  • I wen't MGM and Epcot to day,I saw the turtle talk with crush and nearliy shat my pants in the level of the AI in the system but the turtle talk with crush is the onliy thing i can accept with the new Nemo and seas but rest of the Nemo and seas is more of a dumb down after thought.

  • I agree woolywoot88. I mean, I love nemo as much as anybody, but this is ridiculous!

  • I really miss the original Living Seas. I was lucky enough to see the SeaCabs for the first and only time just a few months before they closed, and I definitely prefer the more serious feel the original pavilion had. I was there for the first day of the Nemo version as well... and it was just missing what made the original interesting to me.

  • Why can't EPCOT (yes, not Epcot) be educational anymore? When it was fun to learn, Disney poured millions into these E-Ticket attractions that really made learning fun. Why have they stopped? It is b/c people only want thrill rides and movie rides? To that I say, since when has Disney cared what people want? They give it to us, and we buy it.

  • I tend to think that the biggest problem with Future World is that it doesn't have a focus any more. It seems very random. It also seems so empty now, both conceptually and as far as the attractions are concerned. Thrill rides are fun.....but in the end, people seem to remember and hold onto the experiences they had in attractions like Horizons, Journey into Imagination and World of Motion. I used to spend most of my time in Future World, but now I spend most of it in World Showcase.

  • I totally agree. I think the main reason EPCOT (or whatever you want to call it now) is still my favorite park is b/c of it's history. most kids i've talked to now hate Epcot. they would much rather be entertained at the studios or magic kingdom. they want to see characters. even disney doesn't know what it is. their website even called SE a giant golf ball.

  • yet another awesome video

  • Sigh. Another fond childhood memory, one of wonder, imagination, and even education, gone from the world. I remember walking into it after the 'renovations' and feeling nauseated. I could be wrong, but it seemed like the 'clam-mobile' ride obscured much of the once unobstructed view of the coral reef and sea life.

Ah, well. So long as videos like this exist, it will never be gone completely. Here's to hydrolators, 20k Leagues Under the Sea movie props, and SeaBase Alpha.

  • This is EPCOT Center coming at you with music and fun, and if you're not careful you might learn something before it's done! It's a good thing they're removing all the dangers of education these days.

  • God forbid a child being inspired to... *gulp*... learn! *shivers*

  • Oh wow, For years, I've been looking for a copy of this preshow for years and I've been looking for a copy of this preshow and finally found it. Thank you so much. By the way, I miss the living seas.

  • Dig that 80's typography.
