I dont even get to install it. If i Boot of my Leo CD to Install it, i get endless text messages "still waiting for root device" and then 5 times (I forgot the exact name,but it was this kernel problem thing =))...
@OoLP44oO Wait u got the solution?? though i think the problem is the kernel. though if ur not able to type then dont boot it up with -s boot it up with cpus=1 or -v cpus=1 busratio=20 or -f cpus=1 busratio=20 or -v cpus=1 or -f cpus=1 one of em should work oh and also if none work u can try cpus=1 busratio=20 iarchi386 =)
hey man i'M trying to install snow leopard retaill on my external hard drive, i'm using a usb stick to boot it off then install it on my external hard drive.
BUT after when the installations about to be done it say this
"Install failed. Mac OS X could not be installed on your computer
The installer could not make the computer start up from the volume"mac". You may need to select your disk using startup Disk utility.

My specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ / 2.8 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE
3GB RAM
350GB HDD
And i get the still waiting for root device error! PLEASE HELP!

Im using SCSI hdd? what does that even mean. Also, i get this error and i havent even installed it yet.

You need to include ones for different chipsets... ie intel nvidia sis via not just for one make....
