  • how often do they shed?

  • i herd it is not good to pick them up when they are in the mid of shedding im going to be getting one and need info on them and when do the shed?

  • @101020sarah It can vary. When their skin goes cloudy or their eys go from their normal colour to a blue/grey colour, you snake is preparing to shed. it will take between 7-20 days to fully finish.

  • i bought a corn snake around a month ago and the owner told me he would shed his skin that week but he still hasnt!

    should i be worried?

my snake is very very lively though, please respond thanks

  • how do you make it so humid?

  • is this normal or okeetee?

  • how do u tell if an orange corn snake is shedding or not cauz mine just bit me but she is a baby

  • shedding is so slow

  • i had a baby cornsnake i just got him yesterday and he shedded and got all his sking off in less than 2 minutes and if you know a lot about cornsnakes can you tell me what this weird slimy stuff in my cage i just got it and i dont know what it is.

  • It's probably their vomit or poop. Lol

  • @blazer77782 mine dun same im guessing it shit

  • Had the owner given the snake a rough rock to run against, It would have been a way faster process.

  • i left somthing out to monstermash012. cloudy eyes and not eating is completly normal, but you should try feeding him every day you need to just in case.

  • i need some help i got a corn snake on sunday and the guy said feed it on tuesday but my snake didnt want it i tryed today and still no he is a bit pale and hes eyes are cloudey round the eage is he shedding or just not setteled in ? plz reply

  • if hes not eating and his eyes are cloudy, it means hes in blue, wich means shedding. i hope i was help to you!

  • your snake is dying in that piece of shit!!!!!

  • arsehole!!

  • cool.......one of my ball pythons is about to shed......my other one just did like a week ago

  • i have a 4 month old snow cornsnake she loves going up my sleeve =]

  • no need to feed your cornsnake when its shedding because it wont be hungry feed it as soon as it sheds

  • when your snake was in shed mode did you feed him?

  • Well I still gave mine mice but it didnt always eat them. Try giving them anyway that's what i do incase

  • my corn snake stopped shedding near that had area...is that bad?

  • that BETTER not be a heat rock

  • corn*

  • oh yh you need a bigger viv alright thats a very small of for a cron that size

  • DUDE U NEED A BIGGER VIV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my corn snake shed last night i thought i saw him laying on his hide i got a closer look it was his skin lol his very nocturnal he hides all day and is active at night.

  • My snake shed for the first time a few days ago. I saw the skin in his cage. It grossed me out for some reason. xD I didn't even get to see him do it, but interesting vid.

  • tank is 2 small

  • mate, clean that viv out it looks filthy,(for the snakes sake)

  • its not dirty. its humid. corns shed alot better when the cage is misted around the time they shed, after my snake's eyes turn fron blue to black is when i start misting it out... & the cage does look pretty small for a specimen that size, perhaps its just a temporary feeding/shedding box

  • looks kinda too humid

  • wow your a dumbass.

  • do they shed because they grow?

  • yesiree bob

  • are you aloud to hold them and let them move so there sheeded skin comes off

  • That looks WAY too small a cage for that size snake, try a 30 gallon er something bigger than 20. Theres nothin in it either!! Poor snakes got nothin to shed against but THE WALL! Get some stuff in there, and clean it that place looks FILTHY, gross, is that a regurgitated mouse I see, or snake poop?!? Oh yeah, mine always sheds at night too, once I was reading in bed, and when I was about to go to bed, I looked and he had shedded already, I was sittin right there too!

  • hi nice snake check out my vid of my red rat snake eating a big mouse .

  • clean that dirty ass cage

  • How long exactly is he?

  • aha my little buggers always shed wen im sleeping!

    urr nocturnal animals

  • shedding has more to do then just with feeding habits. excretion from certain glands for instance

  • how often do they shed?

  • depends on how much you feed them. Snakes grow according to the amount of food they get.

  • But on average every 4-6weeks (Adult snake) ...Younger ones can do it couple times a month.

  • the glass that shows at 1:17 that shit is dirty man clean it

  • I liked at the beginning of the vid, him poking his head around, is he a character? lol

  • mine is in his "blue" stage its where they have a about a week until they shed

  • yeah he jus made it tht way cuz humidity helps it shed

  • that is fucked up his tank is fuckin foggy

  • the viv isn't dirty, I'm guessing the person who made the video sprayed water inside the tank to raise the humidity which helps the snake shed.

  • dude keep your terrarium better. its looks like its a red gas in it. and you need more reptilbark..

  • Newspaper is a valid substrate.

It might be ugly, but it is alright to use.

  • i feel sorry for that snake having to live in such an ugly and dirty enclosure.

  • Ha! That's so cool. I wish I could shed - instant makeover! You have a really pretty snake there.

  • hey all you dumd fucks can shut the hell up, news paper is on of the best beddings for a snake. aspen or bark shavings are a breeding ground for mites and other bugs. paper towels are the best thing to use.

  • i use ASTRO-TURF its the bet ive used.

i heard carpet is good too, but hard to clean

  • badly keept but any ways nice nake and mines sheded twice!! looks like urs.. a loooooooottttttttt smaller though.lol

  • nob man get a better tank n tht for it man scruffy mong use news paper

  • you keepyour corn snake in a bad inviramint i mean come on news paper

  • Ha! It's like unwrapping a present. Inside is a pretty new snake.

  • cool, i have a corn that looks just like urs and a rat snake witch is basicly a type of corn snake in the same tank and they shed exacly like this, too bad my corns are both girls,no babys :(

  • ye, tht is a stupid question.. its worth nothing..lol and u spelt snake wrong..

  • and u spelled spelled wrong lol

  • This might be dumb . But is the skin worth anything .

Im gona have to get me a corn sanek . they are so cool

  • they not worth anything but you could use it as a condom if u wanna save some money i say

  • lol

  • how much did ur corn snake cost i realy would like to get one of my own but im not sure how much thay cost pm me thanks peace out ;)

  • Bless. Such a pretty snake. I love it when they shed. The difference in colour before and after is amazing to see. Just filmed my little snow corn shedding today and uploaded it ^.^ Feel free to have a nose if you so wish ^__^

  • how do you get your snake to shed in one piece? i'm an inexperience ball python owner. the humidity reads 60-70ish, and there's a water bowl in the tank, which is located in a dark corner.

    any suggestions?

  • That's so cool, I've yet to catch any of mine in the act!! It's amazing the diffeence in colour afterward, isn't it? Like a whole new snake...

  • haha it looks like its eating itself

  • Kool Vid Man!!!

Ive just managed to film mine shedding!

    You shud chek it out!

And i think newspapers alright, like neoseeker said, i use aspen because of the look too!

    Awsome Vid!

  • how long is your snake?must be full grown. mines about 7months old and is just over a foot lol

  • newspaper is fine to use with corn snakes...

  • kitcehn towels better neoseeker as the ink and the dust off newspaper can give a corn snake breathing problems

  • ive used newspaper with my corn snake, and she was fine with it no problems at all, the only reason i changed to aspen is because it looked better lol

  • yeah its best to give an authentic look lol check out my videos neoseeker

  • jeez that things huge!

  • Sell your camera and buy him a decent home for crying out loud. Newspaper???

  • best bedding ever

  • @innos1nz Not quite. Use something like wood chipping, really small type, or Aspen bedding.

  • yea really u should use better stuff for bedding.

  • it is one of the best beddings ever, or scott towel too

  • WOW I have never seen mine do this Cool Thanks for posting : ) 5*
