iM 18 now and though i have grown out of the run and gun shooter gangster style game of GTA, in my past i too spent hours and hours playing GTA: Vice City and GTA san Andreas. . For many people who play these games, they are simply a way to have fun or blow off steam. see I can in myself the devaluation of human life. But at the end of the day... you just got to know the difference between real life and the game. and thats where i drew the line. i still love shooting ghames

Is this show ACTUALLY for real? Or is it just some kind of spoof? If it is actually real then this is a really good example of what we call "propaganda". What's the harm in a game that lets people blow off a litttle steam? If people are being negatively influenced, then all the money attention should go to helping the people who would act like this even before experiencing this title, not banning a quick scapegoat for the blame...

There are no Chainsaws in Grand Theft Auto 4..

And you could play 50 hours of Grand Theft Auto without murdering a single person.. it is like real life.. You can decide to kill people or not... If you kill someone on the game your wanted level goes up.. So it isn't the greatest idea to kill someone.. .. And for the missions where you have to kill people.. They are armed and shooting you most of the time anyway.. And sometimes you can even have the option to let them live

it isnt a criminal act to sell a game to a minor, maybe against company policy but not law. The ESBR isnt a federal institution that restricts games to age groups, they make recomendments as to who the game would be approapite for based on the content of the game... if i owned a store there would be little signs that say, "we do not recognize the ESBR rating system or parental advisory warnings. Anybody with the money to purchace these items will be sold them"

i remember last year we read a short story in our literature books about gta vice city. One of our assignments was to write a short paragraph on how you can make a game like gta fun but without the violence, i said, "you cant. GTA is supposed to be like it is that is the whole purpose behind it and if you took it away there wouldnt be any game"

the game only allows you to be as violent as you want. You only have a knife or a baseball bat as a melee weapon. There are punishements for dying and being caught so you better not get in trouble. Also why is it that games like True Crime, Godfather, Mercenaries, Saints Row and other games where your some sort of thug killing innocents ever reaches any publicity? I mean the strip clubs only show remotly sexual acts without being actual sex. Also AO is like XXX for games

that means its up to the player to go on insane killing spree

in fact, the more crime you commit the higher the chance of you have of getting caught and losing money, weapons, items, etc

its the players choice to do whatever he wants because this is basically a virtual realistic world where the player is in control

yeah ive been playing since tuesday and i haven't found one instance where the game has told me to kill a civilian, cop, or prostitute

it is an action game, so you have to kill gang members and other shady ppl but even that is optional as you don't have to do the missions in the storyline as there are tons of other activities to participate in
