  • lol, I have the same tshirt :D

  • You're an amazing teacher, Damian! I've got it memorized completely in just a half hour of practicing, now I just need to work on the speed and picking. That whole solo was very daunting at first, but your short video actually broke it down so well, this was such a fast learn. Keep playing and keep teaching, you're quite awesome. And if you haven't listened to the song Nine Lives by the Stray Cats, enjoy that one and possibly make a lesson on that one! Thanks for sharing this!

  • @tommyv331992 Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson. Keep on rockin..

  • sex and the city

  • sex and the city top left !!!!!!!!! jajaajajajaj

  • @elsariguella

    jajajaja sape bananero!

  • sweet playing, man! Diggin' that Descendents shirt!!

  • Excellent. I love the rockabilly thingy and especially Brian Setzer, of which you do a great job! .... yer inspiring me to get some of these rockin' licks under my belt. {I'd love to support your efforts, but I got this thing about learning by ear. :-) ---besides being laid off at the moment! }

  • Great shirt !!

  • hey man, nice video, i have a question. why is there tape on the two switches at the top?

  • @Guitar1hero23I just put tape on the switches becasue I get wild and crazy when I play live, and I get very aggressive, and on this guitar I would always seem to be bumping into the switches and changing the tone in the middle of a song. So with this I solved the problem..

  • @Damianblf oh ok, i do the same thing. i pick hard , and always end up knocking down the toggle switch on my strat

  • Decendents fuck yeah!!! love your videos man especially this one you really broke it down for the average string plucker more so then in the other ones. This is a good starter one for us beginners then we can move on to your other videos. Thanks alot man

  • Love your Stuff.

  • Little too much reverb or delay going on or whatever you had there, but nice job otherwise dude

  • Awesome

  • Sweet playing. I really enjoyed it. Thanks

  • hiya - love your vids. one question why the tape on the pick up selector and mud switch?

  • this is by no means easy...I can't play worth a damn but I wanna learn Rockabilly in the worst way...thanks for the lesson!

  • Thank you very much for taking up your time posting these lessons. It has been a tremendous help for me!

  • Awesome lesson! Forget the critics. Thanks for your time and effort. Your lessons are really helping me out, I am loving this style of playing. I am still starting out and recently picked up a Godin hollow body guitar to fit the sound and it plays awesome and fit the budget!

  • Forget the nasties, great lesson! You have no idea what a huge and positive effect you have on us aspiring guitarist. To have access to your lessons is a gift. Keep em coming. I love them. Thanks for taking the time. Best of luck.

    Chrees from sweden

  • Yo Damion, thanks for all the great vids...you not only have a major knowledge of many styles, but it's great to see that rockabilly is where your heart is and you have enough passion to share it with us. I have only playing lead for a few years...but your vids have helped me move forward in my playing by leaps & bounds!...thanx man...

  • loved it 5*****

  • Good feel nice playing.. a bit heavy on the reverb.. seems to muddy things up though. ... just my opinion though.. nice playing

  • great stuff! are your videos slower and more instructional? I have a hard time following all the notes when your trying to explain them

  • GREAT job ! i wish i could play something like rock-a-billy and not just mindless rock or metal.

  • great lesson..forget the douche that has no clue..most musician s are too busy judging to ever really appreciate playing..great lesson....

  • cool T dude!...play "Sour Grapes"!

  • Nice stuuf. I'll use it in my playing. Than you for a great lesson.

  • your shirt might be one of the worst bands ever! but the guitar sounds good

  • Got to grab one of these after Christmas. Superb stuff, Damian.

  • Cheers Damian. Thanks for the insight! All the best, Joe Solo.

  • Hey Damian, i order your DVD a coupe of days ago, i can't wait to get it!!

I'm having a little trouble figuring out the quick run near the end of the song (5:05 blues run) Are you using hammer ons? it would be great if can break it down slower, possbly in a video response.

    cheers, Alex

  • Really nice video lesson...again. Thanks.

  • Muchas gracias, thank you very much

  • @bulkrivero

mirelurk1 is way to dark to even be a musician, I have never seen such a low level

comment. Let's forgive mirelurk1 for he doesn't know what he is doing.

  • mirelurk1 is just jealous of your skills mate - keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for sharing Damian, I've learned a lot watching your vids. Now I'm getting the DVD 4 sure

  • @mirelurk1 Ok dude,I usually just remove comments that are rude, but I hate doing that because it says comment removed, and everyone wonders why it was removed. But your comment is really rediculous. I share a small home with my wife and daughter. There are obviously going to be certain things around the house that are not of my particular interest. Thanks for the comment and have a good day

  • @Damianblf mirelurk1 is just jelous that he cant rock the shit out of the guitar like you can lol, exelent job

  • @Damianblf wow..... after you schooled that Gretsch on how rockabilly should sound all that asshole could muster was a comment about a poster? jeez. Absolutely kick ass playin man.

  • @Damianblf :

In regards to mirelurk1, It's not really his fault, it's the inbreeding.

Thanks for posting a great video !

  • has your guitar been shot?

  • do you have like giant hands or something?! that descending run before it heads back into the A chord is impossible for me to do with my ring finger.

  • Damian.....great job!!!! what I have been looking for......all I ask for is ......more please!

  • 5:11 sounds like there's a pull off to the open string

  • Comment removed
