LF tire seems to have a sticker remnant so the tires may have been very cold. That might explain the lack of grip. Connor D is rising star and I hope he does well!

Skip Barber used to call me all the time to build those frames for them. They only wanted to pay $400 gross a week salary and 45 hours.

 The best part is all these frames are brazed not tig welded. That's why they break apart so easily.

@mitcjac54321 it can be done on treads. but those were the r1 slick tires. to aggressive on turn in as u might of saw then had target fixation on the wall.

That's diving turn, not West Bend. Really shouldn't lose it there like that, I'm not sure that car was 100%.

Been off West Bend in exactly the same spot in the same type of car(Formula Skip Barber) during racing school. I think I came in too hot and tried to trail brake(shifted the weight to the rear in a rear engined car....LOL). Hit just about exactly like Connor.Like someone posted here "if you aren't scared in West bend, you're not driving it right". Try it yourself before being critical of Connor!!

stupid mistake? I think your being a little hard on the kid, and I mean kid. I think Connor in 16 or 17 years old, and in his first year in the national series which he won. If anyone could have watched this kid in race 2 and come all the from the back to the front would be impressed. This is a name people will hear about in the future when talking about racing. My uncle took those still shots of the crash glad to see the were useful. It was a very scary crash to see so we were both happy to see him jump out of the car. I also have pics of the car on the tow truck in the pits if you want them let me know and I will email them to you.
