  • Very Well said Zen c]:-)

  • are dvd reviews copyright infringement?

  • @MrRickt90 - Usually those who are doing DVD reviews are using trailers that have been expressly sent to the reviewer for the purposes of advertisement of the DVD when they contain clips. Other than that, one should do their best to ensure the "small clip" they use fall squarely under fair use.

    ~ Zen

  • @ZenArcher i mean showing the dvd front cover and discussing the movie no clips or trailers involved is that ok?

  • @MrRickt90 I don't think there would be any problems with that practice.

    ~Zen

  • @ZenArcher great thank you.you can sub my channel i vlog too.

  • I primarily use Youtube as a host for my Journal WEBSITE vlogs. I find Youtube itself too big to make it worthwhile....yet.

  • i remember when zen archer was on front page just by sitting and talking to web cam. YT rights video :)

  • Your Vlogs are so real. That is wonderful, I am new to the whole vlogging thing, not sure what to discuss. But, you are great.

  • Make more videos dude

  • 4,619 to be presice lol I have 2 and im thrilled lol was nice to hear from ya take care JO xoxoxoxox

  • You among others are the "Masters of this Art". I don't know if this is an original statement, but I have started calling this YouTube thing a "Legitimate Art"

  • haha awesome, I made my account 20 days before you zen, Idk just made me giggle. And yet I still dont make videos..I really should some day.

  • I wont say i completely disagree with you but let me say one thing... I have been a member since august 06... started watching in june... Was hooked on the wine kone and sadly the whole lonelygirl saga lol... anyway i dont vlog.. thought about it and tried it and decided it isnt for me... I prefer making shorts and seeing what people think... However... I do like to converse with others who do the same... Not here for the views, money or anthing... Im here for the community of it...

  • Not to say that alot of views dont excite me... but to be fair on the entertainment side of youtube you need alot more hits than vlogers to get comments... Anyway just thought you might like to hear it from anothers view... would have vloged it but well im not a vlogger.... :D

  • I was going to start doing some more vloging, then I found out that a lot of people who know me off-line are seeing my videos. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I liked when I started how I could post a video and no one knew me. Now I feel strange posting a video I know my family and friends might see.

  • I think that you're absolutely right about vloggers and the lack of an agenda. I look forward to a meet-up some day so that I can interact on a different level and in 3-D so to speak. Hoping to make it to the Sandusky meet up this summer. Peace ~Sunny~

  • As another person said, very well said. I made a few videos recently with some of my thoughts on a few things. If you have any thoughts to add feel free. :)

  • Nice shirt-hat combo going on.

  • The Vloggers are the Glue that hold the community together. My hats off to all of you guys! As far as I am concerned here, the Vloggers have all of the Notoriety and Muscle here on YT.

Keep up the great work Zen! and you too, Be Well!

  • It's true, you get to feel like you actually know the vlogger.

  • well said. very well articulated

  • (-:P hi zen!!! Well said

  • I could not agree More with you man Fun & Friend is why I'm here :)

  • Thanks for the response, i appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. I must admit, they pretty much match mine, not that that surprises me. I totally agree with your point about vloggers not having an agenda.

Although i do occasionally branch out from vlogging. That's what i came here to do & what i will continue to do.

I've been watching you on & off since i joined YT in August 2006 btw. Keep up the good work :)

  • Vloggers MADE YOUTUBE FAMOUS. Vloggers are what make YouTube interesting. I would hardly ever visit YouTube if it were not for my vlogging friends. I enjoy other entertainment vids as well but you can find them anywhere. The vloggers, especially the originals like yourself, made this site the juggernaut that it is today. Peace. Do you think you will ever get back to doing daily vlogs the way you used to?

  • I think YouTube does care about the social networking aspects of the site because the industry hypes social networking. But it probably depends on whether they see themselves as a Web 2.0 or a new media company. Google would definitely have a Web 2.0 perspective.

  • its always knowing zen's rights to youtube.

  • Zen, Question.... a person you put in your desc slammed me on a vid I did. NOT a problem towards her, she has a right to her feelings and I respect her for it. However, does "respect" for vloggers spill over to respect for the person to respect for the subject and vice-versa? I ask because I had a huge thing lately.

  • I'm one of your older subscribers. I enjoy coming here to hear what you have to say. I will continue to do so.

  • The only gathering I have been to (Houston Gathering) was put together by HappySlip; she isn't a vlogger.

You are one of the lold school youtube vloggers, Zen. One of the first people I watched on YouTube...

I do a mix of vlogging and entertainment (mostly vlogging).
