@Feylihn you are absolutely right. Electric car wins after only 2 decades of existance against fuel engines that has been developing since 150 years ago. What is going to happen in next decade...
You can also look at this way, the average person drives 60 miles a day 365 days a year at 20mpg @ $3.50 a gallon for gas times 20 years that is $76,650 in fuel used it will pay for its self in time.
@ddjj868 sher and ill enjoy driving the faster car for those 20 years. plus ill take the extra 100+ miles i can go on a tank vs the 245 the tesla can go before you have to waite for it to charge... while i fill up to go another 375+ in minutes. And if it snows you might want to leave your electric car at home.
@nukemutant187 The tesla roadster is not about a product destined to "pay itself off". It's a product that enables the opportunity to own a special piece technology at a premature state.
@vex123 I was replying to another comment, as you can see by the @ddjj868 at the beginning of the comment...And on that note, your full of shit... the same could be said about any car, the one you love just happens to cost 5 times what others cost. you want to see a " special piece of technology" check out the gtr r35 its alot more than just a big battery... its the opposite of the tesla in that it gives you more performance than you pay for...
@ddjj868 whats funny is that the MSRP of the tesla is $109,000.00. and it weighs 700lbs less than my STI. It was my first time racing, and this guy races every weekend. The only mod my car had was intake and and exhaust. and like you said the electric car was stock... how do you mod an electric car? bigger battery? for a so called electric supercar its nice to know my four door sedan thats 80K less will beat it around the track or down the strip and i dont have to plug it in.
@flguy32501 maybe? the tesla's dont have a traction issue off the line i spun my tires more than he did, besides electric cars make 100% torque off the line, and adding the extra drivetrain will slow him in the top end the same as other awd cars givin him no advantage against me besides im running mid 12's now and soon to be 11's. so, im not worried.
@mbdulka I got tuned and ran a 12.7 @106.5 on pump gas the other day, with bald tires spinning all the way threw first. i have a header ready to go on and then maybe an E85 tune and some faster times...
@nukemutant187 That's a very good time for a Stage 2 STi (you're still on the stocker turbo right?). Stock turbo record is 11.7! We have our work cutout for us! ;-) Good luck bro!
Thanks, between 5000-5500RPMs it was enough to spin the tires a little, you can hear it a little better in the other video i have where i race an ms3.

@nukemutant187 i can tell u hate electric cars

@bonds911 Electric is an underdeveloped technology for cars. You're comparing a decade or so of tech vs over 100 years of engineering.
You're right, it isn't fair.

@ddjj868 by the way you would have to drive your electric car 438,000 miles for it to pay for its self.

what RPM did you launch at? Sounded kinda low for a drag, but good job none the less beating a tesla!
