@abacacus I wouldn't say it was a low amount of power considering your average family car has less than 70bhp, and this car costs what 2k max now? How much do you have to pay for 300 horses? An E46 M3 would set you back atleast 10 grand! A lot more.
@scottravenhill you think that but those MB6 have a rover chassis which can handle all you need to do is polybush the car and change the REAR ARB and your good to go
im guessing abacacus owns a car with forced induction, as that is the only way 100bhp per litre from a basicaly standard engine is 'nothing special'...,altho personaly just sounds like someone who knows very little
What about the latest Golf GTI, to get 100bhp a litre it needs forced induction.
There was a while when only Honda, BMW, and Ferrari were the only production cars that produced standard production cars with over 100bhp/litre. Quite an exclusive club!

jesus that was a quick reply haha ,i have raced a good few not much between the 1,6 1.8 vti.but still prefer the mb shape to the ek4
galpato 3 years ago
These 1.8s only have about 6 more bhp and 6 more ft lbs of torque but more weight.
rehmant 3 years ago 2
@galpato yeah the 1.6 would probably beat the 1.8 round a track. ( i am a 1.8 vti owner)

180 isn't that much power, at all...
abacacus 3 years ago
out of a basically standard 1.8 ??
miniator 3 years ago
still not that much, and those little 1.8's can put out big power without to much modification. especially with Forced Induction.
abacacus 3 years ago
lol you haven't a clue have you!?
miniator 3 years ago 5
about what. 100 hp per litre. whoop de do. 180 horsepower isn;t alot of horsepower.
250 would a good bit. 300 would be alot. and it is very possible to do so.

@robz1471
The Toyota engine is obvious alot newer and besides this uses a de-tuned version of the Integra Type R from the 90s.

techtrance11 9 months ago
@abacacus
That's almost 100 hp per liter not to shabby if you ask me.
TheCynabal 3 weeks ago
@TheCynabal 180 is still 180, it doesn't matter how many litres it's coming from, it's still a low amount of power.
Efficient, yes. Powerful, no.
