paul steely and janette sadik khan are bike nazi's trying to create MORE traffic and MORE idling on the streets. face it. folks in cars will NOT stop driving to get on a bike b/c of more bike lanes. only the stupid hipsters on billyburg who are anti-subway bike. most of those folks dont even have a real job nor pay taxes. yes, cars are a problem, but killing parking spaces only leads to MORE TRAFFIC, and MORE congestion. not less. impeach bloomberg and pet puppet, JSK. TransAlt are socialists

I'm a IT guy who commutes into Manhattan from Brooklyn. I have a job and pay taxes. A lot of my colleagues love riding in the city, and they have jobs and pay taxes. If more people biked, got a little exercise, and enjoyed the fresh air, they'd understand the benefits. Instead of being so reactionary and conspiratorial, why not rent a bike and try it out? It's fun.

PS. Yep, I'm a socialist -- and proud.

heh, i bike too. why rent? i own 2 bikes. but most of the bike lanes DONT make sense. the parking protected bike lanes on columbus ave are a good example of why it doesnt make sense. commerce requires delivery. which require trucks, which require parking. to take out that fundamental need, you lost commerce. Yes, there is a parking problem, and it only was exacerbated by JSK by removing parking. you dont cure the parking issue by removing parking.

I've been riding my bicycle since 1954 to get somewhere, not solely for sport. Likewise, to force Angelenos to ride bicycles won't work in Los Angeles, too dangerous. Dating since the Twentys, L.A. metro area is too far spread out, planned to accomodate only for private auto. Excellent video, and thanks for sharing.
