  • Re what year it was set in, Grant was Prez from '69 to '77 and both Custer and Hickok ( they had cameos ) were killed in 1876, so for my educated guess, it was circa early 1870s.

  • The Gabriel toy company made the Legend of the Lone Ranger action figure line with a mail away cardboard western town, not Kenner. Also, Christopher Lloyd was made into a Kruge action figure from "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" on two different occasions. He was also made into a statuette based on his Judge Doom character from "Roger Rabbit."

  • @Bluesnaggs Hello and thanks for mentioning those - I forgot Lloyd was even in Star Trek III. Is the Judge Doom figure more recent? Anyways, thanks for the info.

  • @Faust6688 I don't believe that the Judge Doom figure was even an action figure, but a statuette from around when the movie was released, 1988.

  • I liked your review. Do you know the name of the actor in the radio show who had that very deep, gravelly voice? he usually played the villain, but he often played other characters, even good ones. my guess it was Bill Saunders, but i can't be sure.

  • @pcx34 You might be thinking of Brace Beemer who had the deep voice and played the Ranger...u are right about Bill Saunders as the villain(s) though I can't say if he had a deep voice.

  • @Faust6688 thanks for getting back! I'll try to find material, but it's hard to find anything on otr supporting cast members. this actor was a regular and his voice was grindingly deep as opposed the the mellow deep voice of the lone ranger (brace beemer also was unmistakable as sgt. preston for a while in the challenge of the yukon...bob hite narrated both shows too).

  • Hey Jerry,

Can you tell me where the Bonita Granville cameo is in the film? I'm watching it now and didn't see any 60 year old women.

  • @tlyoung88 She may have appeared near the beginning of the film on the covered wagon trail...but I can't for sure. I do not have the film on tape or DVD so I can't check. Loved her in Hitler's Children

  • The only reason I remember this film was it was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. The second was Superman 2, which was much better.

  • You are way off...Lone Ranger is one of the best action films ever. Decent review and Ia m sorry u missed the whole point of kidnapping the U.S. president
