@101020sarah It can vary. When their skin goes cloudy or their eys go from their normal colour to a blue/grey colour, you snake is preparing to shed. it will take between 7-20 days to fully finish.
i had a baby cornsnake i just got him yesterday and he shedded and got all his sking off in less than 2 minutes and if you know a lot about cornsnakes can you tell me what this weird slimy stuff in my cage i just got it and i dont know what it is.
i left somthing out to monstermash012. cloudy eyes and not eating is completly normal, but you should try feeding him every day you need to just in case.
i need some help i got a corn snake on sunday and the guy said feed it on tuesday but my snake didnt want it i tryed today and still no he is a bit pale and hes eyes are cloudey round the eage is he shedding or just not setteled in ? plz reply
my corn snake shed last night i thought i saw him laying on his hide i got a closer look it was his skin lol his very nocturnal he hides all day and is active at night.
My snake shed for the first time a few days ago. I saw the skin in his cage. It grossed me out for some reason. xD I didn't even get to see him do it, but interesting vid.
its not dirty. its humid. corns shed alot better when the cage is misted around the time they shed, after my snake's eyes turn fron blue to black is when i start misting it out... & the cage does look pretty small for a specimen that size, perhaps its just a temporary feeding/shedding box
That looks WAY too small a cage for that size snake, try a 30 gallon er something bigger than 20. Theres nothin in it either!! Poor snakes got nothin to shed against but THE WALL! Get some stuff in there, and clean it that place looks FILTHY, gross, is that a regurgitated mouse I see, or snake poop?!? Oh yeah, mine always sheds at night too, once I was reading in bed, and when I was about to go to bed, I looked and he had shedded already, I was sittin right there too!
hey all you dumd fucks can shut the hell up, news paper is on of the best beddings for a snake. aspen or bark shavings are a breeding ground for mites and other bugs. paper towels are the best thing to use.
cool, i have a corn that looks just like urs and a rat snake witch is basicly a type of corn snake in the same tank and they shed exacly like this, too bad my corns are both girls,no babys :(
Bless. Such a pretty snake. I love it when they shed. The difference in colour before and after is amazing to see. Just filmed my little snow corn shedding today and uploaded it ^.^ Feel free to have a nose if you so wish ^__^
how do you get your snake to shed in one piece? i'm an inexperience ball python owner. the humidity reads 60-70ish, and there's a water bowl in the tank, which is located in a dark corner.
ive used newspaper with my corn snake, and she was fine with it no problems at all, the only reason i changed to aspen is because it looked better lol
how often do they shed?
DafneLazou 1 month ago

shedding has more to do then just with feeding habits. excretion from certain glands for instance

how often do they shed?
coolerthanyou19 4 years ago
depends on how much you feed them. Snakes grow according to the amount of food they get.
hellstoilet 4 years ago
But on average every 4-6weeks (Adult snake) ...Younger ones can do it couple times a month.

yeah he jus made it tht way cuz humidity helps it shed
badassblackman 4 years ago
that is fucked up his tank is fuckin foggy
TuRk1y3 4 years ago
the viv isn't dirty, I'm guessing the person who made the video sprayed water inside the tank to raise the humidity which helps the snake shed.
