buenas, estoy pensando en comprar el G system, y me preguntaba si me podrias responder unas preguntas =)

si lo corro x el effects loop de un mesa rectifier, y le agrego al g system en el preamp un Tube Screamer, whammy y wah,tendra daños en el ampli? y otra si no se puede correr con el tube screamer por el effects loop y lo corro por adelante, que tanto se decolora el tono?

Hola,

Mira el gsys esta disenado para conectar pedales en los loops la cosa es que todo lo que corras en el loop te va a sonar differente por alguna razon el gsystem te cambia la senal al pasar por los loops yo estoy usando nova drive el el loop y trabaja bien pero si lo conecto directo al frente de el AMP suena mejor .. no se si es el effect loop de mi amp o el gsys. pero todo lo que es distorsion cambia el sonido un poco tenes que reajustarlo.

I love the V3. It has a lot of range. It can handle everything from crystal clean to Death Metal. The G system is another great system. On top of it's own great effects, it also has loops for you to connect your favorite old pedals as well. While controlling channel changes on your V3. A Great Rig! I'm using Carvin Legacy cabinets.

IT AROUND 480 AND 4 TAP REPEAT I HAVE THE MIX IN 24 NOW BUT ON THE V3 USED TO USE LESS MIX . I DONT HAVE MY GEAR AT HOME NOW ITS AT THE STUDIO THATS WHY IM NOT BEEN SPECIFIC WITH THESETTINGS

I had a PODXT Pro. When I had it I was pretty happy with the sound. When I sold it, I became whey happier. To me POD vs TC Electronics is just like when you compare a, bread that you can get at gas station and the home made one.

I have not try it .. sorry . but you cant compare Gsystem with any POD floorboard .Gsystem its only loop and efx midi controller no distortion or overdrive second it cost 3 times o more . quality also cant compare Gsystem top of the line efx.

The XT live and X3 are very close to the same thing. With the X3 you can run 2 amp models at the same time. The G-System is just effects with no distortion or amp models. It is made to add effects to an existing amp. The L6 line is nice if you want amp models but they dont work well as pure effect processors for your amp. The G-System is pretty much top of the line. It also cost 3 times as much as an X3.

Right .. I saw a guy playing with the pod live and sound really good he was using 2 combos and the floor board and sound pretty good but those are two different products its like try to compare Ferrari with BMW ..to good cars but different categories

First, I was wondering should I get a V3? Can it do heavy metal? I like to play Dream Theater time music. Is it good for that?

Second, will a Nova system change channels on a V3?

Everything with midi will be control the v3.. and the V3 distortion are really heavy not problem with that youll be fine

Thanks for the video Javier. I just purchased the g-system for my Carvin V3 heads. Love the tone, but I can't figure out the proper settings to switch V3 channels via midi. I've read the manual like a mad man and I must be missing something.......Help

Really easy .. go to the amp channel switches and hold the channel you want to assign and without letting go press and hold the other two at the same time .. then press the channel on the foot controller and u r ready to go....

Sorry G-system only effects not overdriver or distortion... Im using on the neck a Carvin single coil dual blade humbucker .. un of the best pickups I ever used... on the neck is same configuration but is from seymour duncan ..

yes you are right !! my sound is kinda blues now a little different from the video im using the v3 in the fat eq with a compresor in the front . sounds great.

I have this same amp and a Zoom g9.2tt and I've been trying to configure the two so I can get the V3 distortion and the Zoom's effects; unfortunately, it's not coming along so well the Zoom seems to be sucking the tone away.

Any suggestions?

You need to be more specific, How are you connecting the zoom? 4 cables method or in the front of the amp ?

I'm attempting to do the 4 cables method with the G9.2tt because it has one external loop before the amp modeling.

The modules in braces, [...], are on the Zoom G9.2tt. Basically the chain I'm going for is this:

Guitar-->[Comp-->EFX1-->EXTLOO­PSEND]-->V3Front-->V3EFXSEND--­>[EXTLOOPRTRN-->EFX2-->Delay--­>Reverb]-->V3EFXRTRN-->Marshal­l 4x12 Cab

This uses 4 cables when I set it up, it's just that the tone is weak when I do this.

Hola Gracias por el Comment... creo que podes conectar el Harmonizer en uno de los loop en la parte de atras de el G-Sys. realmente no se en que lugar de la cadena de effecto se usa el Harmonizer.

No tc-electronic G-system es un controlador de efectos solamente no tiene distorsion se le puede conectar distoriones o usar las distorsiones de el amplificador como las estoy usando yo .
