  • 3.01 Top Cock!

  • on the roll call "Electrician - George Bush"

  • The flyer for this rave was a evil looking mask.

  • @Slooober Big respect mate nice one!!

  • Safe safe all you old school ravers !! Rest assured my generation is still hitting it hard :) dont suppose anyone knows the tune that kicks in around 0.53, "injected with a poison" ?? Also theres another tune with a vocal sample of "we dont need that anymoore". If ANYONE could drop me some names for those two it would be very much appreciated! Respect to the roots!

  • @Irie3260 Praga Khan - Injected With A Poison (Original Mix), both vocal samples "Injected with a poison" & "We don't need that anymore" are from this song, made in Belgium.

  • at about 3.55 - It sounds like the copper says he'd talk to them lushly and they'd answer lushly

  • 5:02 says it all.

And then they brought in The Criminal Justice & Public Order Act and it's infamous "succession of repetitive beats" section, alongside "gatherings of more than 20 people" section.

And this is what put the final nail in the coffin.

    Bastards.

  • Call me a snob but watching some of those *ravers* in the clip is one of the reasons I stopped going. 1988-89, and to a lesser degre 1990, were the best years of dance music, it was underground, then KISS FM went legal and well see above, idiots turning up blowing whistles, the music reduced to a virtually tuneless dirge. Larry Heard, Sterling Void, Frank De Wulf, Carl Cox, Musto & Bones, to name a few were the reasons I got in to house music, the shit above is the reason I got out.

  • @Hammersmith80 It happens with most electronic scenes. Take Dubstep for example, it used to have great underground scene and events but has blown up now that both producers and the fans into the mainstream creating a new sound attracting a different audience, wrecking the scene.

  • @36hunters Exactly, none of those people never understood the scene. I remember the very first Energy & Biology, they were incredible parties with some incredible people, I made some long lasting friendships from those years and they all agree, the entire movement dumbed down to the lowest common demonitaor, soulless music, no heart beat just pack as many fools in a tent as you can and play the most piss-awful music whilst making a handsome profit.

  • @Hammersmith80 Thats capitalism yeah :) In a way it sucks when your favorite music gets raped by major record companies who dumb it down, but when you get older, u get used to it, it forces you to keep looking for new scenes..

  • @Slooober Quite agree, although there was a thriving alternative house scene that I got in to, least that's the term I gave it :) acts such as Cool Jack, Superreal, DOB etc, great stuff.

  • @Hammersmith80 And maybe you would have never moved there if the major record companies didnt milk the rave scene that was present there :) Myself i moved to the electro & distorted acid scene, quite comfy!

  • @Slooober I was in to Electro well before House, I have all the Electro albums on tape! god I feel old! lol. Loved acid-house, Phuture is one of my heros! :)

  • 06:54 - 07:04

  • i was at this rave it was the turning point of my life i never went to another rave again .maybe it was because i had such a great time doin the rave scene and this was the cherry on the cake .some of my frends went on and kept going for a few more years some came out of it and married and look back with a smile some dident come back at all and fell into drugs and fogot the music some frends are dead just because they dident know how to get of the roundabout

  • track id at 6:30? plz anyone

  • Bet that lad @3.00 is gutted now lol

  • thanks so much for the upload

  • NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL A PARTY! LOL 1:39 WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE

  • No word to say, just one letter... :)

I would like that quality back...

  • wots the tune called at 4.16 ?????

  • rolling balls @ 2:06

  • sorry all rave sounds the same. I prefer trance

  • i was surprised to find him with a geordie accent!

  • 8:05 - "Electrician - George Bush" LOL xD

  • i was there it was nocturnal in cramlington

  • He like that phrase lol HAVE A GOOD TIME

  • 92/93 when it turned tacky.

  • @chris99140 i now it sounds fucking a bit elitist ,but you are right. in my town by this point 92-93 all the wankers who were taking the piss in 89 were now into it,you thought fuck that.

  • @erictheviking871

round my way, they were all dancing with pint glass's on their heads, how naff!

  • chewing gum and repetitive jaw movement, mmmmmmmmm 7:40 he definately had a good time.

  • WTF are you on about ENYA, there is no Enya samples in this video!

If anything is sounds like it samples Blue Sky by Mo lester?

    wot you on man?

  • @djlukeyp

actually track at 6:50 Air Of Gloom - Meditation (astro mix) uses samples of 'Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) by Enya'

  • whats the tune at 5:25 ?? anyone? Sounds fucking epic!!!

  • at 2.30 one for the camera , MAGIC

  • one person slipped while dancing and pressed the dislike button by accident

  • 2:20 lol he's totally from cumbria, can tell by his accent : )

  • What is that tune called with the throw your hands up line in it please.

  • I was born in 1990. I would give anything to be there, bottle of water in one hand, bag of beans in the other. Pure heaven.

  • thats what its about. amazing music and 3rd degree GURNS!

  • INJECTED WITH A POISON

  • look at those disgusting young people, "raving" and having unauthorized fun. they should be in bed getting ready for work in the morning. work and watching television, that's all they should be allowed to do!!

  • Just think, no alcohol, no violence, no arrogance, no one posing for facebook photos, no fat people, just friendly happy blissed out ravers dancing all night, what's not to like?!

  • @slideshowrod exactly, and the police and politicians stopped it all... And what for, to sucessfully promote the bar brawls and stabbings on nights out these days... What fookin tools.......

  • 3.30 The Police Officer says the partygoers werent communicating...

Maybe not on a verbal level.....but on a conciousness level they were.

    RAVE ON : )

  • guy at 2:13, could he be any more off his face!?!

  • @jm338 I reckon the girl at 2:17 was worse

  • 2.55 - quality!

  • lol @ the blokes doing poppers

  • Praga Kahn - ''Injected with a Poison,

    Fuckin' Stomper !

  • 4:00, thats cos the E's were better back then!!!

Ye just couldn't stop, u'd be still flying the next day!!!!! :D

  • That looks AMAZING compared to the shit raves done by my generation.

  • @MegaDickinmyass Wow. Since you see it that way, lets reverse the logic. People who talk shit on youtube are just outcasts trying to evade getting a job. Fucking squares... See? To everyone their own. Half of these people here are more productive in society (work, school, etc.) than you are. It shows by the nature of your comments. P.L.U.R. dude.

  • I used to have this on VHS, I thought it was a great doc. Pretty fair

  • The priest saying that he thinks rave culture is unhealthy...bonkers!

  • REMINISCE: Part 1;

With Billy and Annie, we danced through the night,

With Billy and Annie, till the early morning light,

Billy, Pink Chamagne, that we would all adore,

Annie, a Dove, that would help us to soar,

Perspiration dripping, as we danced without care,

Thinking back, i wish i was still there,

The Bass Bins pounding, the Speakers so loud,

In your own little world, but still one of the crowd.....

  • @FullToTheBrim1

    I love it. Nice one.

  • @spektreumek Thank you. I thought this upload was wonderful, as it reminds us of those Happy Happy days with fantastic nights and appropriate for "REMINISCE". If you are interested, there are some more poems on my channel on the DJ Easygroove vids and the Top Buzz vids.

  • @FullToTheBrim1

I wiil check em out now. Touching verses about magical times that sum it up well. ;)

  • REMINISCE: Part 2;

The tunes had you dancing, you could not keep still,

Buzzing and rushing, from one little pill,

But morning soon came and off we would drift,

Go home to chill, with our tunes and a spliff,

Those nights were the best, you have to agree,

And remembered for always in my memory.

Dedicated to all the OLDSKOOL ravers out there, you know the score!

  • @FullToTheBrim1

  • Whats that tune that kicks off at 4:15 ? i used to have it on one of my REZ tapes back in the day... fuckin loved it a real hardcore BANGER !!!

  • Hmm, it's got that classic 'Hoover / Mentasm' sound, but hard to find the actual song since there were so many songs made with that sound around that time..

  • AHH! THOSE ROBOTS ARE BADASS!!

  • 4:49 'The treat of violence just wasnt there'

BECAUSE EVERY1 WAS HIGH ON DRUGS U KNOBJOCKEY

  • I believe he knows that most the people were on drugs and that was the point he was making... 2000 people all in their own world (caused by the drugs) and being drugs instead of alcohol eliminated the threat of violence... you think he doesnt know they were all on drugs? really? lol I think he'd just rather get paid double time to deal with a bunch of happy peaceful dancers than a bunch of drunken belligerent idiots

  • i know the advert right at the end, theres the start of a advert haha.

  • Funny how the police chief thinks everyone is in a world of their own and not prone to violence. he doesn't even realize the majority is on x-tasy lol

  • That guy at 2:08 gettin prepared for swine flu!

  • rofl i was thinking the same thing since people in my city wear the exact same mask all paranoid with hand sanitizer

  • Hey Damon, really appreciate your time on this one matey. But I think you may have got it mistaken for 'oserving the earth' by 'dye witness' which also from 1992. This track is very similar indeed that features a similar stabbing lead. Let me know if you can (if this is right, or wrong!?) cheers matey and respect. Mitch ;p

So people, i'm still looking for the name of the track @ 4MIN 15Secs.. Any help appreciated!! ;p

  • I had it on vinyl back in those days. I don't really the name of it anymore but it was released on the Belgian Music Man label in '92. A huge floor filler in Belgium. Good luck finding it!
