For all the folks who say they are tempting the Lord, what are they tempting the Lord to do? If you say you're not supposed to test God. Than you don't know your scripture. Through out scripture, God consistently asks His people to test him. Malachi says to test God with tithing. If you going to knock the snake handlers, use a different argument. That one doesn't hold up to scripture.

PUMPKIN BROWN AND HIS WIFE GOT BIT TO VENOMOUS DEATH AT SERVICES THAT HANDLE SNAKES, AND LEFT THEIR CHILDREN BEHIND FOR THEIR GRANDPARENTS TO HAVE TO RAISE ON SOCIAL SEC. MONEY, (STATE MONEY). NOW THESE CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO GROW UP WITHOUT THEIR BIOLOGICAL PARENTS. Just because I don't understand these folks, I am a Christian, I am also pentecostal holiness, I have been filled with the Holy Ghost and have the gifts of tongues and interpretation but I do not handle snakes. But I don't knock these folks! First of all they are fellow Christians,secondly from their accent sounds like they are also fellow southerners. I commend these folks on what they are doing,and any attempt to make them stop would be futile and unAmerican!

The people in this video appear in several books about snake handlers in West Virginia. WV is unique in that this practice is protected by law, and it is legal for them to handle these snakes without a license.

How can you tempt God when you are obeying the bible? People need to get on their knees and pray, instead of trying to twist the word of God around. Brave people. But Scripture interprets Scripture and all Scriptures are established by the word of two or three witnesses (2 Cor. 13:1). This activitity is not happening in Scripture, not even Jesus who said this participates in such activities. It is not found in Apostolic early chucrh history....so this was not thier understanding of what was meant. So what was meant? Luke 10:17-19 & Acts 28:3 are good cross-references for what is meant here.
