  • Download realplayer and download the video to put on your iPod and convert it to iPod and when done, it should ask to add to iTunes.

  • I have the feeling you live an Alberta. I'm not sure why, it's just what I get from you, am I right?

  • avi is a large video format which would probably play very jerky on an IPOD or any hand held MP3 player. You may have the same problem with the video where it would go out of sink, the main reason it does that is the video bandwith is not able to keep up with the much smaller audio. When you are converting it, your computer may not be able to keep the video conversion up with the audio causing it to fall out of sink. This happens mainly on HD on a single core processor. computer.

  • Yeah, ehh, this this is ehr, yeah ee help me steal music!!!!1111

    man, fuck you

  • a lot of people use mp4 now

  • Yea the ipod format problem drove me crazy when I first got my ipod, because I wasn't very tech savvy. Fortunately though, "ipod format" videos are beginning to be more common online, for that reason. Unfortunately, I don't see Apple changing their video format; they have all the pirating protection in place to keep good relations with the music industry. If they let that go, iTunes wouldn't be as successful, or as universal of a place to get media.

  • All of my videos are .mov!

  • MP4 is compressed, therefore taking lees space. IDK bout avi.

  • Using piracy as an argument is silly, some of like to reward those who have worked hard to give us movies and music we enjoy. If everyone had your attitude, there would be no music or movies, as they'd all go bankrupt.

  • I have videos on my computer that are MP4 and Quicktime...

I have a 2nd gen iPod nano though so that doesn't really mean anything to me :P

But it's WAY worse on the Zune. It doesn't even play WMA lol!

  • Lets see...yeah, video container thing has bugged many, but avi container ? That like something cavemen use. Today's container is mkv, it allows you to do so much...which i'm sure many people just ignore. Whatever.

Oh, and Quicktime is pretty much THE pro codec. Because it doesnt have keyframes, every frame is a keyframe in Quicktime. Neat.

  • Well, some movie studios look like they will now be including an iTunes compatible video file included in their standard DVD, so now you can install that in your iPod without having to resort to Handbrake or any other converter. Are you looking forward to Macworld next week? I wonder what El Jobso has to pull out of his sleeve, I bet allot since yesterday he upgraded the Mac Pros and Xserv.

  • cool vids. About your keyboard probs. If you have such problem either call apple or take it back to the store for an exchange with another one. It maybe hardware related problem specifically to your macbook. i suggest you do so unless maybe you are not the only one complaining about it. What i do if i have a problem, i usually check forums to see if its a common prob.
