What a class act. I had just gotten stationed at Naval Hospital Great Lakes in 1989 and met him in 1990. He left an impression on us that warrants much respect. He is without a doubt the greatest natural hitter of the 90's! Thanks for carrying the torch for 19 years, you were the best.
From a Yankee fan, congrats to "The Big Hurt". A great player that deserved to have his number retired. Hard to believe that he only played in 5 All-Star Games. He will make the HOF first ballot.
