If you guys like this you should check out the Kaboom game I created on the iPhone and iPod touch. Just search the App store for "Kaboom!", by Stacey Abshire
i was at a game convention an there was a tortement for this game the one guy got 1/3 of the world record then went for it again and stomped it and had 22569 old record was something around 15000 it was great i got a pic on my cell phone :)
Wow, I love these videos of the old early 80's games.
Don't think I could ever go back to playing many of them though. I've been spoiled by the graphics and complexity of the more recent PS2 games like God of War and the Tomb Raider series.
I spent many hours with these games back in the day though.
I had this. Do I remember correctly that the Bomber does something special for you at 10,000 points? Do you know what it is? Is there a video of this?
@schoolfilmer - There is an iphone game that has similar gameplay called Mad Monkey and it gets insanely fast. "ninja monkeys in action on iphone" pulls it up on youtube.
@schoolfilmer Well... they did. It's a keychain game made by Tiger Electronics. They WOULD make a Kaboom remake, but Activision is too damn busy stuffing the market's face with bland First Person Shooters and boring as hell music games. Seriously, what went wrong with Activision? When will they ever go back to what made them good; games with some actual creativity?
@schoolfilmer Exactly, my friend. If they released more games like the new Ghostbusters game, then maybe CoD wouldn't exist, and games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band would only have a couple of sequels. Wonderful games like that should come out instead.
Same here!!! Record near 282K, totalled 3 pairs, cleaned them like 15 times each before they became unusable. I was pretty disappointed to see the 100K didn't change madbomber's face.
This was actually one of my favourite games as a kid. Got pretty good at it, not perfect or anything; my record was about 300,000 points. What was annoying was when the paddle controls got all jittery. I wore out quite a few of them. Pulling off the cap to clean and oil them helped a bit, but they were never again good as new.
didnt know this was an actual game, just thought it was a made up arcade minigame on sims 2 ds

Looks pretty simple
I could make a remake, it would just take a bit of time
Contact me if anyone is interested in me making it.

No one has a clue what happened to them. Hell, indie games has more originality than Activision has now.
