all, but he wants to be the only heroe.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@Pick6PeytonSB44 Trying to do too much leads to what happened in SB 44.
I think he's one of the Greatest Ever. Who knows if he'll ever be The Greatest.
But if he wants Rings. He's gonna have to get out of his own way to get them. He needs a Coach or O.C. that is not a cardboard cut out like he has now to reign him in when he plays with too much rope and hangs himself like in SB44.
That Pick-6 Was an Absolute Debacle. It was Horrible. He abandoned the run game and game over.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
@KurtisxLogan I don't mind Manning getting the MVP every year. He's a stats monster and he's the Greatest Regular Season QB ever, and that's a huge accomplishment! But you're kidding yourself if you think Brees, Favre, Brady, or Rodgers and Rivers don't change the calls at the line based on the coverage they see. All good QB's have that flexibility.
Pick6PeytonSB44 1 year ago
MVP stands for most valuable player idiots...not who's posted the best stats. It's who is more important to their team. Could the Colts go .500 without Manning? Fuck No. I'm sick of all you ass hurt bitches who can't grasp that no other QB does what Manning does. Brees, Brady, Rivers and yes even Favre are system QB's. They do almost exactly what they're told from their coach's. Of course they can audible but stil it's the coaches call. Manning is a coach he calls all the shots on Offense.

Out of the other contenders Brees had the 5th ranked rushing attack and Farve had the 13th.
someguy1893 1 year ago
They didn't have a rushing attack because they didn't need one, they built the team around the Passing game just like the Patriots did, they only ran when they needed to. Nevermind the fact they had one of the Top 3 defenses in the league.
Also they had the EASIEST schedule in the NFL, no one can doubt that, they had a cakewalk. Thats probably why when they played a real team ( SAINTS) they got the Shit kicked out of them.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol top 3 defense? They were 18th ranked for ypg and 8th for pts allowed. Hardly top 3. Colts had the 11th toughest schedule in the league. As for the superbowl interception, watch the replay closely: the play is clearly an option route by the reciever (which means he reads the defense and reacts). Reggie chose to cut inside rather than out, Peyton read Reggie, made the throw and the Porter made a great play and jumped the route.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Unless Reggie Threw the interception you're just talking more shit.
Colts had the EASIEST Schedule in the NFL, thats beyond doubt, please dont even try on that BS.

@Faelsun go to: stampedeblue (dot) com/2010/2/23/1322513/2010/2/23/1322513/inside-the-numbers-2009-season Assuming you're smart enough to be able to understand it, the Colts had the 11th toughest schedule.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Why would i got to a Colts Fansite to get the Facts about the Colts lol?
Are you fucking stupid?
I just use the NFL sponsored Strength of Schedule report hosted by ESPN thay says that the Colts only played 5 teams all year with a win rating Above .500.
I'm smart enough to get the facts from a reliable source asshole.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol you're such a simpleton. The ESPN strength of schedule only looks at win loss records of opponents - nothing else. The strength of schedule by Stampede Blue takes into account all aspects of football. And yes it is from a Colts source but it is simply stating facts and figures which cannot be influenced by opinion (i.e. can't be biased). And btw the ESPN strength of schedule for 2009, ranked the Colts 13th toughest!!! Get your facts right!
someguy1893 1 year ago
Stampede Blue is a Colts Fansite and will more than likely figure out a way to say the Colts had a tough Schedule. But FACT is the Colts played FIVE teams that were over 500.. and just barely AT or over 500 ALL SEASON.
FIVE TEAMS ALL SEASON.
Your bullshit Colts fansite cant deny or bullshit out of that simple fact.
Your defense was ranked higher than the Saints verifiable FACT.
Your pass Defense was ranked higher as well.
For Two main reasons, you had good D and a cakewalk Schedule.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun How about you go and read the article and tell me how it is biased, rather than just speculating?
someguy1893 1 year ago
I dont waste my time with BS colts fansites, their about as truthful and reliable as Colts fans... which isn't saying much. I'm not even a Saints fan, but you Colts guys just beat all logic.
Faelsun 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@Faelsun Then it's clear that you're a hater, nothing more.
someguy1893 1 year ago
@Faelsun This just shows that you're a hater - you don't even consider evidence presented against you, you simply dismiss it. It's sad really.
someguy1893 1 year ago
I look at the evidence I see the stats and teams very clearly, Colts 5 games all season against a .500 team, .... what else do you need to say.... nothing.
Cakewalk schedule.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun Like I said you're a simpleton.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Not really it's just Colts fans like you, I call them Dicks, think they know alot, but they really don't, full of shit really. Dallas fans talk alot of shit too, but ultimately they admit the truth..... I cant say the same for Colts fans.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol small mind, putting all Colts fans together in a basket. Every fan base has fans that talk shit. It's like saying all Americans are fat, typical simpleton comment.
someguy1893 1 year ago
No Colts fans don't talk shit that requires a sense of humor. Colts fan cry and bitch like the Justin Bieber fan club, or some fucked up Hannah Montana concert full of rabid idiot children who cant be reasoned with or spoken to rationally.
Its almost like the Colts fanbase believe they are special and better than everyone for no real reason. Maybe listening to the ESPN broadcasters too much has gone to your head, too much Manning Fiction.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol clearly you're losing control - you have to insult the fans rather than debate the topic. Very very sad.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Lol how so, is this Colt logic? Pointing out the fact that you had an easy schedule, too many interceptions all season long, a Defense that constantly has to bail out Manning, I'm not losing control all I have to do is cross reference the schedule you're the one who gets all his "facts" from a Colts Fanboy site.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol 1) In your opinion they had an easy schedule, however your source which you said you follow (ESPN Strength of Schedule) and my source (Stampede Blue - although you didn't even read it) both say otherwise. 2) he had 16 interceptions but Brees had more turnovers. 3) Please highlight the matches in which the defense had the "bail" Manning out. 4) You are losing control because you are insulting me 5) I got 1 fact from Stampede Blue (strength of schedule), the rest from the NFL website
someguy1893 1 year ago
I am insulting you but not losing control.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun You serious? You're going to cite the Denver game? Manning threw 4 TDs (which equates to 24 of the 28 pts the Colts scored!) You want to talk about bail out games? Drew Brees vs Miami week 7: 3 ints and 1 TD (another one on a qb sneak - credit to the online more than Brees), defense scored 2 TDs, special teams scores 1 on return and the rest were rushing. So Brees scored 12 of 46 pts for the Saints compared to Manning who scored 24 of 28 pts for the Colts.
someguy1893 1 year ago
16 season interceptions vs 11 Yeh I think the Denver game is a good example of Typical Manning football. And in the Denver game if it were not for Denvers total inability to score again by all accounts you should have lost.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun Peyton - 16 turnovers vs Brees - 17 turnovers (yes a lost fumble is a turnover)
someguy1893 1 year ago
Your assuming Brees caused himself to get tackled what bullshit.
Manning 16 interceptions Brees 11.
END
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun NO played SIX teams above .500 - ONE more than the Colts.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Yes but they played them multiple times, im talking about Total games played.. The saints had more than half the season playing above 500 teams the Colts just had 5 games or barely 500 teams.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol I included the teams that they played twice... I'm not saying the Saints had an easier schedule (they didn't) but it was similar to the Colts, so you can't use that as part of your argument.
someguy1893 1 year ago
No you didnt any fucking idiot can look at the Saints 2009 schedule and see who they played and when. But the biggest one is that they had the entire NFC West which is such a shitty division right now anyone could steamroll them... it was like having 4 give away games vs the Lions...... who are tragically in my teams division.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol yes that did 6 games against teams above .500 If I said 6 teams equal to and greater than .500 than I would be wrong. Learn to read before you comment.
someguy1893 1 year ago
If you want to go there the Colts had less than 5 winning games and Two of them were against the NFC west anyway..... the entire Colts schedule honestly except for the Pats game was a total walk away.... the only hurdles you had were those Manning interceptions hes been giving away all year long.
Saints 10 competitive games, Colts .. one or two.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol yes ALL the interceptions Manning threw all year... 16 to be precise... wow that's alot! As I said earlier Brees had more turnovers so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
someguy1893 1 year ago
16 is a big number. Its alot. his QB rating was a good 10 points under brees, he has a better O line and a better Defense.. he passed for lower percentages and gave more balls away to the team. Brees won his games some of them from behind, Manning had to let the Defense buy him time in between interceptions to win the game.

someguy1893 1 year ago
@Faelsun Brees had more turnovers!!! Peyton led the Colts to an NFL record 7 4th qtr comebacks!!! My god you're stupid!!
someguy1893 1 year ago
7Comebacks in the easiest schedule in the AFC is hardly worth mentioning... again the only game they played of worth all season was the Patriots game.... comebacks against the rams, 49rs and jaguars are not anything to be proud of.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun Again it is in your opinion that it was easy even though numerous sources (not just mine) say otherwise. The comebacks were against: Miami (playoff contender), 49ers (playoff contender), Texans twice (playoff contender), Patriots (playoff team), Ravens (playoff team), and Jaguars. Only team on that list that is a gimme was the Jaguars.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Well I have confirmed your sources are shit, 49rs were doing two things all year long jack and shit, the Texans... yeh like the Colts were losing to them, Miami wasnt even .500, Ravens had no shot, and of course the Jags
Like I said the Patriots game was IT for the Colts all year long.. nothing else was relevant.
Faelsun 1 year ago
And no it wasnt 13th toughest it was just fucking 13th.. in my opinion too high considering you only played 5 winning teams ALL SEASON. But even they had NO 5 places ahead of you. 13 out of 32 doesn't mean tough it means your doing better than the .400 teams.
Also another FACT The Colts BARELY got by a struggling or average Patriots team, the Saints DESTROYED the Patriots... and the Pats game was the toughest game and actually the only earned win the Colts had all season... thats another Fact.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun You want to make single game comparisons? Saints lost to the Bucs!
someguy1893 1 year ago
Whatever you know full well the Saints threw the last 3 games of the Season, the same way every other top playoff team did..... sure it made annoying Dallas fans think they are better than they really are, but they won the superbowl..... all teams do this going in... unless your stupid like the 07 patriots.
But the Patriots games were early to mid season matchups, those were not throw away games and you know that, your just in typical Colts BS fashion, bullshitting the truth of the situation.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun LOL you kidding me? Saints cam out and said they would go for perfection!!!
someguy1893 1 year ago
So did the Colts..... its called talking shit...... teams do it.... but the reality is most any smart team drops the last games of the season if they can to rest up. I know you know that..... your just trying to be a dick.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun Saints played every starting player for the full 60 minutes and still lost.
someguy1893 1 year ago
They still gave it away, cmon your not really gonna tell me Tampa is better than the Saints are you. The Vikings did the same thing at the end of the season..... your not getting anywhere with this.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol never said the Saints were better than Tampa, just that the Saints lost with all their starters (including Brees) playing the full 60 minutes. I know most teams drop games, I've seen it with the Colts numerous times, but in those games they typically sit their starters, NO didn't.
someguy1893 1 year ago
So, you're still making no point and avoiding the facts...... end of the season Super bowl aspiring teams drop games .... big deal move on.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol you serious? Do I really need to spell it out for you? Well, what I'm saying is that when Manning played all 60 minutes the Colts didn't lose a game; when Brees lost 2 games when starting for the full 60 minutes.
someguy1893 1 year ago
So those are throw away games, you're not saying anything just making childish observations.
If you want to get technical about it, Who won between Brees vs Manning in the Superbowl? Answer Brees, more TDs, more yards, more completions, more everything and better. Who choked in the Superbowl? Eh?
CHOKED.
Brees better QB, better man.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun You are basing you're assessment on 1 game! LOL
someguy1893 1 year ago
@someguy1893 and who did the colts lose to in the sb the SAINTSSSS
wnedys4life 1 year ago
@wnedys4life lol yep they sure did! However I think we can all agree that losing to the Saints is better than losing to the Redskins...
someguy1893 1 year ago
Ah now you're just getting desperate and petty Colts fan, so what they dropped the game, just like you dropped one to the Bills whos defense consisted of Betty white playing nose tackle.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol yes we lost to the Bills, and who sat out virtually the entire game? Peyton Manning (along with many other starters). So Colts win with Manning, Lose without him... seems to fit the definition of Most Valuable Player.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Yeh but I'm not making an issue of it, your just talking Bullshit, I know the colts threw that game just like the Saints Threw the Dallas and Tampa bay games.
Manning doesn't deserve MVP because his defense has had to bail him out soo many times, for fucks sake the Jacksonville game was a defensive win he threw 2 pics that game against an easy match up,or the Denver game He threw 3 in that game alone... the D bailed him out again.. the D and O line are the MVPs of the Colts.. not Manning.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun Clearly you're a hater so nothing I say will change how you view Manning (which is sad). All I can say is that I (along with 39.5 of the MVP voters) believe that Manning deserved to win the award. Brees is an amazing player and there is a very strong chance he will win an MVP in the next few years. Thanks Faelsun, you're comments have been most amusing.
someguy1893 1 year ago
@someguy1893 dude im a patriots fan and the regular season dosent count only the postseason and if the saints lost to the bucs and the redskins your mighty colts should have had beat them but they lost anyways like they always do
wnedys4life 1 year ago
@wnedys4life I know. I think you took my comment out of context. My beef is not with you, it's with Faelsun.
someguy1893 1 year ago
@someguy1893 sorry man
wnedys4life 1 year ago
@wnedys4life No worries man. This may be a silly question to ask a Pats fan, but honestly, all things equal (i.e. same D, same o-line, etc), who do you think is the better QB? Brees or Manning?
someguy1893 1 year ago
@someguy1893 i know i hate how the pats dont sign their good player via asante samuel
and drew brees is the better qb in my opinion
wnedys4life 1 year ago
@Faelsun As for the rushing attack, to say they didn't need one is completely incorrect. The Colts have always spoken about being a balanced team, they simply couldn't run the ball in 2009 (they were ranked 30th in yards per game). So without the threat of a running game, opposing defences only had to defend the pass (and they still couldn't stop Manning!!!).
someguy1893 1 year ago
They didn't stop him because Like I said They had an EASY fucking schedule.
The second he had to play a real team they got Raped.
The only thing they proved vs the Saints was one, the AFC was terribly weak that year, and two Manning was obviously the inferior QB of the Two.
Great QBs dont lose SBs with interceptions, Manning is just a mortal interception Chunker like Favre .. just that in the long run he will end up with more career interceptions than Favre... which is sad.
Faelsun 1 year ago
And we know he shouldnt have won, the Saints depend on Brees a hell of a lot more than the Colts depend on Manning. Brees had better stats, less interceptions, higher completion percentage and more touchdowns.
And what happened in the Superbowl, Brees schooled Manning and Manning threw the game losing Choke. Thats how we know who is better and who DESERVED to win.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol Brees was sacked more and has more total turnovers than Manning!!! Manning had 16 ints and 0 lost fumbles. Brees had 11 ints and 6 lost fumbles. No doubt Brees outplayed Manning in the superbowl. But keep in mind he was playing against an average defense that had it's best (and most important) defensive player (Freeney) injured. I never said the Saints didn't deserve to win, they outplayed the Colts on the day. But to say Brees is better than Manning is ignorant and naive.
someguy1893 1 year ago
Manning had 16 interceptions, 68% completion rate and 4500 yards, with a QB rating of 99.
BREES had, 70% completion rate, 11 interceptions, 4388 yards and a rating of 109.6
Hell Favre had 68.4 rating, 4202 yards, 33 TD, 7 interceptions, 107.2 passer rating.
Hell Rivers had better numbers than Manning.
Indianapolis had the 13th ranked Defense last year as apposed to New Orleans 19th ranked D. NO was 21 in rushing Indy was 24 .. Indy was 14th NO was 26th in pass D. Rushing D was a near Tie.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol passer rating doesn't take into account fumbles and sacks (two very important components when measuring the performance of a QB). Manning's numbers are better when you include all the circumstances: which of the other QBs had to play with: a new head coach, 2 starting rookie wideouts (no Harrison or Gonzalez), and no supporting rushing attack? Also where are you getting your stats? According to the NFL website Colts were 32nd in rushing, NO 6th???
someguy1893 1 year ago
@Faelsun After 7 weeks (6 games for Manning, 7 for Brees):
Manning: 319 ypg, 67% completion percentage, 13 TD, 2 INT, 103.4 passer rating
Brees: 289 ypg, 69% completion percentage, 14 TD, 10!!!! INT, 91.4 passer rating
How stupid do you feel now dickhead?!
someguy1893 1 year ago
Brees has a heavily injured receiving core, he is still throwing for a higher percentage than manning actually about 5% higher, also I hate to bring this up, but its only mid season, manning has plenty of time to throw some of those 4 to 6 int games he likes to do. Also Rivers is kicking his ass again this year in the stats department... actually if you want to use mid season stats... Orton is outperforming Manning.
Colts wont go to the SB this year sorry,
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun heavily injured receiving core? have you seen the Colts injury list at WR? Gonzalez OUT, Clark OUT, Collie has missed games, Tamme is injured, not to mention the injuries at RB. I'm sorry but you can't say that Brees has an heavily injured recieving core and Manning doesn't. I agree that Rivers is having a better year than Manning and I would say that he's the MVP at this point in the season (as he is throwing to even worse receivers than Brees or Manning).
someguy1893 1 year ago
@Faelsun I'd also agree that the Colts won't make it to the SB this year, there are simply too many injuries for the team to overcome. Simply making the playoffs will be hard enough.
someguy1893 1 year ago
@someguy1893 lmao tell em bro
mudcurb1234 1 year ago
Actually they were not dead last you lying POS they were 24th, and they were second in rushing in the post season. New Orleans had the 21st ranked rushing attack not the 5th you stupid fuck, and Favre had the 2nd best rushing attack, Christ you could fuck anything up couldn't you? Look if you're going to comment on something stop getting your half ass bullshit information from your god damn stupid Colts fansite, its shit.
Peyton was also in a close race for first place in interceptions.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol where are you pulling those rankings from? Go to the NFL website and look at the rankings for rushing from the 2009 regular season: Colts 32nd in average yards per game and 30th in yards per carry; NO 6th in ypg and 5th in ypc; Vikings 13 ypg and 19 ypc!!! If you're going to comment and call me a liar make sure you get your facts right dickhead!! Lol Peyton was 10 interceptions off "first place" you moron. Yet another fact you've got wrong!!!
someguy1893 1 year ago
Nope sorry thats BS and you know it, Colts were no where near last place in Rushing. My facts are correct, like I said your BS facts from your fansite will never be correct, so your observations are clearly BS.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun lol dude they're not from Stampede Blue, they are from the official website of the NFL. I'm obviously not BSing, and you're just making yourself look like a fool. Btw you have yet to tell me where you got your facts from, which you claim to be correct!!!
someguy1893 1 year ago
Horse shit.
Fucking Colts fans, Jesus Christ.

Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun How long has Breez been on? One year? How many times has Manning kicked his numbers in the ass? A dozen? You're a dumbass.

Faelsun 1 year ago
As for your strength of schedule crap, everyone knows .. thats not a Colts fan, that the Colts had the easiest cakewalk schedule in the NFL, for a team with that kind of talent to have 5 total games with teams at 500 or over is ridiculous, they almost tried to give you the superbowl.. with only one team all year that really could have beaten you in the regular season, the Patriots. They even gave the Colts the entire NFC west, the weakest division in the league, SAD.
Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun As for my crap? I don't care if you don't want to read my sources, but the one you said works, that you said you followed (ESPN), ranked them 13th not last like YOU said. You talk about me getting my facts right? Not one of mine have been wrong! You are a joke.

Five teams, you barely beat the Patriots who the Saints KILLED.

The Saints played 9 you sorry piece of shit.
I got it from their god damned schedule you moron..... look it the fuck up.
You can count the .500 plus teams they played on your fingers shithead.
Like the Colts who played FIVE fucking teams all year with a 500 record.
I back mine up from the NFL you get yours from Colts fansites, which makes you wrong by definition.

Faelsun 1 year ago
@Faelsun
you are sucha fucking idoit. Funny how you call the Colts over rated when GB has been the most overrated team in the NFL the past few years,
LaserRocketArm18 1 year ago
Meh you're right to a degree our O line is shit and needs alot of work, really we need a new coach and GM but thats another problem, its not our QBs fault he puts up more than decent numbers, if he improves any more this year we have something there. But I can admit our faults which is more than I can say for Colts fans.
And just so you know we chewed Dallas up and spit them out last year, so our O line might be weak, but good luck down field ace.
