I'm sure you destroyed this record. I'm sure this is how all 1940's-1950's 78's will eventually be destroyed. You need to play this record on a modern record player with cartridge and jewel stylus and 3 grams of weight, not steel needle and 120 grams. Learn about records before you destroy them.
What I do with my records is my business not yours, the record is fine 1 playing with a steel needle is not going to destroy it.
