There aren't new weapons included in the gunwad,

the gunwad is just an modification of the weapons behavior of fire and recoil speed (expect the pistols are new and that's it ) and a complete replacement of the random sounds in Doom , except the sounds of the arch vile are un-touched.

if you did, then you wouldn't be jumping, using altered sounds and background music, wouldn't be using a crosshair, and wouldn't be using vertical aim. all these source ports have practically turned doom into an entirely different game.
